Chapter 11 - Let's fight

Zadhea squinted her eyes and looked closely behind the water fountain. Soon, a dark figure came to her sight. Under the dim candle light, she could see a young teenager who had a godlike figure and a very handsome face. It seemed like god did so much favour while creating his outer appearance.

What about his inner beauty? She'll find it out soon.

Lucas smiled at the beauteous girl in front of him. She had a fair, milky white skin. Her phoenix eyes could capture any man's heart within a very short time. Her wavy, red hair swayed beautifully as the midnight wind brushed against it. Her rainbow like eyebrows looked sharp and somehow cunning? He didn't know why but he felt like she was the best example for a stunning, vicious girl. Nevertheless, he must admit that she was a flawless beauty.

Hidden beneath her blue eyes, he could see no sympathy.

Maybe was he imagining things?

Although he was still seventeen, he could measure people just by taking a single glance at their appearance. It was one of his greatest talents and... Most of the time, he was absolutely correct.

Maybe this princess wasn't as simple as she seemed to be. Her deep eyes showed some shades of secrets. Seemed like she was hiding something.

But what was it?

Tsk, what an interesting creature!

Lucas's yellow eyes curved into crescents. He was a smiling fox. No one knew what his thoughts were behind his grin.

Zadhea didn't return his smile. Her eyes shone with curiosity.

Lucas blushed instantly. Damn! She looked cute like an angry kitten who was ready to scratch people.

"Ehem. Aren't you going to return his greetings?" The king broke the silence.

Startled, Zadhea awkwardly smiled before saying, "Nice to meet you, Lord Lucas."

"It should be corrected as teacher Lucas or maybe master Lucas," Lucas arrogantly grinned.

Zadhea shot him a strange look.

"Okay, master Lucas." In the end, she gave up and said with a helpless sigh.

Lucas quickly waved his hands in front of her. "No need, no need. I was just teasing you. Lucas is enough, your grace."

King Edwin cleared his throat and said, "You guys continue talking. I have something else to do. It's better for me to take my leave."

Zadhea was worried. "But father... It's midnight already. Don't stay up late. It's not good for your health."

The king became happy. Despite being a bit cold, the daughter of his actually cared about his well-being. What a filial daughter!

"Don't worry. I'm not that old." With that, the king left the garden after giving Lucas a wink secretly. Lucas nodded in response.

"Okay, Zadie. Let's talk freely now." Lucas put his right hand in his pant pocket in a relaxed manner.

"What did you mean by Zadie, Luke?"

"What did you mean by Luke then, Zadie?"

Then they both laughed.

"Okay, let me be serious. Why do you want to learn swordsmanship so badly? And archery too? It doesn't seem like for self-defence."

"Why do you think so?"

"Because, you showed interest in these fields at such a young age when other girls were busy with dolls, dresses, shoes and jewelleries. They still do actually. But look at you! Even your nightgown is blue."

Zadhea looked down to see her nightdress. She didn't like to wear nighties to sleep. However, her mother insisted her to do that. She said, at least, in that way, she might remember that she was a lady NOT a MAN.

Zadhea narrowed her eyes, displeased.

"What's wrong with blue?" She snapped at him.

Lucas shrugged his shoulders.

"Listen, Lucas. We just met. So, you are still a stranger to me. Some matters, I can only reveal them when we have faith in each other. So, be patient. I'll tell you everything when the right time arrives..."

"You want to fight with Prince Heidith." Lucas interrupted her. "You want to be the empress in both countries. Am I correct?"

Zadhea was stunned. "Whoa! Did my father tell you everything?" What a blabbermouth!

"No," He denied. "He just asked me to train you. As for the rest, I realised it through my intelligence. A bravo, right?" He winked at her.

Zadhea rolled her eyes.

"If I am a girl, I'll try my best to curry favour with the royal Prince. That way, I can be the queen and rule both countries together... with him... Simple, fair, a win-win situation. The most suitable and easiest way..." Lucas said what was honestly in his mind. "You are a girl. A delicate girl shouldn't endure such hardships."

"I'm different and definitely not delicate... Plus, I have my reasons. But not gonna tell you."

Lucas clicked his tongue. "That's why you are interesting, milady."

"What?" Zadhea, who dived into her own ocean of thoughts, couldn't hear what he said.

"Nothing."

Then they fell into a silence.

After a while, Zadhea broke the silence between them by asking, "You must have gone to study there already. Can you tell me about Ashenara academy so that I can get a brief idea?"

"I didn't," Said Lucas. "It's my first time as well."

"What?" Zadhea was dumbfounded. "Every noble teenager attends there to study, Lucas! And, it's at the age of fifteen NOT seventeen."

"Don't care."

Zadhea could only sigh.

"Will you attend the same class as me?" That might be troublesome!

Lucas chuckled in a low, deep voice. "Do you want me to, milady?" Then he gave her his second wink.

Zadhea rolled her eyes at him for the second time.

"Not at all."

Her reply made him laugh again. He really enjoyed talking to her. It was fun!

"Don't worry, Zadie. The academy isn't an important place. At least, not for me. Furthermore, I have already learned everything. I was actually on a mission for like... Three months. But his majesty requested me to teach you. He said I was the perfect candidate. I dunno. I only hope I won't regret dropping my mission halfway..."

"You won't regret teaching to me," Zadhea quickly said. "I'm a good, devoted student." She proudly patted her chest, lifting her chin.

Lucas smiled. "Very well. Let's fight. That way, I can find out your limitations."

"Let's fight?" Zadhea repeated. She looked around and asked, "Right here? Right now?"

"Yes," Lucas let out a yawn. "Why? Are you sleepy?"

My cute sleepyhead!

Zadhea glared at him. "Says who? I'm ready. Bring your sword. I have mine."

"Sweetie, I have mine too."

Zadhea shook her shoulders. "Let's begin then."

--------------

The author of 'Yandere Male lead, Please let me go' went to an interview as usual. She got so many interviews regarding her new book because it got famous like hot potatoes.

"Hi, our dear author Ms. Silvester or we can call her by her cute pen name, 'Honey-cream'. How are you doing?"

The middle aged woman adjusted her spectacles while smiling widely.

"I'm fine. Currently resting after finishing my new book. This novel took me two and half years to complete. So, it's fair for me to rest, isn't it?"

"Of course." The interviewer nodded her head like a chick. "But... We thought you are busy again with rewriting the same book?"

"Rewriting?" Ms. Silvester was stunned. "What did you mean by rewriting? I can't understand."

"Yesterday, you uploaded a few chapters of the same novel and the content was changed drastically." The interviewer explained awkwardly. "I'm also a fan of yours. I read them from the beginning to end. The villainess is different. She looks like a different person."

"Wait a minute!" Author Honey-cream slammed her tea cup angrily. "It's a scam! Someone is ruining my book!" She roared furiously.

She shed blood and tears to write that book. Who dared to change what she built? What a shameless scammer!

"But... It's your account, madam." The interviewer told her patiently. "No one can easily access to your account, right?"

Ms. Silvester furrowed her eyebrows, annoyed.

'Let me check it myself. I want to know who dared to ruin my book,' She thought, anger flashing through her eyes.
