Chapter 76 - Chapter 70 - Hidden History

Rahua's POV

As we continued walking, my mind was still consumed with thoughts of the tapestries and the strange vision I had just experienced. Was it all just a result of the maid's concoction in the bathwater, or was there something more to it?

I couldn't shake off the feeling that there was a hidden message within those tapestries. It felt like a warning, a foretelling of things to come. But what did it all mean?

Over the next few days, I couldn't help but find myself drawn back to those tapestries and those dark stairs that called out for me. Every time I passed by, I wondered if I should just let go and take it as my mind playing tricks or really explore it as something real.

Damion has been focused on the farming project so was the King, they would go out early and comeback late.

It took a while for me to feel bored enough to go and venture the possibility of, all that I saw that day, as being real.

I went to study the tapestries, searching for any clues or hidden symbols, that I might have missed. The tapestries were bothering me alot. They seemed to hold some sort of power, an ancient magic woven into their threads. I don't know maybe I was too bored and was reading too much into things.

With each passing day, I found myself growing more and more curious about the history of the kingdom and Damion's ancestors. I delved into the vast library of the palace, pouring over ancient scrolls and texts, seeking answers and unraveling the secrets that lay hidden within the tapestries. I didn't find anything worthy.

The kingdom seemed to have an historical records but they were void of any importance, it was as if someone had rewritten the story all together and didn't bother to add anything interesting.

I sat sorrounded by my mess of open books and scrolls. I look around in the library, for the first time I felt like the books around me had no value, like they were just empty covers.

"Did anyone try to erase history?" I laugh at the loud thought.

I layed back trying to make sense of this, suddenly I remembered a book that I had read at lady Morgana's ... Well Mr.Cirius house. It was about a kingdom... I can't exactly remember.

"Damn it, if I was close to Mr. Cirius house..."

"The lady, called." A figure appeared from above me, scaring the sweetness out of me.

I screamed like all the colours in the world were replaced to nothing but white.

"It's me Lady Rahua, you called me remember." I stand up and looked at the figure in front of me, it was Mr. Cirius, but why, how, what?

"I.. I didn't call." My voice was still shaken.

Mr. Cirius chuckled, his eyes gleaming mischievously. "Oh, my dear Lady Rahua, it seems your lovely Prince, didn't tell you about his request."

"Request wha-what request? " I was still out of breath.

"Oh my, oh my, he requested me to protect, whenever you say my name I shall appear. " I was dumbfounded I didn't know bout this summoning situation. It was kind of cool but still, he scared me.

As I calmed my heart and every fiber of my body down, Mr. Cirius was looking around picking up the books of the floor.

"What was the Lady, trying to find?" His mischievous smile seemed to tell me as if he already knew what I was trying to find out.

"I was trying to understand... Well learn more about the kingdom." I say, trying to study is expressions, but he was good at masking them, always with his mischievous smile.

"You have a knack for stumbling upon hidden truths, don't you, my Lady?"

"What do you mean?"

Mr. Cirius smiled, a smile that reached his eyes, crinkling the corners. "Why don't you tell me what are you trying to learn."

"You might think I am crazy. " I wondered if I should tell you about the tapestry, he is a mage after all, he might know something.

"Well, I already think you're pretty interesting, so being crazy will just add to your charm." I chuckled at his reply, it made me feel more at ease.

I begin telling him everything I saw and how I felt that day, expecting him to brush it off as mere coincidence or imagination. But to my surprise, he listened intently, his expression growing serious as I spoke.

"You've stumbled upon something truly fascinating, Lady Rahua," he said after a moment of silence. "The tapestries, the visions, they are not mere figments of your imagination. They hold a deep meaning, and ancient magic that has been woven into the fabric of this kingdom."

My eyes widened in astonishment. "So, it's not just my mind playing tricks on me?"

"No, my dear Lady Rahua, it is so much more than that," Mr. Cirius affirmed, is playfulness being replaced by excitement "There is a hidden history, a forgotten truth that has been carefully erased from the annals of time. But it seems that you have a connection to that truth, a role to play in uncovering it."

"But why me?" I asked, feeling a mixture of excitement and trepidation.

Mr. Cirius placed a hand on my shoulder, his eyes filled with a mixture of wisdom and intrigue. "You possess a rare gift, Rahua. A gift that allows you to see beyond the surface, to sense the magic that lies dormant within the world. I believe that you hold the key to unlocking the secrets of this kingdom and restoring the balance that has been lost."

My curiosity rings, is it because I am Rahua Stronghold now or is it because I transmigrated into this place?

This was even beyond the novel, I could remember the novel glancing over the mage subject, and how they assisted Ceaser, in his quest to become King, but still was not really that deepned in the story, at least not as a main story. There were fan fictions were a little deeper but nothing wild.

I took a deep breath, processing everything he had just revealed. It was overwhelming, yet exhilarating. "What do we do now? How do we uncover these secrets?"

Mr. Cirius smiled, a glint of excitement in his eyes. "We embark on a journey, my dear Rahua. A journey of discovery and adventure. Together, we will delve into the depths of this kingdom's history, unravel the forgotten truths, and bring light to the darkness that shrouds it." I look at him, suspicious that he was making fun of me, when I see him bursting out laughing.

" Ahahahahhaha, I'm sorry I couldn't hold in any longer, you are just too easy to fool." I guess he was just feeding me some kids story for his own entertainment.

"I guess you can stop laughing now that you had your fun. " I say sitting on the floor grabbing one book.

"I'm sorry you don't need to be angry, I didn't lie to you, Lady Rahua, about the magic, and the history that has been erased, but the time to deal with it has yet to come." He says sitting back in a chair he got to take a seat closer to me.

"I do remember when you made me read a book about a magic kingdom, is this part of the history that has been erased?" I ask.

He look at me not saying a word, as if it was obvious.

"What happened? Why such an incredible kingdom would turn into something like....well like this... Is something to do why all the mages go to the tower learn magic?"

"You seem too curious to know about the history of this country, the story is not that old, is actually very recent, but very forgotten. "

He looks at door direction before standing up."I guess that, we will have to leave for another time." He says bowing to me.

I stand up quickly, pulling on his arm."I have had it, what is up with everyone referring to me as 'Lady' even the maids and the other servants keep calling me that." He smiles as if he finds amusing my frustration.

"Well I guess, that is a question for your beloved Prince Damion." He says before leaving me alone in the library.

A knock on the door brought me back.

"My lady." The maid said. "Your Highness, has arrived has requested for your presence."
