We flew around the city swiftly in search of a new residence. Other than the previous area, everyelse seemed relatively undamaged and ordinary except for the occasional half eaten, rotting corpse and the abondoned buildings and cars. The city seemed peaceful, too peaceful. Not paying attention to that, Alice and I continued our search for a new house and soon we found one that seemed perfect. It was a two story house painted a pale blue colour with purple window panes. The inside of it was a mess which, is to be expected and luckily neither Alice nor I were squeamish as the scent of rotting corpses fill the house. After a brief conversation with Alice, which I lost, it was decided that I will take care of the corpses. Using my nose, I soon found the corpses, and with a disgusted expression, I incinerated all of them with my hell fire, leaving not even ash behind. I even managed to completely rid the house of the rotting smell which was a plus.
"I told you you were the right one for the job." Said Alice with a smirk as she entered the house.
"Yeah, I guess you were right. Now it's your job to clean the house." I said with a smirk
"What, we never agreed to that." Alice said with a frown.
"Don't worry you don't have to clean the entire house. Just two of the bedrooms, the kitchen and the living room, just make sure they are presentable." I said as I walked past her and out the door.
"Where are you going?" Alice asked her frown deepening.
"To get some clothes and see if I can find anything useful." I said and flew into the sky. I flew towards K&K mall as I remembered there was a clothing store on the first floor as well as a variety of other stores. I managed to reach the store after flying for a few seconds and as expected there weren't any undeads inside. I walked into the store and everything looked the same as when I left weeks ago. I went into the clothing store and there was an absence of blood stains which I took as a good sign. After looking around the store for a bit, I decided to take sweat pants which although lacked durability, they were flexible and comfortable. I also grabbed a few shirts as well.
"Oh right, Alice mentioned a tattoo on my chest. I should check that out." I said just as I was a out to leave the door. I entered one of the dressing rooms and looked into the mirror and there on my right pec was a red tattoo. The tattoo was rather large almost covering the entirety of my right peck. It looked like a Demon with huge horns and a scary face sitting in a meditative pose. The demon had no shirt on displaying a muscular upper body and it had what looked like rags covering it's lower half. Behind the Demon, there was also a red magic circle with all kinds of archaic symbols in it.
"Well, that's not ominous at all." I remarked but soon turned my attention away from it. I decided to pack up my clothes and explore the rest of the mall for anything useful.
******************************************
"You're finally back." Alice said with an exhausted expression.
"Yeah, and I come bearing gifts." I said, showing her the multitude of shopping bags in my hand. After scouting the entire mall, I had found a few things that might be useful such as towels, sheets, pots, eating utensils and plates and cups. I wasn't going to eat out of plates that have been suffused in a rotten stench for who knows how long. I entered the house and my nose was instantly assaulted by bleach and other cleaning detergents, it looked like Alice really did clean the house.
"No food." She asked
"No, most of the food in the store was either spoiled or destroyed by undeads. We'll have to hunt demonic beasts for food." I replied and Alice nodded her head in understanding then continued rummaging through the bags.
"So then, why don't you tell me about your Demon family?" Alice suddenly asked
