The great Tomb Of Nazarick was huge. a total of 10 floors, all of them huge. from the surface to the 10th floor. it was miles apart. there were many things within that the guild member managed to fit in, among them being their private room.
currently, Dracula was in his room, holding a blood-red potion which was considered the highest-grade healing potion. of course, being undead, he was unable to use such items, it would instead cause damage to him.
Dracula went on to take out items from his storage space, he needed to remember all of his items and their use. it has been too long,
'if my sword of time was working, I could have its speed up time on the jar of greed. I could put the extra blood from the phoenix into the box of endlessness. no, we need money. I should put all of the phoenix blood into safe storage while putting gold coins into the Jar of Greed. this way we can have our wealth increase even if we do nothing.' Rubbing my goatee, I looked at the stuff before me.
Resources, we needed resources. The Jar of Greed was overpowered, but it too had item limits, if an item can't fit inside, then the value of such a thing couldn't increase. also, it would stop trying to increase the value of things if the jar would overflow. for example, a stick might be able to fit inside, but the amount of sticks might not increase if it would mean the stick would stick out.
A knock suddenly came from outside my door, snapping me out of my thoughts. I looked towards the door and spoke.
"Come in Shalltear," I said calmly, and with that, Shalltear slowly came inside with her head cast down. I looked at her for a moment, before speaking.
"I have spoken with Ainz, and we both agree to give you a punishment. Shalltear, your punishment is to be my guard. you shall suffer, you shall walk among the humans and treat them as your weak." I said with a smile, leaving Shalltear stunned for a moment before she began to cry.
"... I fully accept my punishment... but is it not risky since my appearance is known?" She asked to which I nodded slightly, before throwing a mask towards her.
"wear that mask and picture a human form. it would reshape you into that form... I should give that to Ainz. although there is a risk someone might see through it. first thing first, you would become an adventurer. I want you to use this as a time to control yourself, and not fly into a blood fazzy so easily. You also need to learn to control yourself. it's been 15 days now, and I have yet to drink blood. we, vampires, don't need to drink blood, it's just something we enjoy. am I right?" I said calmly, to which Shalltear nodded slightly.
"So, until I feel like you have outdone yourself, no blood, no vampire concubines, and you need to learn to live amongst the lowly humans as my partner as we become adventures," I said calmly, confusing Shalltear, she was sure I said guard a moment ago
"... I understand," Shalltear said with a serious look, it would be hard, but she accepted her punishment. With a node, I had her put the mask on before she went through a bunch of forms. in the end, she took on a more grown-up version of herself, with a bigger chest, black hair, and black eyes.
"..." Shalltear looked at her chest with stars in her eyes, they were fake, but she no longer had to stuff her chest. She looked towards Dracula, only to see him standing and found countless items. her eyes widened as she had never seen so many divine grade items, legendary grades, and so on. there were too many, making Dracula's room a complete mess
"Too much right? back then, we collected everything we could get our hands on. you ever know even someone might be useful," I said calmly while looking at the mess. there were many small hills, so I planned to start with the Divine grade items first.
there were many hidden things in the game, the game developers wanted everyone to go out and find them out for themselves, so it was a complete unknown. One might use a horn that summons weak dragons, but if they met the right condition, they might end up summoning an army of dragons, of all types. on might have a simple sword, that would suddenly be revealed to be a powerful sword which was asleep, and the list went on.
So, I had everything I had ever collected from the game. of course, the storage function of the game had its limit, so I had farmed to get Santa Claus Storage Bag, a storage back that could store an endless amount of stuff
"Odin Spear, Thor Hammer. Teeth of the World Serpent, Zeus Lightning Boil, Loki Staff, Necklace Of Heimdall. Primoirdal Dragon Eye, Apollo Bow..." Shalltear with a blink look went on to slowly say the names of all of the divine grade items before her,
'forgot I had them.' I thought calmly, my eyes mostly on the necklace of Heimdil. I nodded slightly, remembering why that was not in Santa Claus's storage bag. it was a part of my main gear when I got serious,
"where are they," I said looking for my main gear, 8 rings, 1 necklace, and a crown. looking around, I quickly found them.
"I was at a world campaign 3 times, and the reward for such an item is something which highly suits you. Touch Me Got his shield and armor. meanwhile, one of the things I got was this." I said calmly while showing Shalltear a crown. it was a blood-red crown, it wasn't too big, just a ring for the head. it also came with a ring.
It was The Crown Of the Vampire Lord. getting this greatly boosts all of my Vampire abilities, on top of my stats. but overall, it greatly increased my overall resistance, which was its main goal.
"This ring is special. you know how there is a limit to how many times you can use something, for example, Ainz, Death Of All Things can only be used once every 100 hours." I asked to which Shlltear nodded slightly,
"This allows allowing you to ignore such a thing twice a day. in other words., Ainz could use The Goal OF All Life Is Death 3 times in one day. now that would be overpowered." I said with a smile, leaving Shalltear frozen in shock while looking at the thing in my hands. indeed, in Ainz's hands, that ring was overpowered.
Imagine, Ainz cast the spell, Graps Heart. which causes instant death by crushing someone's heart. you can't even block it thanks to The Goal Of All Life Is Death, which bypasses all things. it means you would surely die.
You come back to life? Sure, Ainz would just cast it two more times. how many times can you come back from sure death? it was a sure killway. of course, Ainz needs a few seconds for the spell to take effect, within that time you can run, kill him, and so on.
"Well, let's go for now," I said while using the unique Vampire Lord skill, Vampire Call. it was split into 3 parts,
Lesser Vampire Call 24 per day: which allowed me to summon Lesser Vampires. it could be things like Lesser Vampire Beast, or something less. with their level being up to 35
Mid Vampire Call 12 per day: this allows me to summon stronger vampires, such as Orgine Vampires, Vampire Dragons, and so on. with their levels being up to 65
High Vampire Call 6 per day: this allows me to summon the strongest type of vampires, True Vampires. Their level is up to 70, but I could combine the chances, and summon up even stronger vampires. at the cost of all 6 tires per day, I could summon a level 95 true vampire vampire
"Summon... Lesser Vampire: Vampire Man" I said calmly, and magic circles appeared, and from them a group of men appeared, all kneeling before me.
"Summon... Mid Vampire: Vampire King." I said followed by 12 vampires who looked like a king being summoned. I ordered them to start organizing all of the treasures, using types and reality.
as they got to work, I left with Shalltear and went on to have Shalltear become an adventure with me. of course, I had her name be changed, to Luna. with that done and out of the way, I and Shalltear began taking on the mission, with of course Shalltear doing all of the work. of course, her strength was suppressed to level 30 or so.
"sucks, I like you nothing interesting happened for me. plus, Renner's friends have yet to come back, I have to wait for them." With a bored sigh, Ainz smiled hearing my words. but after a moment, he spoke about the reason for the small meeting.
"There is a lizard man tribe that was found, a total of 4 of them. I was planning on having Cocuytus be the one to lead an army to take over it. he could use this as a chance to grow and become someone capable of thinking... but you never lead an army." Ainz said softly, I went quiet for a moment, before shaking my head
"I can get the next one, leading an army isn't something I have an interest in. By the way, when you summon undead, do they disappear after a said amount of time?" I asked making Ainz frown slightly
"Yes, that's one of the reasons I wish to take over the lizard man tribe. if I could do my research on them, then we could greatly understand how magic works differently in this world... by the way, how is Shalltear?" Ainz asked, to which I went quiet for a moment.
"I want to get her to a point where she could use her passive skill, Blood Frenzy without entering a blood frenzy," I said softly, making Ainz's eyes widen slightly,
Blood Frenzy: The more blood Shalltear's body is covered in, the stronger she becomes, and her attack power soars. Because of that, she slowly loses control of her mind and becomes unable to hold back her urge to slaughter. Without those mental brakes, Shalltear will indiscriminately massacre any prey she sees. To prevent activating it, she needs to fight while avoiding getting hit with blood and sucking it up with a weapon or other equipment.
"How is it?" Ainz asked, it had only been 2 days since Dracula had been out and walking with Shalltear, he didn't expect much from this.
"She has mood swings. To her, blood is pretty much a drug. taking that away from her is something she can't handle. but the vampire doesn't need blood, the fact she is this bad shows she drinks when she wants, and whenever she wants. if she wasn't undead or something, she might be fat." I said making, Albedo who was standing respectfully at the side lips twitch, trying her best to keep in the laugh that almost slipped out.
"anyways, I first need to get her off that drug. after which, I will have her start bathing in blood little by little. never enough to push her into a blood frenzy, and enough to keep her in control." I said while looking at Albedo who had a still calm face as if nothing happened.
"You failed to make her into a Vampire Lord, but you're going to try and do this? not bad." Ainz said while rubbing his chin. He looked at me for some time, because of me, we had a spy working for us from the Re-Estize Kingdom, the princess herself.
"Also, I'm planning on seeing if I can learn magic and gain new classes. I also want to start testing and see if I can learn martial arts. at the same time, can I lower the time needed for skills and other stuff to be used? so I will start training." I asked calmly, stunning Albedo, she already thought I was strong enough. she didn't think I would aim for greater strength.
Martial Arts and talents were new concepts to Dracula and Ainz. they were things that appeared in this world. Martial Arts were like techniques, while talents were unique abilities people are born with.
I pained to have Brain be captured and be turned into a Vampire Knight, he shall be my teacher. as for talent, we had already got her body Ninya. I had brought her back to life and she was currently training. With her ability which made her a super talent when learning magic, she might prove herself useful one day.
She had a sister she had been searching for, I simply told her the truth. I was using her for my search, in return she would grow stronger and be able to find this sister of hers. adding the trauma of being tortured to defeat, she indeed felt weak. and with some mind control, she was training.
"I see..." Ainz thought for a moment, that the way for people of this world to gain classes was unique. for example, to gain the cook job class, they needed to start cocking and learning. after trying many times, they might be lucky to gain it. and from there, they have to keep cooking to level it up.
"Well, I should get going. it's about time I see my daughter." I said calmly leaving, Ainz just nodded and said nothing else. Dracula created her, he deals with her. plus, she only wanted Dracula's head, not his.
Dracula went off, heading to the 8th floor. there, he appeared within a region filled with Automaton. they were all pretty much robots, which swamped randomly around this area. the ground also had this automaton aura to it. it was like the flesh of a robot, all silver-like. there were tears, but of course, they too were automatons, down to the flies, bees, and even grass. everything here was automaton type.
upon my appearance, all of them moved, forming a role leading up the mountain ahead. from what he could see, there was a building on top of the mountain. music began playing, music which hinted at an incoming battle to the death. I calmly walked up, walking through this role. I ignored Ainz who had secretly appeared far away, with Albedo and a few others to see the showdown about to happen
"So the time has come Father, the day where I kill you and take the title as the strongest." a woman sat upon an automaton-looking throne. at the peak of this mountain, it was in the center, of a small ring. from the chair she sat on, moment arms were moving, changing her parts and adding new ones.
Rubedo is a pretty young girl with long black hair that reaches down to her knees and red eyes. She had on silver armor, and on her face was a cold expression. but if one could read her, they would know she was happy. Happy at the fact she could see her father once more, but what was a better way to show her love for him than to kill him?
Standing up, the chair she sat on began shrinking into the ground. there was a build here moments ago. but it had disappeared like a chair. she reached out, taking two swords out of her storage.
A perfect Sparing partner. this is what I created Rubedo to me. She was of the automaton race, seeking to be like her father one day, she collects information and use that information to evolve. She was ever-adapting and always improved upon herself.
she was the strongest because I used the World Campain reward to create her, the amount of stuff that went into creating her was crazy. but here you had someone who could grow endlessly and even had the unique ability called Perfect Copy.
A unique skill that allows her to copy almost everything. if she scans and records it, she could copy it. of course, there were some limitations, she could copy someone like Ainz, The Goal Of All Life Is Death. That was a special Job Class,
But she can get around this if she can install parts that could allow her to gain the special Job class.
"I came here to try and see you, after being banished, I just want to speak," I said with a bitter smile, to which Rubedo froze for a moment. after a moment, she took out a tissue and began to remove the tears from her eyes.
'well, that was a bad choice of words.' I thought while quickly taking out my sword, just in time to block the swords that aimed to cut me down.
"I planned everything out, I will win Father. I will make you proud." She said while my pupils shrank. a kick slammed my heart into my chest, sending me rocketing back. but Rubedo didn't shoot after me, instead, she turned, her sword aiming for the air to her right. there Dracula appeared, blocking her sword.
"Duel Sword Style, World Break." She cried out emotionless, my face went blank for a moment.
"Perfect Counter," I said quickly. the two swords with the power to cut the world itself were suddenly countered by my sword, Rubedo's eyes widened as her attack was sent back toward me.
Perfect Counter was a skill I rarely used in the game. I got it off my World Duelsword master after I maxed it out to level 5, it gave me a few unique skills. Perfect Counter was one of them, it allowed me to perfect counter just about most attacks, but if the attacks couldn't be countered, then it was proven useless.. it could only be used 2 times a day.
Rubedo quickly tried her best to avoid the attack, but her hands were both smoothly cut. She tried to recall rearms and reacted to them, but the connection to those arms was cut as well. world break was an attack that could break the world, even water would be cut.
"Caster form," Rubedo roared the ground turned into a liquid, which swallowed her, and then it disappeared, Rubedo was a caster gear. She roared, as a huge clock appeared behind her, a scene which caused Ainz to let out a lock of shock. was this not his Goal Of All Life Is Death?
"I see... the data you have collected has reset. although the magic you have copied remains. so you currently just throwing out powerful attacks." I said with a nod of my head.
"Grasp Heart," Rubedo said while holding her palm out towards me, she felt as if a heart had appeared in her hand, and crushed that heart exploded. now, in 12 seconds Dracula was sure to die.
"Now, I got a few seconds to defeat you, or else I die," I said before disappearing, in a flash, I appeared above her my leg shooting down. only to go through an afterimage, the second I landed, I disappeared once more, appearing where she was.
Ainz and the others struggled to keep up with their speed, it was too quick, what shocked them even more was the realization this was Dracula's full speed. he wasn't even wearing good gear,
Boon
Rubedo slammed heavily to the ground, shaking the whole mountain. with a second left, the clock behind her stopped working as I had damaged the part she needed to use Ainz's skill.
"I accept my defeat," She said awaiting me to end her, which left me unable to act for a moment. if I didn't, she would see it as me showing her I don't love her. but I didn't want to kill her.
"I'm weak... I didn't come to kill you. I came to see if I could spend time with you. it has been so long. I didn't come all this way just to kill you. I want to spend the day with you." I said softly, leaving Rubedo stunned.
"But, a battle to defeat is where two parties truly understand each other. to not kill me, are you say...." Rubedo began to cry, unable to even finish her words.
"Rubedo, do you want to know more about this world we are in?" I asked while sitting in front of her. With tears in her eyes, she nodded slightly.
"then, why would I kill my daughter before I give her the chance to be the best version of herself? how could I kill you when something out there might one day make you smile? I love you too much to take such opportunities away from you... for that, I'm weak. You're my world. I worked so hard to create you. I'm selfish for wanting to you go out there and grow. hate me or not, just now I will always love you, and be proud of the person you all." I said softly while removing her tears
"N-no. Your love holds no limits." She said while me a tight hug, which caught me off guard. after a moment, I hugged her back while patting her back. Rubedo's backstory wasn't so hard.
created by the strongest, she aimed to reach his height. but after fighting many battles, she came to the understanding that killing her father was the ultimate form of love and respect. If she were to do such a thing, then she could gain her father's approval. This led to her becoming an automaton, to break the limits of living and undead.
if she were to ever see her father, a father to the death shall begin. but this was only limited to her father as she loved and respected the other guild members of Ainz Ooal Gown, just like her father.
