When the magic spell wore off and indis finally awoke from his slumber he was greeted by Covy dozing on his chair while drooling in his sleep while he was on the bed he felt his brain short circuit unsure of what to make of this situation he decided to wake up the culprit for interrogation "hey! Get up! You fucker! Shit! Get up already man!" But his words fell on deaf ear so he tried to get up and shake the sleeping panda.
But a weird chain clinking sound came from his hand he looked down and immediately his blood boiled in rage he was pissed beyond words he fucking cared less that he was in enemies territory surrounded by them as he picked up the nearby vase throwing it at the sleeping man call it mercy or kindness he didn't aim for the head after all he still needed to talk to him about his little brothers whereabouts.
The vase hit the unguarded Covy who was sleeping like pig making him cry out in pain before he could understand what was happening many series of vulgar curses fell on him like a rain of Arrow he was pissed first he had to sleep uncomfortably on a chair while he kindly have his bed to the unconscious elf but what does he get in return!? A fucking sneak attack! He should have just tied that chicken to the chair for the whole night!
He got up dusting the shreads of glass off his wounds as he walked towards the elf pinning him down in one Swift motion just then before he could give his piece of mind to the little naughty elf the door was flung open revealing his lord and their packs Luna. Indis eyes lit up "Astrid!" But Astrid looked at him with a weird gaze.
That's when indis noticed the kind of suggestive position they were in his ears turned red showing how flustered he was as he frantically kicked "GET OFF ME!" Covy released the struggling chick standing to the side "gosh! Is something wrong with your fucking brain!? Why did you attack a sleeping person like that!?"
Indis felt like he was going to die from angre early in the morning "YOU! WHY THE HELL DID YOU CHAIN ME UP!"
"to prevent you from killing me in my sleep duh!?"
"You shit head! Release me now!"
"Hehe..no you look better like that lol!"
Astrid and Jinx were a bit surprised whether these two were getting along or not if you count fighting as an important part of getting along in a relationship then yes they are. Astrid sighed as he walked up to indis checking for injuries making sure everything is fine the species like elf and beast have such body which can heal fatal wounds on it's own quickly unlike humans and since indis wasn't hurt that bad from the start he seemed ok .
On the other hand he looked at the still bleeding wound on the wolf boy's shoulder who was licking it the glass might have left a deep wounds other wise his wolf body would have healed it quickly. Astrid was thinking weather to use his healing magic or not but seeing how much the blood has stained his clothes he sighed standing in front of the wolf boy as he extended his hands.
Covy curiously looked at the extended hand towards his wounds as a green symbol appeared on Astrid's forehead a warm glowing green energy flowing out of his fingers entering his wounds and just like that his skin was healed with no scar left behind smooth and healthy like before.
Indis watched this with weird expression as if not knowing what to make of this whole scenario Astrid just told him why they were brought here and all he understood that these wolf meant no harm to them but he certainly did harm one he felt a little tiny bit guilty about throwing that glass vase in the moment of angre but he was still pissed about the chains around his hands.
Although it's true he might have wanted to kill this jerk if was tied but it's not like he would agree to something like that from his own mouth ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. With that Covy give out a bright smile kneeling in front of Astrid thanking him for the help calling him Luna making Astrid feel loss at what to say he was still not ready for anything like that yet ok (╯ರ ~ ರ)╯︵ ┻━┻ I am damn too young for that shit!
Astrid ignored his blabber asking for indis to be released Covy was a little reculant after all this fierce cat has just nailed a glass vase while being chained as to what will be thrown at him next he couldn't guarantee but he released indis after asking permission from Jinx although he was loyal to their Luna but still his 1st loyalty belongs to his master.
After getting released surprisingly indis didn't throw anything else at him brought chairs for Jinx and Astrid to sit and talk while he kept standing not wanting to piss the kitten on bed he Delbertely didn't sit on the bed but still a ferocious look was sent his way making of confuse on how he offended this elf without doing anything.
Indis was already feeling guilty for attacking someone who was unconscious which was a big taboo for warriors to attack someone who couldn't defend themselves and now this mother fucker was acting as if he has a plague which will spread even if he sat beside him "sit " he said in a stern low voice.
For a second Covy thought he was hallucinating making him unconsciously ask "huh?" Indis was annoyed not giving out any response only patting the space near him Covy who recovered from shock quickly sat down rejoicing for finally having his bed back.
Astrid was in deep thought on how to convince the beast lord to let him go he understood he cannot outright reject her for he has heard that wolf only have one mate in life even when their mate dies they won't be able to be with anyone else but that doesn't even come to that as their strong instinct and desire for their mate eventually kills them from heartbreak.
The best option he could come up with was that he asks for time to think first of all he has to get out of here his mother might be worried to death about him not to mention if the news of indis getting kidnapped by werewolf spreads his parents might be angry with him who knows what punishment he would receive.
" I need time to think about it"
Jinx knew that she couldn't force him and she even knew that him asking for time was just an excuse once he leaves he would always stay in elf tribe but this little fairy has no idea no matter where he hindes he cannot escape her unless he himself kills her , she is not going to leave him.
" We can date for three months. After that if you still don't want to be my mate I will not force you. "
Astrid was overcome with joy the opportunity has fallen in his lap so he said yes without even thinking but my boy pies don't fall from the sky. As proven Jinx smirked her little rabbit was caught in the wolfs den just like that.
"Let's make a blood pack that for the next three months you will come to see me outside the border of your tribe so we can spend time with eachother and get to know eachother. "
Indis was busy boring hole with his eyes in the dog sitting so close to him who at some point has dozed off drooling in his sleep again making him frown that he didn't catch up to Jinx reaction if he did he would have saved his baby brother from falling into the Wolf's hand but it seems these both brother are destined to become the food for these wolf.
While indis was busy pushing away the heavy Covy off him who at some point fell on him , Astrid agreed forming the blood pack when they were done he wanted to wipe away his fingers but with his handkerchief but his hand was caught as the blood was licked clean from his fingers making him flinch as as spark traveled up his body making his tummy feel tingling his face heating up when he looked at the charming smile with a drop of blood on those pale lips.
This contrasting image took his breath away making him unable to breath as she licked the blood off her lips " sweet" she whispered making Astrid painc with embarrassment as he turned his face away hiding his rosy cheeks. While Astrid was getting hit on by this ungodly handsome wolf on the other side his brother from different mother was totally entangled with the other wolf.
Indis regretted ever feeling bad about this little dog who was shamelessly clinging to him it wasn't that bad until a fluffy black tail coiled around his arms the soft fur brushing against his skin have indis goosebumps he pinched the tail hard in retaliation once again the defenceless sleeping Covy was the victim of the red haired elf's abuse screamed in his sleep.
"Hey! What did I do now?"
"You! Shameless even in sleep hump!"
Covy whose tail was touched without permission not to mention pinched was shouted at for no reason he looked at indis as he held his tail with flat ears where he was pinched missing the light pink Tainting Indis cheeks he grumbled"what the heck did I even do? I knew it! I couldn't trust him when I am sleeping!"
Indis heard it all sending daggers at Covy making his ears stand up in alert ready to attack and defend but Indis marely scoffed at him silently muttering in a hushed tone
"Your tail was wrapped around my arm." Wolf have good hearing because of their animal instincts so even if it was just a bare whisper Covy heard it which made him flustered.
He felt that he can't be this shameless to coil his tail on some random person such intimate thing should only be done with once mate or spouse making him more flustered thankfully he was saved when Astrid intervene. "Let's go back mother should be waiting for us." He wanted to say she would be after us even going as far as writing us as missing and not found but he held back knowing that indis would understand it regardless of his words.
Sure enough hearing this he panicked grabbing Astrid's hand to take a run for it but was stopped by Covy he wanted to kill someone seriously right now "wait! Take two horses with you or you will take one whole day and night to reach the elf tribe on your feets" since meeting him it was the very first time indis heard something meaningful come out of that arrogant mouth other than polite insults and he was also in a rush so he nodded his head.
Jinx watched as the two backs disappointed with the horses with an unreliable expression "send a message to that elder Seer tell tell him that we are interested in signing a peace treaty with the elf race" Covy bowed down "as you wish my lord" with that he changed to his wolf form taking off towards the elf tribe.
Astrid was right his mother has gone to see Indis parents not only that she went to the warriors to ask if indis and him stayed behind for extra work making them scratch their head in confusion after that she practically went crazy even going as far as asking the head elder seer asking him to send out a search party she bugged him until he agreed.
Although he knew that serch party won't be able to save her son since he was the so called mate the chances of Astrid returning were in negative but there was still hope of finding his friend Revan's son indis just when the troops were to set indis and Astrid came back on the horses this scene had the elder seer in panic thinking that indis has kidnapped back Astrid from the first beast lord if so then not even that crystal can save them from the upcoming war (༎ຶ ෴ ༎ຶ).
When Astrid and indis saw these many warriors gathered they were terrified thinking there was some kind of invasion but the stares of onlookers told a different story the previous brown haired elf ran up to them telling how Astrid's mother caused a big tantrum. Hearing this he almost had a heart attack when his mother stumbled out of the crowd like a ghost she walked up to him for a second he thought he was going to be slapped hard across his face even indis was scared shitless closing his eyes and raising his arms in fear but the next second they were engulfed in a warm embrace.
They both were stunned until something warm dripped on their shoulders as soft sobs sounded by their ear they immediately hugged her back comforting Mrs.Maya but it was no use she kept wipping this scene was witnessed by the elf warriors making their chest tighten at such heart warming scene but they were soon dismissed by the elder seer now only the elder was present.
Mrs. Maya whispered between her choked breathing "I..i thought I lost you both....i... please don't do that again." Astrid and indis felt guilty normally she would beat the crap out of them but this was so new to be honest She did want to beat them after they returned but when she heard that there were wolf present she couldn't hold her calm it was not that there were no wolf married to elf and lived in the elf tribe with their spouses but no matter what she couldn't let her babies be left unprotected in the lions den specially after hearing that the first beast lord was there looking for her mate.
Somewhere she had a hint that her son was the mate the first beast lord was searching because that day she saw with her own eyes how she looked at Astrid all these years she wondered why would someone that powerful go against their own kind to save them but turned out she was just doing her duty.
She was scared that what if she chains down Astrid kidnapps him imprisonment him and forces herself on Astrid , her baby would suffer much worse fate than death she doesn't want that for her child not to mention indis was with him that child is so hot blooded that he won't hesitate to give his life just so Astrid could escape unscathed.
It's not like she was against her son being with the beast lord but it should be from love her experience tells her that marriage of love may not last long but it brings happiness unlike marriage of convenience being tied down to something you don't want just to suffer for life is hell she would rather her son says from his mouth that he is in love with her and wants to get married she would happily agree.
After all a childs happiness is what makes the parents happy but she doesn't want her little baby be forced to do anything against his will if she wants her baby she would have to win him not with force but with love.she was so overcome with relief when she saw both her little cubs were safe that this mama bear couldn't hold back her tears of joy.
When she finally stopped crying she pulled both of their ears making them cry out in pain now this was the woman they knew tough and rough "ouch! I am sorry aunty please stop that! "
"Ahh! Mother your hurting us! Don't you know how sensitive an elf's ear is?"
But his mother only huffed in angre "hump! You both are have become so impudent! You both need a good beating! How dare you lie to me i-" before she could continue to chew their ears out a loud cough was heard pulling her down on earth as she released their ears facing the elder seer she dusted her dress in embarrassment although there was nothing to dust off.
"I.. thank you elf elder I am sorry for causing such ruckus.. please accept my apology!"
She bowed down while the two young elf rubbed their swollen ear which was granted mercy by the interruption of elf elder. The elf elder nodded in acknowledgement turning his gaze to indis "You should get going your father was worried about you." Indis felt his hairs stand on the end he totally forgot about his parents he turned on his heels ready to run off but Astrid stopped him.
"Wait let me come with you."
Elder seer "Not you Astrid. I have to talk about something with you and your mother."
Astrid looked at indis with concerned eyes but indis only gave a bright reassuring smile before heading off for his home.just like that the elder seer was now sitting on his chair across from him sat Astrid and his mother an attendant poured them some tea and snacks and left to gave them privacy to talk.the elder didn't hinde around the bush coming straight to the point.
"How did you come back? Did you escape from the beast lord?"
Astrid frowned visibly obviously they didn't say anything about beast lord but it seems this elder knew that he was the mate of Jinx but then why would he bring his son instead of him maybe he didn't knew until they met so going by the timeline they found out that he was the mate of first beast lord and then told her where he was since he came to the city with them completing the deal of taking the crystal while leaving him to be a sacrifice.
Honestly he didn't care that much elf species are desperate so desperate that this old man decided to sell his son without a second thought so it wasn't a suprised that he would leave him in the dark like that since he was left in the dark he decided not to tell him about the full thing. "She said that she would let me go if I promise to meet her again." After hearing this the elf elders facial features relaxed quite lot stroking his white beard calmly.
But on the other hand Mrs. Maya was having another freaking conflict she heard that this elder thought that his son was the reborn mate he threw his son into the fire pit without thinking in exchange for his species survival but now it seems he also trapped her percious bunny into the Wolf's den no offence she knows that he was desparate but fuck she wanted to scratch his face so badly.
Damn "Did the beast lord force you ?" Astrid didn't think much of it thinking that his mother might have heard rumours about the reborn mate but the elf elder was suspicious of how well calm and understanding her expression were he wouldn't be an elder if he couldn't tell something was fishy sensing a curious gaze she continued to answer.
" Seventeen years ago The night we came to tribe we were attacked by the wolf pack at that time First beast lord came and saved us."
AA what a good suprise! The elf elder wanted to Bang his own head on the table if this woman knew then they should have traded this elf long ago but he couldn't blame her for hinding since to her he was the only person she was still alive for her reason to live so naturally he couldn't blame her for hinding.
