Damion's POV
The day that Cirius was in my tent, he left me something, at first it bothered me because I didn't know what to do with that.
He left me a mirror, I called on him later ready to scold him, but he than explained to me.
"Your Highness, nothing to be upset, since I noticed how you miss Rahua, I left this magical hand mirror for you to look at her whenever you miss her, or even to make sure she is safe." He told me before disappearing again.
I stared at the mirror in my hands, I wasn't sure what to feel.
Cirius was perceptive, but this gift took it to a whole new level. At first, I had misunderstood his intentions, thinking he was insinuating my vanity. But now, as I listened to his explanation, it became clear that his intentions were somewhat pure and thoughtful. Or he just did it because he thought it would bring him a good laugh to tease me.
I thanked Cirius for his ingenious idea, though he had already disappeared, leaving me alone with my thoughts. Holding the mirror up to my face, I gazed into it, hoping to catch a glimpse of Rahua and assure myself that she was safe.
As I stared into the reflective surface, a mix of emotions washed over me.
What I was doing? Was this correct? Wasn't it not because of selfish reasons? Even so, I wanted to see her.
I gather all my shamelessness and took a peek in the mirror. It showed me, her..
I couldn't help but chuckle as I looked into the mirror. There she was, just as unpredictable and unconventional as ever.
She was stomping the floor, I guess she looked frustrated, where was she?? Was she outside a shop?
As I watched Rahua in the mirror, my chuckle turned into a full-blown laugh. Her frustrated stomping and animated gestures reminded me of her spirited personality. It was both endearing and amusing to see her express herself in such a dramatic way.
I could almost hear her voice, scolding me for laughing at her, then she would laugh with me agreeing that she was weird.
Rahua had always been honest to her feelings and she never took notice on how weird she was.
Seeing her in the mirror, even in her moments of frustration, reminded me how much I wanted to became a person she looks up to.
I realized that the mirror had become more than just a tool to see her and ensure her safety. It had become a source of comfort and a reminder of her presence in my life. Through it, I could witness her raw emotions and unique quirks, reaffirming the depth of my feelings for her.
In that moment, I made a silent promise to myself. I would use this mirror to not only cherish and admire Rahua from afar but also to find ways to bridge the distance between us.
I gently placed the mirror aside, ready to take the necessary steps to make Rahua sees me too.
Cirius's gift had not only provided me with a glimpse of Rahua but had also ignited a fire within me. And for that, I would be forever grateful.
