I spent a total of 400 years inside Arsenia, guiding different fields of science to establish a decent level of living, so that people would naturally become inventive. I began to give out the Genius skill to people throughout the world. With this nudge, there was an industrial revolution, and with that came another wave of war for resources.
Then came the penalty for buying my specialization.
Plague. Further spread with the rotting corpses of war. Flowing blood and closely packed bodies were a catalyst for a new plague. Because of my attempts to increase the quality of life, the plague ended up becoming contained, while the war naturally came to an end. The plague ended within five years, and during the time the level of technology for health science leaped by decades.
I introduced new medical tools and the understanding of pathogens. There naturally developed virology and more. I watched as it all snowballed. It went from simple suggestions to advanced technologies. There was even the advancement of knowledge, and the increased importance placed upon education. I saw school be erected.
At first it was classist, but as I gave opportunities to lower classed students, the prejudice slowly collapsed. I even influenced the world into creating special Hero academies, which led to a bunch of funny situations involving plots similar to some novels I had read about online. It was also interesting that I saw a teenager create golems for the first time.
Now that golems were created, I now had the blue prints for the next stage: androids. I wanted to create them on Earth, so I finished my meddling for the night and went back to Earth.
When I arrived I had access to a whole new set of technology. I opened my laptop, and began typing the code for an AI. It only took me a few hours, and by the time I was done I had an AI that was able to move through different devices. I had the AI close a deal on a large cabin in Washington, and begin to invest in stocks for me.
It then began day trading for me, while I focused on other things. I then ordered a late night pizza, and waited while looking at the chat again. I asked them about their specialties, and discovered that every God was different. They were all individuals, and I was reminded that I forgot to try creating Minor Gods in my world.
I chatted until my pizza arrived, and after it did I scarfed down the entire pizza by myself. I didn't realize it before, but I don't think I needed to eat anymore. Which was confusing, but I knew it had to do with my new body. I still wanted to eat though, as it made me feel normal and I enjoyed food still. I also noticed I didn't feel as tired as I should, but I still decided to go to sleep. Just to maintain my human habits.
I went to sleep, and woke up after a whole ten hours of sleeping. I still enjoyed my time sleeping, even though it had no benefit to me.
After waking up I got into the shower and changed into the clothes from yesterday. I should have bought more clothes... However I decided to go out again, buy more clothes, and enjoy another museum. This time, after buying clothes, I visited a train museum. I walked through while watching the expansive history of steam engines, and the long history of trains in America.
There was so much history that I ended up spending more than four hours looking at trains, and after I was done I left to eat lunch. I took a cab to Chinatown, and ate at a higher end restaurant there. I enjoyed my lunch slowly, and really savored the food. The different spices had been mixed together splendidly, which made me appreciate the expression of creativity to reach even food.
I spent a good amount of time enjoying all the food, and even some time on my phone. After coding the AI, it was able to attach to the new phone I had, allowing me to use it as a normal phone as well. My AI had set up, and logged into my bank account already. I was currently looking at it, and noticed the AI had made me over $125,000 in day trades.
With this AI, I didn't have to worry about money anymore. I began ordering the parts that I needed for an android. I set them to deliver to the cabin I just bought. I got off my phone, and paid my bill. I then left the restaurant and headed home. I planned to write a code for an AI to focus solely on learning, and then have it communicate to the other AI, letting it trade more effectively.
When I got home I sent a simple text to Ryan to let him know this was my number now. He replied animatedly, much like the kid he was, but I ignored it. I simply told him of the flights being tomorrow, and that they should be ready in the morning. I ordered them food for the night, as they were mostly packed up, and then went into Arsenia.
****
After going into Arsenia, I spent some more time readjusting the religion in my world, as I had lost some Faith when people began to believe in science more. I didn't blame them, but I had to correct all these things to make it work for me. I began to design different Gods now, but I was able to have my AI assist me in their designs. As my AI was merged with my phone, it was able to directly influence the app, and help me completely manage everything.
Once I had the God's designed, I simply willed them into existence, and let them create their own circles of belief. I became an old and forgotten God, but now the different Minor Gods would pay tribute to me, the God above them. It was then that I felt that my role as a God was now much easier. With these Gods helping me manage things, I was able to sit back and begin to create another world.
With the app, and my AI, I began to create entire galaxies. I sat and watched the effect of having Gods present from the beginning, and how it would be to have them come in later. Arsenia was only the beginning.
Andromeda, Calypso, Turning, Gazette, and more. I gave different worlds new materials, to see how they would handle them. I created civilizations of AIs, or Lizard people. I even had demons in some worlds. I began to have different worlds with the same Minor Gods that I created before, which allowed them to gain more influence, allowing for me to get more Faith.
I then bought an item in the shop that created a dimension for my Minor Gods to exist. I designed it as a giant palace, based on the castles one would find in feudal Japan, with a garden all the way around. I could feel the presence of the Gods I created rushing towards the new palace, so I simply waited for them to arrive.
After they arrived I had no less than 50 Gods standing before me. They were all looking at me with reverie, as even for Gods I was incredibly attractive.
"Greetings, my fellow Gods. I am Michelangelo, and I am in charge of this dimension. I created this space for us to have a place to relax, and let ourselves indulge. Feel free to create within this space, and if you create something you would like to implement into the worlds, run it by the AI installed into this Android. If you need anything, you can also contact me through this, but remember I am busy dealing with things in a higher plane. That is all."
I then left, and watched the Gods interacting with the palace I created. The palace had everything the Gods could ever want, and they also had the ability to create things there. Each room was as big as a palace on the inside, allowing for each God to customize it however they wanted, and to oversee their different believers.
I had created these Minor Gods to add substance to the different worlds, and to get more Faith for myself. They didn't exist to design worlds. I saw many of them were a little bored, so I gave them a role in the System, so they could make things more interesting. This would also lead to members of the various worlds to strive for the strength equal to Gods, which would create more Gods, although through this method much fewer would reach the level of Godhood through the System.
However it was now possible. I thought it would be an interesting way to mix things up. I ended up staying in the universe of Linder for over 10,000 years, simply making sure the foundation was set well for the changes I had made. During this time I watched a few of the Gods I had created, were killed by mortals who reach the same level of strength as the Gods who looked down on them. Of course I was currently untouchable, but I wasn't complacent. I wanted more strength, because if they found a way to touch me, I would die.
I didn't really have much more strength than a super human. However I knew how I could close that gap.
With my special technique: 2nd Amendment Jitsu. I was a God of Technology, I should use that to my advantage. I had saved up enough to purchase a personal subspace, allowing me to bring things from this world to the real world. When I bought it however it caused an invasion from an evil God, who ravaged planets and attempted to take over the galaxy Arsenia was in, however they were able to fight back against them with relative ease.
The population of Arsenia fell, but they became stronger because of the conflict. The races no longer separated, instead they merged together in large cities, and pooled their resources. There was another technological boom where technology and science advanced rapidly. They began to research ways to fly through the air, then going higher and higher. When they discovered the gravitational pull, they began to test how much propulsion they would need to break out of Earth's gravitational pull, and they kept pushing the limits.
Eventually I saw them finally leave the atmosphere, and make it into space. I them sent the idea of exploring planets to ambitious and passionate youths throughout the world. They continued to push the agenda of space exploration, and giant telescope were invented. They began to peer further and further, while not neglecting magical sciences. The combination of advancements allowed them to discover the other worlds with sentient species, and attempt to contact them.
Arsenia was the most developed world, and was closing in on the realms of galactic empires. I then tinkered with a radical idea that I hadn't done before:
I created villains. People who hurt others for their greater goals, or even for the pure enjoyment of them. Having been a Human myself, not too long ago, it was weird to suddenly be okay with directly causing death.
However in my mind I was simply doing what was best for the advancement of my world. Sometimes, the contributions a villain can make to society can be monumental.
So I created someone who began to kidnap, and dabble in biochemical enhancements. He was using chemical compounds to increase the physical limits of the races. He had different concoctions for the different races. He discovered compounds that could make mana run rampant for a short period of time, making the user surpass their limits momentarily, at the cost of their health and sanity.
He went on to discover something I never accounted for: dark mana. An energy that was similar to normal mana, however it was incredibly destructive on the user's body. It created a chain reaction, where dark mana began to appear throughout the world sporadically. Then, funnily enough, evolution took its course. People began to appear who had the ability to resist the negative effects of dark mana, but they were unable to use normal mana at all.
This led to more and more waves of people studying it. The mad scientist I created was caught, and executed, however he was not the last. More and more villains appeared, and eventually Arsenia was dealing with a league of villains. I felt that the world was taking too long to advance in space travel, so I created a gate underground and other relics. I sent visions to people to begin to dig out the area, to build a temple, however they ended up discovering the gate I had placed.
This gave the whole world the fear that they were not the most advanced race out there. They studied the gate for decades, before finally figuring out how to power it, and one day with a low hum...
They opened the gate to a new world. The gate was connected to a mostly primitive planet, where there were creatures I was just testing. The first group to go into the gate were able to launch a signal that let the people on Arsenia pinpoint their location in the universe.
3,300 light years away. An outrageous distance, unfathomable to cross with the current technology, but it was possible. They began to study gates further, learning how the energy worked, and other capabilities. I wanted to continue watching, but I remembered I had a flight tomorrow. I also had to consolidate my strength in both worlds.
I then took many resources, that I created, and placed them within my subspace. I then went back to Earth, and looked at the time. My taxi would soon come to take me to the airport, so I didn't have time to do anything. I didn't plan to pack, so I just showered and got dressed. I then got into the cab when it arrived, and went to pick up Ryan and his mom.
I rode in silence as Misty chatted with the taxi driver. Ryan was equally quiet, until I handed him a smart watch I had designed. It ran on a mana stone, which would last for several years before dying out. I also added an AI into it, to help him manage his schedule and do other tasks for him.
After I explained it to him, his eyes lit up and he inspected it closely. It had my signature on the back of it, which he admired as well.
"You made this? This is at least a decade or more advanced than the current smart phones. It might even be stronger than computers..."
I was glad to see Ryan enjoyed the gift. I then began to think of things I could create to help him with his art, and I came up with a design for a paintbrush that was a magical artifact. It would be able to produce the most vibrant colors while matching the texture of the canvas perfectly so there was no globs of paint on the surface from excess paint.
It was a creation I had wanted to gift to my universe, so I could enjoy the art they would create, as for now they were solely stuck on stonework. Painting was not a thing yet, but perhaps it was time to have an art renaissance.
We eventually arrived at the airport and boarded our plane. We rode first class, which Ryan and Misty found amazing. I simply looked out the window as I saw Washington approach.
