Chapter 18 - The young master.

"The elves and dark elves have always been enemies, fighting for both land and resources, it was survival of the fittest at that time.

But you see, our race was one of the most fragile races, back when we were ruled by the demon Lord Valamos, no one dared defy him.

He made sure, both the dark elves and elves were enslaved, our men were killed and women were sold as slaves.

To escape that faith we came to an understanding that we would work together with the elves and defeat the demon Lord, or atleast escape his reach.

That was when we had help from one of the dwarfs working for the demon Lord, he told us about a divine beast somewhere around Rizaha, so we traveled here.

We begged the Divine beast to help us and it did, it defeated the demon king and didn't ask for a price in return, all it asked was for us to not disturb it while it was asleep in the rock."

Explained Giron to Luminis.

"So basically, the big bird helped you and you decided to take it as your god?" Luminis asked.

"That's about the gist of things," Giron replied, "Both the dark elves and pure elves decided to put away our differences and work to stay together, unlike other elves, we don't exactly have anywhere to go."

Luminis gave a low grunt, stealing a side glance at Elixa, who was still standing at the entrance of the room with a smug expression on her face.

'This cute girl is the same monster that tried to wipe out a whole race? I guess it's true when they say looks can be deceiving'.

Luminis gave out another sigh, suddenly, he recalled something,

"Wait… if she wanted she would have killed me, or any of you guys too, i've been asleep for days, does that mean she has forgiven you?" He asked.

"Well… eh…" Giron mumbled with a weak smile, showing that even he was quite confused about Elixa's actions.

Slowly, both Luminis, Alpha and Giron turned their stares towards her, their eyes practically begging for her to answer as if they were suspicious.

"Oh please, you said it yourself, if I wanted to I would have killed you in your sleep." Elixa spoke, her eyebrows frowned a bit.

"So? Why didn't you then?" He asked.

"Yeah, what master said!" Yelled Alpha trying to show her support even though she was completely oblivious to everything.

Right on cue, a devious smile showed on Elixa's face before she responded,

"Sorry, I don't feel like saying right now, but..

If you commanded me, I guess I'd have no choice but to comply." She uttered teasingly.

Luminis stared at ther for a while, before a deadpan expression showed on his face and he raised his right hand.

"Sorry, I'm not into role play."

"That's not what I'm talking about!!!" Elixa yelled, her eyes widened in frustration, "Honestly, why is someone like you…"

She muted, staring at Luminis for a while, and then, a small smile formed at the side of her lips.

"Simple, you defeated me, a divine beast of all things, I simply found you worthy to be my master".

"Are you sure it's not role play?"

"I'll murder you." Elixa spoke with a smile on her face.

"Well that is no way to talk to your master now is it?" Luminis replied with a smug expression on his face, leaning back while his eyes were fixed on her.

"Sorry… I should have handled that better…" Elixa moved her hand towards the opening on her gown and began pulling it up more, high enough to show her thighs,

"Do you forgive me now?~" She purred.

Luminis fought hard to look away, but his eyes couldn't help but keep turning towards Elixa, well that was until Alpha stepped in.

"Leeech!!!"

Yelled Alpha, leaping forward from the ground where she was and covering Luminis's eyes with both her hands.

"Hey! Alpha!"

"Alpha isn't listening, why are you lusting over fire lady!!,"

"The fuck?! I wasn't…lusting."

"Lier! Alpha saw you!".

"Pfft! Hahahahah!" Elixa began laughing, tears hanging at the side of her eyes.

Finally, Luminis was able to get Alpha off him, but only to meet Garion already standing close to him.

"Traveler." Garion called out, "I'd like to ask you a favor".

Luminis expression changed a bit, almost like he could tell what the old man was about to ask of him.

"What do you need… if it involves money then I humbly decline".

"Oh, it's nothing of the sort." Garion managed to say that with a soft smile, taking a deep breath, he resumed.

"Would you be willing to take on the role as the acting chief of this village?".

"Uhn?" Luminis blurted out as soon as he heard the question, but he didn't stop there.

He moved Alpha to the side, his eyes now fixed on Garion with a serious expression on his face,

"I don't think I made this clear, but I guess this a good time as any, the only reason I helped you was so you could help me with food so I can continue my journey towards the city, I have no intention of staying in the forest with all of you".

"I see.." Uttered Garion with a sad expression on his face,

"It's just, this body of mine… can hardly keep up with me anymore, as you saw, I could barely control my own son, I can't keep looking after them, they need someone who is dependable, wise and capable of leading them to paradise".

"Then why not ask the god you once served, she's standing right there." Luminis pointed at Elixa.

"Oh me? Yeah not happening." Elixa replied, carrying her common nonchalant attitude with every word, "I told them, I won't be leading since I am yours already, at least not without you supervising".

"Oi!"

"I guess it's okay, I'll try to tug it out for a while, but I'm sure they will be disappointed, the traveler was another beacon of hope for us…. I deeply appreciate your help." Garion spoke with a smile, about to turn around and leave the room when he suddenly heard Luminis voice.

"What the hell…" Mumrreed Luminis as he stood up from the bed, walking towards Garion and placed his fist on the old man's chest.

"Remember… you asked for this… and I'll make sure you lots pay me for the extra work".
