~

Narration: Sylvia wakes up feeling sore. She looks around and tries to remember what had unfolded the previous day. She stands up from her bed and realizes that she has the same cloth on as the day before. Looking herself in the mirror, she brushed her hair down with her hand as the event of yesterday played in her mind

Sylvia: Shit, so much for having a quiet celebration.

Narration: She looks at the time and shuddered. Even though she was going shopping with Marcus, waking up few minutes before noon is considered late. She rushed into the bathroom slamming the door behind her.

Narration: Sylvia walks down the stairs into the living room and sees her entire family except Ethan.

Sylvia: Hey guys, good afternoon.

Dad: Finally, you are awake. You actually got us all worried.

Sylvia: Sorry but I can't stay. I have to get going.

Gramps: Run along kid and come home to us for dinner.

Sylvia: Thanks Gramps, love you guys.

Gran: Love you too.

Narration: Sylvia walks out of the house and sees a black jeep parked in front of the house. She immediately walks up to the car and knocks at the window. The window rolls down and she sees a man putting on dark shades.

Sylvia: Excuse me but this is a no parking zone.

Driver: Sorry, just following orders.

Narration: The driver points to the back and the back windows rolls down. Sylvia takes a peek and sees Marcus.

Sylvia: Marcus?

Marcus: Get in the car, and don't say no.

Narration: Sylvia sighed as Marcus opens the door for her. She climbs in and shut the door behind her.

Sylvia: What are you doing here? and how did you know my house?

Marcus: Well, your address was written on your application form in the company and for a lady who has a job, you really don't seem to care that you didn't show up to work about three and half hours after it starts.

Sylvia: I am sorry, had a hard time with my brother and went to bed exhausted and hungry.

Marcus: Well, what do you say I treat you to breakfast or rather Brunch?

Sylvia: Well, I would love to but I've got no cash on me.

Marcus: I said I was treating you to it. Don't bother trying to wriggle out of it either.

Marcus: Drive to the nearest restaurant.

Narration: The driver nodded and starts the car then he drives off.

Sylvia: So does that mean that I am indebted to you as Matt was?

Marcus: As a matter of fact, no. I save Matt from dying. Yours is just treating you to breakfast. There is a difference. Now, about that brother of yours, I could see yesterday that he doesn't like me.

Sylvia: Yeah, he doesn't. he has a crazy notion that I had seduced you to give me the post of your personal assistant and the perks of taking that post is to pleasure you intimately.

Marcus: Wow, that is a pretty good imagination. But I actually think it was true though.

Sylvia: You are sick in the head. I am really serious right now. He actually thinks that we were making out at the bar yesterday.

Marcus: Wait, he thinks that we were on a date?

Sylvia: Date or not, he thinks so. He actually referred to me as a whore who throws herself at men for prestigious position.

Marcus: Okay, that brother of yours is being paranoid. Impossible to believe that a man would actually call his own sister a whore.

Sylvia: Exactly what I had said. You remember that idea of you wanting to meet my parents, does it stand?

Marcus: You want me to meet them?

Sylvia: I would not say that I want you to meet them but as for now, I will need you to help me prove a point. You would meet them formally this evening when we return and my Grandmother as a sweet soul she is will invite you in for dinner and I am pretty sure that Ethan will be there.

Marcus: So you are doing all of these just to make sure that your brother and I get along?

Sylvia: And why in heaven's name would I want you two to get along? I just want him to know that what exist between you and I is business only.

Driver: Sir, we are here.

Narration: Marcus and Sylvia alighted the car and entered the restaurant. Sylvia waves to a waiter who rushes over to their table.

Waiter: Good morning, may I have your order?

Sylvia: Bread and bacon with a beverage and a cup of cream latte to go. What about you Marcus, what are you having?

Marcus: A cup of coffee to go.

Narration: the waiter nods and walk away.

Sylvia: Wait a minute, you take me to breakfast and all you order is a cup of coffee? And isn't your Driver going to come in here?

Marcus: Well, I did have a full breakfast at home. And you might want to hurry, I don't like being kept waiting. As for my driver, I am pretty sure he had breakfast.

Sylvia: Sorry, but I don't like to rush my food.

Marcus: So am I.

Narration: The waiter brings back the food all packaged for takeout. Marcus hands him the bill and stands up.

Marcus: Let's go. You can have all the time to eat in the car.

Sylvia: You've got to be kidding me.

Marcus: I am sorry but I am not.

Narration: Marcus walks towards the door and Sylvia growls, grab the bag of food and rush after him. They get into the car and the driver starts moving.

Marcus: Please drive a little slowly. The lady would like to enjoy her meal.

Narration: Sylvia looks at Marcus with severe annoyance on her face but she opens the bag, reaches inside and brings out the cup of latte which she hands over to the driver.

Driver: Thank you, ma'am.

Sylvia: You are welcome and please it is Sylvia not ma'am.

Marcus: How generous of you, and he gets to call you Sylvia and I as your boss gets to add Miss to your name?

Sylvia: Yeah, that is pretty much the main idea. Now if you don't mind, I don't like to talk while I eat.

Narration: She pulls out a slice of bread and bacon and takes a bite while looking at Marcus who stared back at her with a smirk plastered on his face.
