The sudden release of aura from Ye Han made everyone around instinctively retract their burning gazes. In a world where the strong are revered, everything is based on strength.
Ignoring the respectful looks of the crowd, Ye Han glanced at Xiao Ya beside him and said, "Let's go, haven't you been clamoring to try the food here?" After speaking, he headed towards Miyat. Little did he know, soon after, this place would become the first 'Dead City' in the history of Qingming Continent because of him!
"Okay!" Xiao Ya, pouting her lips, followed quickly behind Ye Han. She knew she had made a mistake. When Ye Han said he would take her to the city, she was thrilled and readily agreed to his requests. However, she had already broken one of them before even entering the city.
"Don't be mad, Brother Ye Han, I know I was wrong," Xiao Ya gently tugged at Ye Han's sleeve, admitting her mistake.
"Forget it, just be more careful in the future," Ye Han couldn't bring himself to be angry at Xiao Ya's innocence.
"Hehe, are you not angry anymore, Brother Ye Han?" Xiao Ya's delicate smile immediately brightened her pretty face, making the surrounding crowd stop in their tracks again.
"Brother Ye Han, why... why do they keep staring at me?" Xiao Ya, naive about many things, asked in confusion, involuntarily moving behind Ye Han. It seemed the burning gazes around her made her scared. Her face turned red under the scrutiny of the surrounding eyes, and some people's throats moved up and down restlessly.
"Because you're pretty, Xiao Ya. A graceful lady is always sought after by gentlemen," Ye Han said indifferently. Even with all his abilities, he couldn't stop people from looking. Eyes are on their heads after all; they can look wherever they want, and no one can control that.
"This young master is quite eloquent," said a handsome, white-clad young man approaching Ye Han from the front, still muttering the sentence Ye Han had just said.
"Good or not, what's it to you?" Ye Han replied unkindly, leading Xiao Ya forward.
"How dare you! Do you know who our young master is?" A swordsman from behind stood up and shouted at Ye Han. Several others also stared at Ye Han intently, ready to act if he uttered another disrespectful word.
"Who is he? Probably another worthless young master from some family, just trash flaunting his family's name!" Ye Han said without a hint of concern, not even sparing them a glance as he brushed past.
This was a classic case of 'a dead pig not fearing boiling water' or 'being numb to itches when infested with lice.' To Ye Han, having many enemies was nothing new; a few more wouldn't matter. Besides, the noble sons appearing in Miyat City were all looking to capture him.
"You...!" The white-clad young man was infuriated by Ye Han's words, his eyes flashing coldly. His followers, seeing their master's angry expression, quickly surrounded Ye Han, their weapons glowing menacingly with infused fighting spirit.
"Good dogs don't block the way, get lost!" With a sharp shout, the men felt a piercing pain in their ears, surprised to see the man in black robes in their midst.
"Kid, do you know the consequences of offending me?" the white-clad young man said harshly, his handsome face twisted by Ye Han's words, looking somewhat ferocious.
"Consequences? Is there anything worse than death? But can you kill me?" Ye Han's arrogant words made the white-clad young man's face look even uglier.
"Ah!" Ye Han sighed slightly. He didn't want to kill anyone today, but some people were just asking for it. "Since you won't make way, I have no choice..." Before he finished, Ye Han moved swiftly forward. Those surrounding him only saw a blur before they were sent flying. When they landed, the last thing they saw was their young master, now held aloft by the seemingly frail man.
"What...ugh, what do you want to do?" the white-clad young man asked breathlessly, his face turning purple.
"If you don't get out of the way, I'll have to make you!" With that, Ye Han tightened his grip on the young man's hand and flung him towards the other side of the street.
Without paying further attention to them or the surrounding crowd, Ye Han walked over to Xiao Ya and said, "Let's go!" Then he turned into the crowd, walking away with Xiao Ya.
But shortly after Ye Han and Xiao Ya left, the young man flung by Ye Han began to bleed from his body, quickly staining his clothes red.
A few bold swordsmen approached and after a moment of inspection, looked at
each other in shock. "He's dead!" The simple words sounded like a thunderclap to the surrounding crowd.
Everyone stared in the direction where Ye Han disappeared, their eyes filled with deep fear. Just for a few words of disagreement, such a ruthless act was committed.
"What do you think?" On the second floor of a tavern by the street, Latitz asked Dolores, having witnessed everything that happened on the street.
"That man is very strong, and his attack methods are very peculiar," Dolores said, looking out the window.
"Not just peculiar, but without a trace of fighting spirit," Latitz frowned. The emergence of a powerful person made him feel uneasy.
"His strength should be similar to ours, both in the late ninth stage. But his control over energy is much stronger than ours," Dolores quickly shared his opinion.
"Oh? Why do you say that?" Latitz asked in doubt.
"You're a swordsman, so your use of mental power is naturally inferior to a magician's. From his first attack to his departure, I've been observing with my mental power. When he struck those men, he left a surge of energy inside their bodies, damaging their meridians and blood vessels. Can you do that?" Dolores challenged Latitz.
"This..." Latitz looked at Dolores in surprise, somewhat disbelieving.
How could they know that Ye Han's method was a technique from Yanyu Brain for controlling energy, an experience preserved from tens of thousands of zombies, incomparable to theirs.
"Ah, another strong competitor has arrived. The people from Fazong haven't appeared yet, and now there's another one."
"There are still many strong young people on the continent," Dolores said slowly.
Ye Han, leading Xiao Ya around the streets, was fine, but Xiao Ya, who had never seen the outside world, was curious about everything. Looking at the dazzling array of items on the carpets around them, the lively Xiao Ya kept moving from one thing to another, her happy expression bringing a smile to Ye Han's face.
Not knowing that buying things cost money, Xiao Ya just picked up whatever she liked from the carpets and walked away with it. At first, this caused some people to scold her, and Ye Han had no choice but to follow behind and pay.
Seeing more and more items in Xiao Ya's hands, Ye Han shook his head slightly. But he couldn't bear to interrupt her happiness. After about two hours of random wandering, Xiao Ya, her hands full, suddenly turned to Ye Han with a flushed face. "What's wrong? Are you still happy?" Ye Han asked.
"Happy, I've never been this happy before. But... I'm hungry," Xiao Ya said softly, almost inaudibly, but Ye Han, with his high ability, could hear her.
"Hehe... okay, let's go eat," Ye Han said, looking around. After spotting a luxurious hotel not far away, he headed there.
More than an hour later, the cheerful Xiao Ya and Ye Han in a black robe left the luxurious restaurant. "How was it? Did you enjoy the food?"
"Yes, yes, it was delicious," Xiao Ya, still immersed in the memory of the beautiful food, nodded.
"It's getting late, you should go back now," Ye Han said to Xiao Ya.
"Brother Ye Han, can I not go back?" Xiao Ya asked tentatively, reluctant to return to the desolate place she came from.
"This..." Ye Han was troubled by Xiao Ya's request. It wasn't safe outside. Taking Xiao Ya with him would be...
Seeing Ye Han's troubled expression, Xiao Ya said somewhat dejectedly, "I'll go back, but remember to pick me up early tomorrow, Brother Ye Han."
"Just go back for today. Tomorrow we'll buy a house, and you won't have to go back anymore!" Ye Han, seeing Xiao Ya's disappointed look, came up with this idea. But then he realized another problem.
He didn't have much money on him...
