Chapter 137 - Chapter 137 Cordial Conversation(1)

"Good afternoon." The man greeted in a masculine voice leaving me stunned

"G-good afternoon." I greeted back

"I am Ush'nar from the house of Sloth and I would like to ask you a few questions. Firstly, what is your name and which house do you belong to? Why are you traveling with a group of Holy creatures? And what are your intentions for this city?" The Demon, Ush'nar, asked

"I-I.....I am Colin Dunamis from the house of Weakness. I am helping these Holy creatures reach City B because I made a promise to a friend and as for my intention for this city, I am just passing through." I said in a serious tone with a straight posture while floating in the air, projecting weakness infront of a tier 4 creature.

"House of Weakness?...Oh, you must be that True Demon who created his own family. That is quite stupid if I do say so myself. But, I am not here to argue about such things, as long as you promise not to harm any of my family members I can let you pass, as for the holy ones, I haven't yet decided." Ush'nar said

"Sorry, but if I go, they will have to follow...i gave my word." I said and gripped my sword tighter, ready to fight at any moment.

"Well then, I have to respect a man of his word, but you see, I have a beef with the holy ones you see. They attacked my family and even though the other group got away, I can't just let it slide." He said and narrowed his eyes but this time I glared back at him, my eyes glowing red.

"You seem like a reasonable Demon, I'm sure that there's a way we can settle this peacefully." I said with a smile

"...Fine bring the leader here. I can't imagine that you're their leader, they would never follow a Demon after all." He said and I nodded my head. I flew back towards the buses and I could see everyone arming themselves with weapons, preparing to fight.

'Do they really think they can fight through over a hundred demons, most of those weapons won't even do anything.' I thought and I looked specifically at the soldiers arming themselves with guns. Ush'nar wasn't the only one at the gate, I sensed a few auras lingering behind the buildings and I managed to catch a glimpse of one of them in full Demon form. They looked like a humanoid crocodile with thick grey scales, they were atleast two meters tall with a jaw full of fangs ready to rip anyone or anything apart. Those bullets will most likely just bounce off their scales and piss them off.

"What's happening?" Sera asked

"They are willing to talk, he asked me to bring you back with me...can you tell them to put their weapons down?" I said to Sera and she frowned a bit but she seemed to understand why. If anyone of them, namely that saint Sam, were to accidentally fire at them, while me and Sera could escape, they stood no chance.

"Put down your weapons." She said to them and they looked at her with confused and frightened expressions.

"Surely you're joking my lady. There is an army of demons in our way and you want us to put down our weapons." Sam said angrily and Sera frowned

"Look, I know that all of you are scared but we have a chance to resolve this issue peacefully and we can't have one of you 'accidentally' firing at any of them." Sera said

"My lady, you have placed too much trust in this Demon, what makes you think he is not trying to sell us out to his fellow demons to secure his own safety. I will not lay down my weapons and neither will any of my fellow humans." He said with a serious expression on his face and the others seemed to echo this sentiment as none of them put down their weapons, the ones in the bus as the soldiers already laid down there guns the first time Sera asked. Sara's frown deepened and I could see her gripping the sword on her back while glaring at Sam but he was glaring back at her.

"This is a waste of time. Lay down your weapons now." I said with my eyes glowing red as I activated [Advanced Compulsion].
