Chapter 8 - Chapter 7 [Blessing]

"Blessing"

Jason and Seojun found themselves in a small, community hospital conveniently located near their home. It was a place that catered specifically to children, offering specialized care and support for young patients. The hospital had a cheerful atmosphere, with brightly colored walls adorned with drawings and paintings created by the children themselves.

Seojun, full of boundless energy, eagerly engaged in a game of tag with the sick children. Their laughter echoed through the corridors as they darted around, forgetting their ailments for a moment and simply enjoying the exhilaration of play. Jason stood back and watched, a smile tugging at the corners of his lips. Seeing his son so happy filled his heart with a sense of joy and gratitude. But amidst the laughter and smiles, Jason couldn't help but notice the children whose faces reflected a different reality. Their eyes held a glimmer of sadness, as if burdened by the weight of their illnesses.

As he observed the children, Jason couldn't help but imagine the suffering that Seojun had endured in the past. Memories of the laboratory where Seojun had been helplessly subjected to experiments flashed through his mind. It was a painful reminder of the trials his son had faced, and it made Jason's heart ache. He quickly pushed those thoughts aside, not wanting them to dampen the present moment. He focused on the here and now, on the sight of Seojun's vibrant energy and the laughter that filled the air.

A nurse approached Jason, her eyes filled with appreciation for his presence. "These past few days, the children have been truly happy," she said, her voice tinged with warmth. "Having someone to play with has brought them so much joy. Some of them don't have parents, and the connection they feel with you and Seojun is truly special."

Jason nodded, a mix of emotions swirling within him. "It seems we made the right decision to come here," he murmured, his voice filled with a quiet resolve.

Unbeknownst to Jason, his words caught the attention of a beautiful nurse who happened to overhear their conversation. Her eyes sparkled with a mischievous twinkle as she found herself captivated by Jason's charm and handsome appearance. Thoughts raced through her mind as she contemplated the possibilities. "He already has a child, but what if he's a single parent? Perhaps there's a chance for something more," she mused, her heart fluttering with anticipation.

Meanwhile, Seojun, sharp-eyed and perceptive, caught wind of the nurse's thoughts. A mischievous grin spread across his face. He was well aware of his father's undeniable handsomeness and the attention he garnered from those around him. Seojun couldn't help but find it amusing, feeling a sense of pride in his father's captivating presence.

Just as the nurse was lost in her thoughts, a graceful figure entered the hospital. All eyes turned towards her as she walked with an air of elegance, her every step exuding grace and poise. Her presence commanded attention, and the atmosphere seemed to shift as if acknowledging her arrival. It was Lee Min Ye, Seojun's mother, a woman of extraordinary beauty and inner strength. Her aura was different from Jason's, radiating a sense of otherworldly majesty.

Lee Min Ye's gaze fell upon Seojun, who was happily playing with the other children. However, she sensed a subtle hesitation in his demeanor, as if he didn't want to see her at that moment. Curiosity piqued, she approached him with a gentle smile and lifted him into her arms, concern evident in her eyes.

"What happened, Seojun? Did something occur?" she asked softly, her voice filled with motherly warmth.

Seojun glanced at his father, who seemed unusually frozen and rigid. "Nothing, Mother," he replied, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Father just seems stiff as a rock right now."

Jason snapped out of his daze, realizing his wife's presence. He quickly regained his composure, though a tinge of guilt lingered in his expression. "Dear, what caused you to freeze like that?" Lee Min Ye inquired, her finger gently lifting his chin to meet her gaze.

"It's nothing, honey... I swear," Jason responded, his voice betraying a hint of nervousness.

Lee Min Ye studied him intently, sensing that something was amiss. She shifted her gaze to Seojun, her gentle aura replaced with a flicker of intensity.

"Seojun," she called, her voice taking on a more serious tone.

"Yes, Mother?" Seojun replied, his curiosity piqued.

"Can you tell me what your father did while I was away?" Lee Min Ye asked, her gaze unwavering.

Seojun, true to his nature, spoke the truth, not one to hide the facts. "Father unintentionally charmed all the female nurses earlier. It wasn't his fault."

In reality, it was Seojun's doing. Unbeknownst to Jason, Seojun had unknowingly bestowed his parents with various blessings, inadvertently including a charm blessing. His innocent actions had unintentionally created an air of attraction around his father.

"Honey, it wasn't my fault! Something strange happened! I didn't do it," Jason protested, his voice tinged with genuine surprise and confusion.

Lee Min Ye looked at him suspiciously, her intuition telling her that something was amiss. She shifted her focus to Seojun, her expression softening as she sought the truth from her son.

Seojun, sensing his mother's silent inquiry, met her gaze and spoke honestly, "I didn't mean to do it, Mother. It just... happened."

Understanding dawned on Lee Min Ye's face as she realized what had occurred. She had witnessed Seojun's powers firsthand and knew that his blessings could manifest in unexpected ways. Though surprised, she couldn't help but find it endearing that Seojun had inadvertently blessed his father with a charm that attracted others.

"Seojun, go back and play with the kids for now. I need to have a little talk with your father," Lee Min Ye commanded gently, her eyes filled with a mix of curiosity and amusement.

"Yes, Mother," Seojun obeyed, returning to his play with the other children, his mischievous grin never leaving his face.

As Seojun watched his parents walk away, he couldn't help but feel a surge of pride. He had inadvertently blessed his father with an unexpected charm, and now it was time for him to explore the extent of his own powers.

With a mischievous glint in his eyes, Seojun closed his eyes and extended his mana, letting it flow like a radiant wave. His blue eyes glowed with a gentle light as he whispered,

"Blessing of the Believer," allowing his mana to spread and enter the bodies of those around him.

A child who had been bedridden for weeks suddenly felt a surge of energy coursing through their veins. They sat up, their eyes widening in disbelief. "Hmm? My body feels different," they exclaimed, a mix of surprise and wonder in their voice.

And then, one by one, the other children began to experience the same transformation. The child with a chronic illness felt their pain dissipate, replaced by a newfound sense of strength. Another child, confined to a wheelchair, stood up and took hesitant steps, their legs no longer burdened by weakness. The children looked at one another in awe, their faces alight with joy and disbelief.

"I... I'm healed!" one child shouted, tears of joy streaming down their face.

"Me too! I don't feel pain anymore!" another exclaimed, their voice filled with wonder.

"Look, I can stand again!" a child with a beaming smile declared, taking confident steps.

Excitement and disbelief filled the hospital as the news of the miraculous healings spread like wildfire. Doctors and nurses rushed to witness the extraordinary transformations occurring before their eyes. The children they had believed to have little hope were now running and playing, their ailments seemingly cured.

Seojun, feeling the strain on his young and still developing core, knew that he had expended a substantial amount of mana to bring about these healings. He understood that it wouldn't be easy to harness his powers fully in his current child form, but he had taken the first step towards discovering the extent of his abilities.

Lying down on the floor, Seojun closed his eyes, his small frame tingling with a mix of exhaustion and exhilaration. "This may not be easy, but I'll learn to control and master my powers. I will make a difference," he thought, determined to continue his journey of exploration and growth.

Unbeknownst to Seojun, his actions had not only brought healing to the children but had also ignited a spark of hope within the hearts of all who witnessed his miracles. The hospital became a place of renewed faith and belief, where the impossible seemed within reach.

As Seojun rested, he sensed the return of two familiar presences. A smile tugged at his lips as he stood up and dashed towards them, unaware that a wave of gratitude and admiration swept through the doctors and nurses. The children they had believed to have little chance of recovery were now standing before them, their faces beaming with newfound health and vitality.
