Santa, the headmaster, left the stage and graciously left the platform to the trainers sitting on a row of chairs. "Erhem." A man with tanned complexion and black panther ears stood up and approached the podium. His flowy dark robes were loosely tied using his black rosette tail. His dark green eyes scanned the room, waiting for the trainees to quiet down. After silence settled in the hall, he spoke in a deep husky voice, "I'm the discipline master Cloud and will be training cultivation. That's all."
As he turned to go back to his seat, the crowds attention were shifted to the blackish brown rabbit furry hiding behind him. Her golden eyes looked around nervously across the stage. Noticing that something was amiss, Cloud habitually reached for his back. He grabbed her by the nape of her neck and continued, "This is your weapon master, Bodicea. She will be in charge of physical defence and attack class." Bodicea struggled to pry his fingers open. Without her weapons, she felt completely defenceless. But her strength was only second to Cloud in the whole academy. The discipline master calmly dragged her away with him. Cori use [Observation] on them and discovered that Cloud was a beast-kin and Bodicea was a furry.
A lean youthful man in white linen shirt and harem pants adorned in fine jewelleries and precious gems took over the stage. He announced his introduction in a thearitical manner, "And I am Kareem the Wizard, who will be in charge of anything related to magic. Except for fae magic. You can ask me anything about dragon magic, since I am a dragon. Although, it will be very difficult to learn." His blue eyes gleamed with wisdom. He smiled cheekily and tossed his white platinum hair in a fashionable laidback manner and casually introduced the high elf beside him, "And this is Lady Ivy." "Hi dear, I am Ivy the alchemist. I will be teaching you potions. Just be careful not to ingest any fumes like my bed-ridden husband. Haha. Just joking, he needed to rest so he had some sleeping potion. You may call me Lady Ivy." she smiled. "Woo I wouldn't want to offend her." Cori noted. Using his skill again, he noticed that Kareem was actually a dragon and the high elf was a princess. He wondered if that was the reason Queen Slime visited.
"And I'm Marvyn the high fae." said the androgynous fairy standing at 6 foot tall wearing a pure white gown. His long silver hair caressed his fair pink skin, his piscean eyes was in the lightest blue. The priest exuded a holy aura. "I will be in the temple where we conduct holy, and sacrilegious classes. You can look forward to my class." Marvyn winked and smiled at the juniors. Ryan whispered to himself with a sigh, "Looks like we have to increase his fanbase again this year." "Fan club? Why am I not surprised." Cori thought to himself, observing Ryan going through a plethora of emotions. As the priest had introduced her race, Cori did not use his skills this time. He was still new to this world and there were still a lot of matters that was new to him.
Next Aspery the dwarf introduced himself as being at the forefront of weapon making and engineering. And no one would be as knowledgable as him in this subject in the four corners of the world. The dwarf started lecture the minute he went on stage and expected the trainees to note them down. Luckily the beast master, Hannah the ogre, stopped him before it turn into an hour long class. A sigh of relief could be heard through out the hall before drowning in a 5 second groan when Aspery announced he would be testing everyone while being dragged away by Hannah.
"Hi everyone, my name is Hannah Montgomery. You may call me Miss Hannah or Miss Montgomery." said the 5 foot tall ogre with honey brown eyes. The greenish tanned ogre give off a confident healthy glow. She wore a dirty apron over casual shirt and brown pants. Everyone seemed to like her immediately. She did have a positive vibe and energy but Cori felt something was off. He used his skills on her and realised she had a passive skill call [Charm]. "I love all animals. So I was surprised to see a giant stork passed out in front of our campus. Luckily, he was not injured too badly and is recuperating under my care. Most importantly, the baby slimes were able escape in time." she looked at Cori and smiled reassuringly. Cori felt a cold down his back and a slight bit of killing intent. Hannah pointed in his direction and shouted, "Come!" A huge brown griffon swerved from the back of the crowds and landed on the stage. She looked at Kareem and back at the trainees, "You will be learning taming from me and there is no animals I can't tamed."
Cloud took over the stage again, "We will begin our aptitude test. Slowly enjoy your meal." The whole hall fell silent, confused. Should they eat or should they not eat? Was he being sarcastic or was he pressuring everyone to finish their meal. Regardless, some started to devour the food and the rest followed. After all, their journey had been perilous and long.
Cori wanted to ask Ryan about the test but he was already gone. So he turned to Pujja who was eating her food demurely and asked, "Do you have any idea what the test is about?" Pujja blinked her doe like eyes, put down her food and said, "I think we will just be sorted to different classes." Cori immediately thought of the movie about the boy who lived with his aunt's family and eventually went to a wizarding school.
