The surface of the table was a rich green felt, adorned with neatly organized chip trays and a designated spot for the community cards.
When Lily took her seat, her eyes gliding over the other players around her. The dealer shuffled the deck with practiced ease, and Lily activated her domain, mind over body new innate ability.
And suddenly her mind could process the thoughts of the other players. And she could see through their eyes, meaning she saw the cards they were dealt, by the dealer.
Her first opponent was a man in a dark suit. As he picked up his cards, Lily saw through his eyes: a King of hearts and a Jack of hearts.
