Chapter 38 - Chapter 34 - The Announcement

The Kingdom of Arrentela is renowned for its extravagant and opulent lifestyle. The aristocracy in Arrentela leads lavish lives, with grand palaces, extravagant parties, and luxurious possessions. Their wealth and status are unmatched throughout the entire realm, making them the envy of many.

However, despite their wealth and status, the nobility in Arrentela lacks cultural influences. They are often seen as disconnected from the common people and have little interest in the arts, literature, or traditional customs. The nobles of Arrentela focus primarily on their own personal pleasure and indulgence, often neglecting the development or preservation of cultural traditions within the kingdom.

This lack of cultural influence can be attributed to the aristocracy's preoccupation with maintaining their lavish lifestyle and upholding their social status. They prioritize material wealth and showing off their opulence over the cultivation and appreciation of arts, music, and other cultural expressions. Consequently, the Kingdom of Arrentela is often criticized for its aristocracy's indifference to cultural matters and its tendency to neglect the enrichment of their society through artistic and intellectual pursuits, this once know cultural prosperous Kingdom, involved in magic development, and other source of knowledge, now is just superfluous empty shell of it's former glory.

"Bianca please, please." Pleaded Lady Carmelia. While taking a stroll in the park.

"No, we cannot go, your father would be angry at you, and then at me. He would perhaps say that I am a bad influence on you." Lady Bianca, who was gentle and kind, knew that her best friends was a loose cannon

"Sir Leon, will certainly comeback from the campaign I just want to say hello to him." Lady Carmelia said with dreamy eyes.

I, Rahua was having my weekly day off and today I was enjoying my view at the the village park when those two arrived and made themselves comfortable, in the next sitting are talking about romance, not noticing my presence.

Lady Bianca sighed, understanding her friend's longing. "I know you miss him, Carmelia, but you must respect your father's wishes. Sir Leon is an honorable knight, it would not be fair for him to return and find out you defied your father's orders."

Lady Carmelia pouted, her frustration evident. " It's been months since I last saw him. At least let me admire him from afar. My love for him is already impossible, please let me steal these small moments."

Lady Bianca's gaze softened, realising that her friend love was not easy an story. "You're right, Carmelia. Please don't be sad. I know just how hard it is to suppress emotions sometimes.

As I observed the two friends, it became apparent that their bond went beyond mere friendship. Lady Carmelia's love for Sir Leon seemed undeniable, even though circumstances made their relationship complicated. Lady Bianca, on the other hand, showed unwavering dedication to her friend's well-being, putting aside her own desires to uphold the rules of the peerage and protect their friendship.

In that moment, I couldn't help but feel a sense of admiration for both of them. It takes great strength to suppress one's own desires for the sake of others, and it seemed that both Lady Bianca and Lady Carmelia possessed this strength.

As they continued their conversation, Kira arrived she wanted to make her lunch break with me that's why I was sitted here.

That's when I remembered something could to help. I whispered as she sat down next to me, "Please play along with me." Kira looked confused but still nodded.

"Ohhhh a masquerade ball you say? All the young knights and Lords will be joining in. What a marvelous thing. Isn't what they say, people tend to fall in love in masquerade balls.?" My voice was loud and high pitched I could see in Kira's face that was the wierdest thing she had me seen doing.

However to my surprise she played along.

As I continued with my impromptu act, Lady Bianca and Lady Carmelia's conversation momentarily paused. They both turned towards me with curiosity and amusement in their eyes.

"Miss Rahua, you are absolutely right!" Kira exclaimed, catching onto the role-playing. "A masquerade ball would be the perfect opportunity for love to blossom.Oh oh oh oh" Kira gave a weird laugh at end, I didn't know what else to say, but I was proud of her, she was my ride or die type of sister.

They seemed surprised and excited to hear it, about the masquerade ball. Lady Carmelia said with a low voice to Lady Bianca.

"Bianca, a masquerade ball would be the perfect opportunity for us to have a glimpse of Sir Leon without defying my father's wishes. We could hide our identities behind masks and enjoy the enchantment of the evening."

Lady Bianca joined in, her voice filled with excitement, but still low. "Indeed, Carmelia! It would be like a fairytale come true. We could relish the magic of the ball, and perhaps in the midst of the dances and whispers, Sir Leon and Carmelia's love could bloom."

As Lady Bianca and Lady Carmelia laughed and contemplated their plans for the masquerade ball, I couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction. In this small moment of role-playing, we had managed to bring some hope and excitement into their lives, providing idea for a temporary escape from the constraints and responsibilities that held them back.

After leaving the park with Kira, I was wondering that maybe our playful suggestion would plant a seed of possibility in their hearts, gradually giving them the courage to find alternative ways to find their love..... Nahh, I must be reading too much into it.

Sir Leon and Carmelia's love story was the only constant of the whole storyline in all the fan fictions, they had a truly cute story, their love was base on conversation, and they talked with each not letting any misunderstandings flourish between them was a breath of fresh air on all the love clichés. They do end up together after much effort and struggle.

Ahh young love!

Few days later, there was rumours of a masquerade ball that was going to happen, not only for the nobel class, but also for the knights involved in the campaign, as the rumours progressed, also did it's content, there was already talks about awarding the brave knights for their bravery and hard work in fighting the Rebel army.

After the whole hype of the rumours, about the Ball, the King finally made an announcement that masquerade ball would take place soon.

Finally the Grand Event of the ball will take place when Ceaser returns with Damion, the knights and the Prince. I am so happy, finally the storyline it's getting on track.
