After a trip that surprisingly only took them two days, they arrived in the capital of the Northern Holy Kingdom, Anhalt. This city was rich in it's history, and one could tell from a glance. Lua carried the luggage in his hands and walked off the train station, looking around to take in the scenery.
The train station was right outside the city, which still had walls for unknown reasons. With recent advancement of warfare technology, specifically for mages learning considerably more destructive spells and the development of specialised artillery, fortress walls had been made redundant. Right now, walls served little purpose and only served to limit the expansion of a city.
Perhaps they value their culture...? Lua wondered, but then remembered that none of the cities on the way here had fortresses. It's likely that they're trying to make the capital look grand, then. Lua came to the conclusion.
