Upon arriving home, Damion was greeted by Loyd.
"Your Highness, I've made some progress in finding out who this 'Napoleon' is," Loyd reported, breaking through Damion's reverie.
Damion perked up, suddenly interested. "Tell me, Loyd."
"Napoleon , your Highness, may be a new noble on the rising, it's said that he has very interesting views of the world, he may be the one your Highness, heard about."
"I seriously doubt that. How would she know about that?" Damion said between his teeth almost in like a whisper.
Should I investigate more?" Loyd was loyal he would do anything for the Prince.
"Yes please keep me informed." Said Damion.
"I will depart soon to handle the conflicts in the south." Damion said with an absent mind.
"I will make sure to bring good news when you return your Highness." Said Loyd while bowing.
So days after the departure from the king's knights and the prince, Loyd embarks on a relentless quest to find this elusive person in their kingdom, unbeknownst to them that Napoleon never existed in their world.
As he travels through villages, towns, and cities, his inquiries about Napoleon Bonaparte are met with puzzled looks and confusion.
Nobody has ever heard the name before, and the character's persistence in searching for this non-existent person leads him to labeled as eccentric or even delusional.
Undeterred by the skepticism of others, Loyd delves deeper into historical records, ancient texts, and long-forgotten manuscripts, hoping to find some mention of this mythical person.
He spends countless hours in dusty archives and libraries, pouring over faded maps and manuscripts, and studying the accounts of other great figures from history in the hopes of unraveling the mystery.
Along the way, Loyd encounters various obstacles and challenges that test his determination, he has met people who chase him away, he face skeptics who discourage his pursuit, confront dangerous situations, with monsters and endure moments of despair.
Yet, fueled by an unwavering belief that his search will lead him, to find this person, and he would be able to report to his Highness, his great discovery, he presses on.
After months, the character accepts that his search for Napoleon Bonaparte was a futile one, Loyd returns to the kingdom, disheartened by his failed search.
He feels a sense of defeat as he faces the Prince, unsure of how to relay the disappointing news.
"I'm sorry, Your Highness," Loyd begins, his voice heavy with regret. "I have searched far and wide, but there is no trace of this Napoleon.
It seems that he truly does not exist in our world."
Damion's expression falls, a mix of disappointment and resignation crossing his face. "I suppose I should have expected as much. It was a mere name, and that girl has probably imagined him, she has a fertile, imagination."
Loyd bows his head, overcome with guilt for not bringing the desired outcome. "Please forgive me for not uncovering the truth, Your Highness. I have failed you."
Damion places a hand on Loyd's shoulder, offering a reassuring smile. "No, Loyd. You did your best, and I am grateful for your efforts. It was a journey worth taking, even if it ended in disappointment."
"I am just glad, to have a loyal supporter as you. I know is not much, but I vow to repay the faith you have on me." Damion said with a gentle smile.
Loyd nods, his loyalty reignited. "Yes, Your Highness. I am dedicated to serving you and help your Highness in pursuing of the greatness our world has to offer."
And so, they leave behind the ghost of Napoleon.
