A cacophony of cracking sounds resounded around M town as the werewolves, greater imps and spiderkins as well as Alice broke out of their cocoons. They came out and looked at their hands, and the wolves started to howl in unison. Lily was woken up from her cultivation, which she had started the previous day, and sighed. She looked over at Alice as she stepped out of her cocoon, in her vampire form. Her skin was paler than before and their were strands of silver in her hair, but other than that, she looked no different than before.
"Congratulations on becoming a Vampire Noble." Lily said and Alice opened her status.

"So, do you like your new skills?" Lily asked
"Yeah, I even got another affinity." Alice said and Lily looked at her in shock
"Seriously, secondary affinities are rare. Which affinity did you get?" She asked
"Blood Affinity." Alice replied
"Oh, that's not so rare with vampires actually. But it's still a pretty versatile affinity." Lily said and Alice's mood dampened a bit. Just then, they heard the wolves howling once more in the distance.
"What's that about?" Alice asked
"Wolves were always rowdy and they get even worse with each evolution. They sometimes go out of control and their instincts take over, killing everything that isn't apart of their pack. Sometimes even attacking family members." Lily explained
"Really?" Alice said and she had a look of concern on her face.
"Don't worry, Colin and I talked about it, I think we found a trait that might work. It's called [Meditation], and it's supposed to bring a calm to users mind, similar to doing actual meditation. But I'm not sure that werewolves can even learn this." Lily said, the process for learning this trait required a bit of precise control. With how demonic energy flows through a werewolves body, wildly, precise control was difficult for them.
"You and Colin seems to discuss a lot of stuff without me." Alice said with a pout.
"Awww, your jealousy is cute." Lily said with a smile when she heard another howl.
"Ok, we should seriously see what is going on." Alice said and both of them flew outside the hotel. It was currently night time, which made Alice realize that it had taken a full day to evolve. The two of them soon arrived where the werewolves were fighting and the scene shocked them, well Alice while Lily just sighed and shook her head. Near the portal, the werewolves were fighting a bloody battle, fangs and claws pierced into their flesh in a brutal battle, painting the field red with blood. A few of the werewolves have transformed back into human form covered in blood and wounds while sitting to the side, out of the battlezone and both Alice an Lily rushed over to one of them.
"What's going on?" Alice asked
"I'm not sure myself, as soon as I was done evolving, I had this instinct to fight all the other werewolves. It has something to do with the skill, [Pack Mentality]." She said and Lily groaned
"What is it? Do you know what's going on?" Alice asked
"Yeah, it's alpha selection. They are gonna fight each other for the right to rule the pack." Lily said
"That's nonsense, even if they have a pack leader, won't their family leader or demon king have control over them." Alice said and Lily sighed
"I thought this was the sort of crap I'd only see in movies." Alice said and Lily looked at her confused. Alice flew over towards the fighting werewolves and floated above them with a worried look on their faces.
"Stop fighting now." She ordered and the werewolves stopped and looked at her.
[Authority overruled by the [Pack Mentality] skill.]
'What?' Alice thought when she saw the message and the werewolves growled at her before fighting again.
"It's hopeless let's just watch and try to prevent any of them from dying." Lily told her and Alice could only helplessly watch as they fought each other. For the next hour, the werewolves continued to fight each other, eliminating potential alpha after alpha, but luckily, none of them died as Alice and Lily, along with a few others quickly pulled them out of battle when they lost. More and more newly evolved members of the family appeared on the scene and Alice remembered that her and the wolves weren't the only ones who evolved. Luckily, all of them were in the city when it happened so they were safe. Soon, only two werewolves were left, one was Paul and the other was another werewolf named Emmett. As the two of them battled it out they heard a loud crack and they looked over towards the portal.
They could see the crystal surrounding the portal cracking. The two werewolves stopped fighting each other and turned towards the portal. The leprechauns quickly gathered around the portal and quickly tried reinforcing the crystal, but it was useless. The portal started to emit powerful waves of energy, destroying the crystals. The portal started to expand even more, stretching to over ten meters in height. Everyone paled as they sensed a malevolent force from the portal and two long, pale and thin hands pushed through the portal, at the very top, indicating the creature's height. Smaller creatures, around three meters in height, started pushing themselves out of the portal.
"Oh no, those are, windigos." Lily said terrified when she saw the deer skull head, with blue flames glowing in their eye sockets.
