As the faucet slowly rain a trickle of water, Ida placed her hands in it before moving them in her long hair. She slicked her hair back making sure to get every last strand until she was able to make a full ponytail. While holding her hair in one hand, she used her other hand's index finger and thumb to create a very thin string of webbing. Quickly and carefully in one swift motion, she sliced through her hair cutting the pony tail away from her head. A soft sigh left her mouth as she lowered her arms with the cut hair in gently gripped in her fist. She paused for a moment looking at the hair as memories of a pasted she long wanted to forget tried to force itself back, but faded away as she dropped the excess hair into the small trash can.
"I hate how it comes back that long," She muttered with exhausted annoyance. She then wet a comb and proceeded to fix her now short hair that ended roughly to her neck
Sitting the comb down, Ida placed both hands on the counter as she looked at herself in the mirror. While drops of beat rain from her head to her chin, she gathered her thoughts and spoke to her reflection.
"You're out of the woods but still in the fucking forest. She kept you alive, gave you a bath and some clothes to put on. This isn't some random place, this is her home. Outside is the dog of Elizabeth and you are pretty sure she's waiting on you to take you to another room of this house. So far no one has done or anything to you. But why?"
She paused as she tried to wrap her head around that one question. This bit at her like a mosquito each time. Each time she tried to come up with answer it still didn't sit right with her.
"It doesn't make sense. I should be dead after everything, but I'm still here with them and her," She pondered. "Could that useless trash be the reason why? No. She was caught off guard when she saw me."
Ida balled her fist up as she felt her frustration grow, but relaxed as she knew it was pointless.
"I would just have to find out later then," She muttered as she rubbed the water from her forehead. Her eyes then landed on the clothes that still laid neatly on the counter next to her side. "I better get dressed."
As she put on the pajama pants, she noticed how small and tight they felt. Yet when she went to stretch them out, they expanded and grew to fit her more comfortably. She also noticed the same exact thing happened with the shirt that at first barely wanted to go blow her chest, but gently moved down to her stomach.
"Could this be because of magic?" Ida thought as she examined her clothing. A look of surprise came across her face as she didn't know such a thing was possible to even this degree.
With everything pretty much taken care of, Ida went to exit the bathroom to see what else waited for her.
Waiting by the bathroom door with her eyes closed, Martha opened one eye to see her guess was finally done.
"Good. Follow me." Martha swiftly told Ida in a monotoned voice as she closed the bathroom door.
"Oh." Ida let out as she didn't ask any questions but followed behind her.
As they walked, Ida couldn't help but notice how short Martha was compared to her. While she stood at 6'6 feet tall (or 198.12 cm), Martha was about close to 6'2 (or 187.96 cm). She remembered when Martha was beating her, she was a littler taller then that. Yet what caught her off guard the most was this unnerving sensation to came from the shorter woman.
"By the Serpents, I've been around many beings that had this sensation but this is ridiculous." Ida remarked as she felt the hairs on the back of her neck stand. A small amount of sweat started to form while her hands and legs tensed as if they wanted her to turn and run for her away from the girl.
"I can feel her killer intent flowing off of her even though she doesn't have her aura showing. We are simply walking, but it feels like she could turn around, kill me, walk to her room without a care."
This thought made her swallow a bit as she kept pace with Martha a bit more.
"It's impressive. I only seen this with a few beings, but none as a passive hers." She thought as her mind began to think.
"This is the home of Elizabeth, huh?" Ida said trying to break the ice between them. She moved her head around taking in all the details and beauty of the house. "It's very cozy..don't you think?"
As she tried to talk to Martha, her voice fell on deaf ears. Martha just remained silent as Ida continued.
"Noth much of a talker I get that especially after everything," She said doing a nervous giggle. "I didn't expect to be in this situation either. Speaking of which do you know why Elizabeth is keeping me around?"
"...."
"I figured since you known her longer you would have an idea of why? I mean I would assume she keeps you around for her son and that useless bitch, but I could be wrong. Obviously that trash isn't strong and he's well not strong enough yet. I'm just lost on why is all. It would be helpful if you told me is all."
Ida paused in her talk to see if Martha would budge, but was answered by still silence. She exhaled from her nose as she realized her tricks weren't having any effects on the girl. She then smirked as another idea came to mind as she wanted to capitalize on her situation a bit.
"You are a tough one to crack. I can see why she keeps a loyal being like you around. Not many can keep a monster like us around their child. But let me ask you this then, Monster to monster, does he know you're one like us?" Ida asked seeing Martha stop all of a sudden.
"Perfect," She thought seeing as she might have gotten through to the girl. "I just need to apply a little more pressure."
"It would be a shame if..."
She started to speak but felt something hard and heavy hit her stomach. As she felt the air escape her, a shadow then loom over her. Before she realized what hit her or even fall to her knees she felt something pull her head up by the roots of her hair. She felt her stomach drop and fear engulf her as she was forced to look into Martha's now emerald green eyes.
"When did she move and hit me?" Ida thought as she could feel all the color leave from her body.
"If you finish that sentence, I will kill you." Martha told her.
While her voice was calm and lacked emotions, Ida could still feel the death behind each syllable. She felt Martha's grip tighten as she pulled her up closer to her face.
"If you so much as think to tell him, I will show you exactly what kind of "monster" I am." Martha stated as she stared into all of Idas eyes burning directly into her soul. "Understand?"
She then released Ida after making sure she got her message across. Taking a step back, Martha's green eyes reverted back to their hazel as she watched Ida look at the ground trembling.
"Good." Martha said as she opened the door to her room. "Now go sit on the floor and wait for my Mother to come."
Martha then took a step forward as she watched Ida stand up and quietly walk into her room. All the while watching Ida regret her idea to its fullest.
Sometime had passed as Ida sat on Martha's hard wood floor as waited for the inevitable to happen. Many thoughts played through her mind with how this conversation would go. She remembered rumors of Elizabeth, being ruthless and a feared woman every being knew not to be on her bad side of. How she could wipe out any race or creature with just a lift of a finger. Or worse. Yet with all the fear her mind focused on the interaction down stairs.
"Plan C is this," Elizabeth soft yet stern voice filled Ida's mind as she went back to that moment. "You give up your rights to me and become my summon. You will live but it will be under my control. Seeing you know too much and did this all on your own, Noone else will be told of this. Especially not Nobilisa Toda Stea. I'm sure she of all beings wouldn't be to please to her of this."
"Please no. I will sign or do anything, just please don't tell her," Ida begged as she felt her fear grow as her body began to tremble.
"Then we have a deal."
This was the last thought that played as she was brought back to the moment at hand. Her brows narrowed as her mouth frown as a sense of regret and humiliation showed itself.
"Nobi..." She whispered as she felt her chest ache from thinking about her.
Before she could soak in her feelings, she felt someone approaching the room as Martha raised from her bed to face the door. As the handled turned and pushed open, both women were finally met with Elizabeth Homes.
"Sorry about that. I was talking to the other two and explaining what's happening." Elizabeth calmly stated as she looked at her daughter, before looking at Ida. Her eyes to scanned the room for a brief moment.
Elizabeth forgotten how small her daughter's room due to Martha not wanting too much space. So seeing as there will be two beings living in here now, she needed to fix the situation.
"Sweetheart, I know you like how your room is but I'm going to have to make accommodations for our guest. Is that alright with you?" Elizabeth asked as she walked towards the center of Martha's room while still holding eye contact with her daughter.
"Yes momma. That's okay with me." Martha answered with a softness in her voice.
Ida whipped her head towards Martha noticing how she answered like a child to Elizabeth instead of a emotionless machine. A look of utter shock and confusion covered her face as she realized they were like mother and daughter.
"Thank you, sweetheart. I promise I would change much. I just need to make it more spacious for the both of you." Elizabeth added as she looked around a bit more figuring out the exact areas she needed to hit.
Upon getting the blessings, Elizabeth closed her eyes as she needed to visualize the room in her mind. Slowly placed her hands together as a white aura leaked from her body.
Ida watched in awe as the aura danced around Elizabeth began to expand outwards soaking in the wooden floor and ceiling.
"What is this?" Ida thought as she watched the foor below her glow along with each corner of the room. Her eyes then focused back on Elizabeth.
Carefully Elizabeth separated her hands and shift them as if she was holding out a box. She slowly pulled at the sides of the box at which the room started to expand outwards by a few inches.
Ida watched as the room extended more length wise as new pieces of wood appeared out of thin air feeling in the spaces of the messing floor boards. She noticed that dressers and stands that rested against the walls moved with the walls as well. Even noticing how Martha moved with the bed as the room did.
Elizabeth had turned her daughter's average bed room into a much more spacious master bedroom within moments. However she didn't stop there. With the box still in her hands, she shifted them to where they rested on top and bottom. Using the hand that was on top of the box, she began to extend the ceiling out. What went from a standard size ceiling soon became a very open and spacious area. After she was fully done, she wiped her hands away and let her aura fade into nothingness.
Both Ida and Martha looked around the now spacious room. Ida was the most surprised by the sudden change and how breathtaking it was to experience and see.
"It's not much. I just expanded and extended the room for the two of you," Elizabeth said looking around at her own work. "Everything is pretty much the same. Just big enough. The closet is extended more so both of you can put clothes in. Oh and I put a ring of magic around the ceiling so it counters the gravity so things can be put up there and won't fall. Like a dresser, stand, lamp. He'll even your hair and clothes wouldn't be pulled down."
She finished with looking at Ida directly. She smirked at seeming the young spiderkin still in awe at what she accomplished. Taking this moment, Elizabeth walked towards Ida and crouched a few feet from her.
"I did that so you can have your own space since I know while some Spiderkin don't mind sleeping on beds, most don't mind sleeping in their own webbing. This will also allow you to have your own space as well." Elizabeth told her with a small smile. She then looked down at the clothing the young woman had on. While she could still see the markings on her chest and body, she was more so focused on the girl. "I hope the clothes are to your fitting as well."
Her niceness took Ida off guard for a moment. She didn't know what to say to Elizabeth and almost told her "thank you" for this, but felt sick to her stomach at everything. Yet, looking at this woman she couldn't help but feel a sense of safety and protection from her. She saw in Elizabeth's eyes a calm and easy feeling. As if she was not going to hurt her, but they were offering help.
"Why?"
The only word to leave Ida's mouth about everything that's happened so far and kept clawing at for answers.
"Oh. Because I knew you wouldn't fit Martha's or my clothes off the bat, so it helps with b-"
"No!" Ida interrupted Elizabeth as it wasn't what she was asking for. "Why are you being nice to me after everything I done? And why am I still alive?"
Ida felt her blood began to boil as anger painted her face. She used her clawed hand to point at herself. "No being does anything without wanting something in return, so why are you doing all of this?"
"Because I can do whatever I want." Elizabeth bluntly told her as the kind and caring look on her face, turned into a more serious and stern look. "I don't want your money, your body, or anything you could possibly have. You are a speck compared to everything else."
Ida's mouth drop when she heard Elizabeth call her this and felt her blood boil even more. For a brief moment, she felt her clawed hand shoot up at the woman as two words left her mouth.
"Fuck you." She yelled but felt a cold grip grab her mouth.
The arm she felt shot out at the woman felt lighter as nothing made contact. Yet fear and pain slapped her in the face.
"Tsk. Tsk." The words left Elizabeth's mouth as she held Ida jaw tightly and felt it crush under her weight as she moved Ida's now removed black exoskeleton arm back into view of the girl. Without so much as tensing a muscle, she pulled Ida bottom jaws off as if it was paper to her.
"Such a foul mouth." Now holding the girls jaw in her hand before crushing it into a chunky goo of green blood. She then grabbed the girl by her throat crushing her wind pips in the process. Looming over her victim, Elizabeth cold eyes stared at the girl as she shovered Ida's dismembered arm down the girl's throat.
Snap.
Ida heard the snap of fingers and looked up to see she was still sitting on the floor, she looked down to see her body was intacted and no pain was there. A cold sweat covered her face while her breathing became heavy as she wasn't sure what just happened.
"I was just...Did I imagine that whole situation.." Ida asked herself as she looked up to see Elizabeth was still in the same position and had the same exact look on her face.
"It was your imagination," Elizabeth spoke up as she could tell the girl pictured what would happen if she stroke at her. "And let me tell you. That's one of many was I would could kill you if you tried anything like that."
A cold chill went down Ida's spine as she felt how cold Elizabeth's words became while her eyes remained cold and focus.
"As I was saying," Elizabeth said as she regained her focus. "You are a speck compared to everything else, but I wanted you." She finished where she left off.
"While you did hurt my friend and my son, and I am rightfully anger about it, I am keeping you alive because you have something I want. And with you as my Demi-partner, you can't leave my sight nor run off to run and tell people about his existence. You are stuck with us for a damn good while or until you runout of your uses. You are also alive, because I want you alive. Unless you want to kill and erase for good?"
Elizabeth paused for a moment to see if the girl had anything to say or if she was going to change her mind.
Ida thought about it for a moment, and as much as it would be easy to leave this hell, part of her didn't want that. So she shook her head.
"Then why are you being nice to me?" She asked in a defeated voice. Before hearing a soft giggle escape Elizabeth mouth.
"Child. I am not the American prison system or a monster. As long as you are in my house and under my wings, you will never know hunger and thirst. You will have a shelter to rest your head and possibly grow. Also I won't allow anything to hurt or kill you if it is within my power to prevent it."
Elizabeth paused again as her eyes looked up for a moment. "Think of it like this. I am your ruler, and you are my subject. Anything you do is reflected back to me and vise versa. I wouldn't do anything to have you stab me in the back later on. But you are not excused from your crimes. Within my house there are rules and you will follow them."
Ida thought about it for a moment, but sighed. "Even in hell, there's a paradise." She remembered her sister telling her this.
"Alright first and foremost, Martha will be watching and making sure you do what I tell you to do if I'm not around." Elizabeth started while pointing back towards her daughter. "She is your guard, chaperone, and punisher if you step out of line. If I have to step in if you become too much, I will kill you. So best to listen and do as she says. She will not do anything that will go against me an anyway. So don't worry about her abusing her power and anything like that."
"So wait if I have a question or problem, do I come to you or her?" Ida asked taking in the information.
"Both or whoever is available at that moment. Which leads us to number 2," Elizabeth said as her face became more serious. "You will not interact with my son or be near him by yourself at any moment without someone there."
A low huff escaped Ida as she looked away from Elizabeth for a brief second. "Kinda too late since I already tasted his seed-" She thought to herself before feeling a cold hand around her neck.
"Don't test me child." Elizabeth coldly told Ida as she applied pressure to her neck nearly creaking the black parts. "If you so much as think of him in that way or anything else, I will kill you."
As she started to grasp for air, Ida quickly spoke up. "Hallways. What about hallways or if we are in the same room or so?"
"Don't worry about that. I have a plan in motion." Elizabeth said slowly taking her hand away and watched as the girl rubbed her neck. "But I know about the moments where you two will inevitably run into each other or in the same room. If noone else is there you will leave, unless he specifically speaks, ask you something, or invites you into the room with him as well. If yall are in public keep your distance from him, and mostly that's where Martha and I will step in."
"And lastly respect my house, my basic rules, and everyone else. You are not a child, so I don't need to explain or give you anything else." Elizabeth finished as she stood fully up. "Those are the 3 rules so far. Most of the rest will come as time goes on. You play nice and keep your head down, this will go smoothly for everyone."
With nothing else to say, Elizabeth looked towards Martha and gives her a nod. "It's been a long day and I'm going to call it a night. Goodnight, sweetheart. I love you."
"I love you too, momma." Martha said as she got up and went to give Elizabeth a big hug.
"And I love you more," Elizabeth said squeezing Martha a bit in her arms and ever played in her messy long hair. "Do try to get some rest we have a big day tomorrow."
"Yes, ma'am." Martha softly said letting her mom go.
Elizabeth sighed as she looked back towards Ida still sitting on the floor with one hand holding her neck. She noticed Ida angrily look around for a bit but didn't say anything. "I will see you in the morning as well."
"Yeah. Yeah." Ida muttered as she couldn't look directly at Elizabeth herself.
With a shake of her head, Elizabeth took her leave and left out the door.
Ida looked towards the door and waited a second to make sure she was out of Elizabeth's ear shot. And exhaled.
"I can't believe that bitch had the audacity to put her hand on me," Ida let out as she allowed her anger to escape. "Stuck in the house with all of them and being babysat but some mutt on top of it. Fuck. This is bullshit."
She finally got to her feet and paced a bit. Before turning around to see Martha staring at her with a blank expression.
"Oh what? You're gonna kill me for speaking my mind, Mutt?" Ida asked snapping at Martha who turned around to go back to her bed.
"Just keep it down," Martha told her as she crawled into her bed.
"Kiss my ass," Ida told her as she leaped onto ceiling and started to make herself a hamock with her webbing. "At least that bitch could have done was give me a blanket and a box of cigarettes before leaving out of here"
As if on que, a neatly folded blanket and a box of cigarettes would appear on her webbing with a note on it. Seeing the box of cigarette Ida, read the note before tossing it to the foor. She let out a yell before going back to making her own webbed hamock.
On that note it would read "From Bitch".
