When Jen rushed to the hospital, it was already near 1 pm. She didn't have time to eat anything, the moment she got the phone call, she ran downstairs to stop a taxi.
"YD Private Hospital, please." She was busy messaging everyone she could trust to tell them about Sebastian.
"If you guys want to visit him, I will let you know. But now I don't know how he is doing or what went wrong." Jen typed in the group chat.
"Don't tell me Mr.Day couldn't take the pressure and just fainted." Jackson wrote.
"I have been checking the public response this morning, it has been good so far. The Burning Moon is just a small news outlet, it hasn't gotten that much attention, if you deal with it now, there is a chance to erase it." Luna was still more concerned about the news article.
"Tell us when we can visit him." Even though Jackson has been acting like he never liked Sebastian, Jen knows that he has a soft heart and is smart enough to see that Sebastian isn't a snob.
When Jen was about to rush into the hospital, she was shocked to see a line of security guards standing in front of the door.
"This is a little too much... Bad press image as well." Jen thought, wanted to take a photo and send that to Luna, but was afraid to offend the dozen men standing there in suits.
"Ms. Jennifer, please, Ms. Day has been waiting for you." One of them recognized Jen when she was working up the courage to walk up to the door.
"Thank you so much." Jen followed him into the hospital, "Do you know what happened to Sebastian?"
"Mr. Day had a lack of rest and he will recover soon. Do not worry." The man in the suit answered so fast that Jen thought he was trained to give this answer.
Well, who is she kidding, he probably was trained.
Jen had heard a lot of the YD Private Hospital- the famous medical institution that not many people could have access to.
This hospital was built when YD achieved its first financial success years ago. It was called a "private" hospital to show its competitors that YD was then strong enough to have its own property that could help with the public sector- yes, anyone could come to this hospital and be treated.
But about 20 years ago, with the development of other public infrastructure, fewer and fewer people would willingly come to this hospital. The then CEO, Sebastian's grandpa, "THE" Mr. Day, started using this hospital for charity purposes- if you were going through a difficult situation and needed to be treated, the door would always be open.
But today, the door was closed. Probably because Lynn didn't want anyone to disturb Sebastian- Jen wondered what exactly went wrong.
"Oh Jenny, here you are."
This is the first time Lynn called her Jenny, Jen felt a little weird out about that.
"Sebastian is okay now. But today when we went to his room, he was in so much pain and was basically kneeling on the floor. I had no idea what was wrong."
Lynn looked so worried, her hair was not even done- actually, it was half done. Her usual hairstyle was always the elegant half-up style as if she was permentally going to be a wedding guest.
But today, her mascara was running, lipstick was completely gone, and she seemed shorter than usual- oh she forgot to wear her heels.
"You can see, I really RAN to send him here. Oh, I was so so worried." Lynn was a little embarrassed to be seen like this.
"Don't worry, Ms. Day, it will be ok. But what happened?" Jen comforted Lynn, gesturing for her to see that there were still a lot of other people in the hallway.
Lynn took the sign and quickly went inside a meeting room with Jen and locked the door.
"Jen, you need to tell me exactly what happened between you and Sebastian." Lynn sounded serious the moment she entered the room alone with Jen, "He was crying for you because he said you would be harmed. That you will also die."
Jen was almost sweating when she heard Lynn's words.
"Sebastian said you were also poisoned." Lynn got closer to Jen and almost whispered into her ears.
Her hazel eyes were wide open, and her hands were shaking: "Jen, Jenny, please, please tell me what happened. Sebastian would not say anything. If I don't know, maybe he can't be treated on time."
Poisoned? Could it be possible that Sebastian is finally having reactions to whatever was in the alcohol that night? But then how can I be ok?
Jen couldn't figure it out, but for Sebastian's safety, she decided to tell Lynn the truth.
So she showed her the clip of that video, and explained to Lynn that she did walk in on them- but not that they wanted to be there, they were drugged. Both of them.
"Ha. I knew it." Lynn suddenly turned around and started laughing, "I knew that I was right about you. You are not the type of girl that would go clubbing."
"Why are you laughing, should you go tell the doctor now? So that they can treat Sebastian?" Jen was confused to see Lynn's reaction.
"Oh dear, he is alright. He had some stomach infection, that was it. He did make a big deal out of nothing though, which is common you know. Boys are always like that, same with my brothers." Lynn sat down on the chair next to Jen's, "But he did say you were going to die and he was going to die. So I wanted to know what happened."
Lynn couldn't help smiling at her own smart plan to get this information out of Jen:" Can't I be an actress if I want to? I did a good job right?"
Jen didn't know what to say.
If they lived in the world of cartoons, her face would be three lines: -_-
"So Sebastian is ok." She finally said after hearing Lynn's confession, "Can I go see him?"
"Oh, yes, dear, of course! But you need to be careful with him, stop feeding him burgers, he has a weak stomach. Did you guys eat something bad yesterday?"
Jen thought about it very hard, but all of the members of team Sebastian ate the same thing and everyone else was fine!
"Just some street food... But those are all very clean..."
"Don't blame yourself, Jenny, Sebastian was just used to that." Lynn waved, trying to erase Jen's guilt, "He is in room 106, go look at him, it's ok. Oh, and don't let me catch you two not decently clothed again, hahaha."
Lynn said, opened the door, and gestured for her assistant to come over and help her fix her hair.
Jen was completely weirded out by Lynn's action- shouldn't she be worried that Sebastian was drugged before and hasn't she read the news yet?
"Lynn, before I go, you should know about the news..."
"Oh yes, yes, I know, I know. Go to see him, I will deal with it." Lynn said, fixing her makeup using the reflection from the glass on the door, "Luna did a good job with the social media control."
"Did Sebastian tell you? About the plans we had?" Jen felt like her hair was standing up when Lynn casually mentioned Luna's name.
"Of course not, honey. He is stubborn like a bull. I have ears around the city." Lynn winked, "Oh, I got some flowers for you to bring to Se-se, this is the first time his friend is visiting him in the hospital. Oh, so romantic."
Jen felt like she was being pranked by the entire YD when she was holding the flowers Lynn prepared and was basically pushed into the room.
"Go and have fun, sweetie," Lynn blew a kiss in her direction, "I know who did all the bad things, you two just sit and relax, let my assistants know if you need anything, Auntie Lynn will go take care of them first."
"Wait!" Jen shouted as Lynn was leaving Sebastian's room, "Who did it? You said you know who did all of those?"
