Chereads / My Dungeon System in Revara / Chapter 18 - Fallen entity

Chapter 18 - Fallen entity

Viru, having successfully subdued the Forest Walker, initiated the subordination process. It took sometime, As the mighty creature bowed before its new Dungeon Master, the sense of loyalty and servitude emanated from its demeanor.

'I thus offer my servitude'

Uttered the Forest Walker.

'At ease, I humbly welcome you to join our ranks in my Dungeon. You shall inherit my first stage nature domain and rule over it'

'With you guarding my first floor, i can relax a little bit' said Viru with excitement in his eyes.

This was primarily the dream of a forest Walker, to rule over its own forest. With this position as the first floor boss, the forest walker's powers would definitely grow exponentially in the future.

The more land it could control, it's strength would similarly grow.

Viru, feeling the connection between them strengthen, understood that he now had a formidable guardian for his expanding dungeon.

However, amidst this moment of triumph, an unexpected event unfolded.

A fiery asteroid-like object streaked across the sky, hurtling towards a location approximately 20 km away from Viru and his group. The impact, though not directly felt, unleashed a shockwave that rippled through the surroundings, emphasizing the sheer force of the cosmic collision.

Viru, Pyra, Luro, and their assembled companions turned their attention towards the distant crash site. The curiosity and concern painted on their faces mirrored the mysterious and unpredictable nature of Revara. It was a stark reminder that, even in the midst of establishing a dungeon and acquiring powerful allies, the world around them held untold secrets and potential threats. Viru, ever vigilant, prepared to investigate the aftermath of the celestial impact, ready for whatever revelations or challenges it might bring to their burgeoning dungeon domain.

The forest enveloped the group as they pressed on toward the fallen object, a sense of trepidation lingering in the air. Viru and Albus shared a mutual understanding that not investigating this unknown element could be as perilous as confronting it. The dense foliage around them seemed to close in, casting shadows that heightened the sense of mystery and foreboding.

'Let's go and check that out!'

Leaving the forest walker and grayon cubs behind due to their slower pace, the team quickened their steps. It took them one hour to cover that distance in foot with all the challenges and hinderance , the jungle had. As their distance kept reducing steadily, The fallen object loomed larger with each stride, and Pyra's instincts, finely tuned to danger, screamed warnings. Her crimson eyes flared, a visual manifestation of the imminent threat.

'Master it seems to be an astonishingly powerful foe, but currently it's not revealing hostile qualities'

Alarmed by her reactions, the group approached with caution, weapons at the ready.

As they entered the immediate vicinity of the fallen entity, an oppressive atmosphere descended upon them. The object, a massive structure of unknown origin, harbored something formidable within. Viru's gaze scanned its exterior, searching for clues. The very air seemed to vibrate with latent power, and Pyra's instincts reached a crescendo, signaling the presence of a being so overwhelmingly potent that it dwarfed the combined strength of the entire group.

The forest stood silent, as if holding its breath in anticipation of the unfolding encounter. Viru, Pyra, and Luro exchanged glances, the unspoken acknowledgment of the formidable challenge ahead.

The revelation struck the group like a thunderclap. Albus, the ever-analytical companion, disclosed the nature of the fallen entity—a star elemental dragon. An existence so transcendent that it harnessed the might of celestial giants, its very presence emitting an unstable and volatile aura. The air crackled with the magnitude of its power, dwarfing the capabilities of any being native to Revara.

Viru's mind whirred with considerations. This encounter posed a challenge beyond anything they had faced before. The dragon, a cosmic force confined within the bounds of Revara, pulsed with energy that defied comprehension. Pyra felt the gravitational pull of such immense power, her instincts reverberating with a mix of awe and caution.

Luro, the demihuman with a penchant for necromancy, regarded the star elemental dragon with a mix of fascination and wariness. The forest walker and grayon cubs, left behind for their safety, were spared from the imminent confrontation.

As the group tried to step in to analyse the dragon more,

'Don't you dare come closer'

Raged the dragon's voice.

The resonating roar of the star elemental dragon acted as a sonic barrier, a clear message reverberating through the air—warning the intruders against venturing closer. The group, momentarily paralyzed by the sheer magnitude of the sound, instinctively withdrew, their faces etched with a mix of terror and awe.

Albus, the analytical guide, delved into the dragon's essence, unraveling a dire truth. The celestial giant, now a fallen star within the realms of Revara, was gripped by severe injuries. The very essence that fueled its existence was dwindling, dissipating into the fabric of the universe. Time, relentless and unforgiving, had marked the dragon's demise within a month if left unchecked.

Viru, Pyra, and Luro, their initial fear now tempered with empathy, exchanged glances. The revelation shifted the narrative—the star elemental dragon, once an imminent threat, now cast in the light of a dying celestial being. The urgency to comprehend the situation, coupled with the responsibility of dealing with a force beyond their reckoning, pressed upon the group.

'Albus, make my thoughts scream loud so that the dragon can hear me' viru asked

'It's Done' Albus replied

'We are not here with hostile intentions, I know that you are severely injured and dying by the second.'

'I can help you recover and rest, please allow me too come closer'

As Viru communicated his desire to aid the severely injured dragon, his words echoed in the vast expanse of the forest. The dragon, lying there wounded and skeptical, seemed to contemplate the unlikely proposition. A human claiming the ability to heal a being of its caliber was unheard of, and the dragon struggled to believe such a claim.

Undeterred, Viru delved deeper into his explanation, emphasizing his understanding of the dragon's plight and the knowledge he possessed to alleviate its suffering.

'You can trust me, I understand your ignorance but I truly have a method to heal you, I've been blessed with a unique system that'll make this possible'

He assured the dragon that he had a viable solution, a method that could potentially save its life. To strengthen his commitment, Viru even went as far as offering his own life if his attempts proved futile.

'Master, the dragon can actually easily kill us even from this distance in its injured state. We are not even flies compared to it'

Luro mentioned.

'Yes, I totally understand. But we won't die as long as the core remains undamaged. But it would take us several days to reappear. Still I think it's definitely worth it to convince the dragon'

Explained Viru.

Viru's subordinates were in awe of his cander.

The dragon, though powerful enough to obliterate Viru and his entire group, displayed a surprising level of discernment. Unlike mindless monsters, dragons exhibited a certain degree of reason and demanded respect. Prideful creatures. Viru's sincerity seemed to reach the dragon, gradually calming its initial hostility.

After moments of intense mental exchange, the dragon granted Viru permission to draw near. The shift in the dragon's tone became evident – a softening, a subtle acknowledgment of the potential understanding that was forming. Viru approached cautiously, maintaining a distance of 10 meters. The dragon, with its towering presence, watched with a gaze that reflected both wariness and curiosity.
