Michelangelo Sun, an awkward 18 year old high school drop out, suddenly has his phone explode on him one day. Having just lost his job, and now not having the money to get a new phone, he feels down until he comes across a phone on the ground. The box fell off the back of a truck, but he figured that no one would notice if he took it.

After taking the phone home, and turning it on, he notices there is a weird app installed on it. Opening the app, which didn't have a name, he is greeted with a screen like in a game.

He then finds out that he is now responsible for this entire universe, and that the benefits of doing well can carry over into his own world.
