Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

Alpha Agi

The smell in the air was thick with sweat.

"Again!" I growled frustrated running my hand through my air.

We were training in the arena and no matter how hard I tried my wolf was restless distracting me alongside.

The three men circled round me like hungry wolves keeping a firm stance.

The first attack came from the left which I blocked out with my sword we sparred three against one.

Which wasn't difficult for me but today my head was a bit cloudy.

In unison the men charged at me three swords against mine I held them for a while but then Zane pulled away attacking me from behind his sword at neck point.

A smirk grew on his face fueling my frustration but I knew no matter how many times we tried today they were still going to win.

I dropped my sword as a sign of surrender and the men stepped back.

"You okay?" My Beta Zane asked and I threw him a glare.

It was obvious I wasn't 'okay'.

My mind and body felt meters apart and I was struggling to be on both sides of the boat without drowning.

"Let's call it a day shall we" I announced and everyone nodded their head in affirmative not like any of them could challenge my authority.

The arena began to empty out except one his scent lingered in the air and I hated it.

"What is it Zane" I question grabbing a water bottle and took a long gulp.

"I should be asking you" he countered.

"Alpha are you okay?" he quickly added.

My muscles clenched as I felt my wolf began to growl once again.

He was becoming restless as much as that would be a strong Alibi on a low rank battlefield but against strong enemies it could be my weakness.

It began after the night of the full moon when I shifted without my consent my wolf ran growling and howling in the woods.

Luckily there was no one there cause I wouldn't be able to control myself.

I met the seer with hopes she would find a remedy but instead she made my situation worse.

'In nature's grand design, where wonders unfold,

A seer's wisdom, mysteries to behold,

Agi, listen closely, to this tale I weave,

In nature's embrace, your answers conceive.

Amidst the rustling leaves and babbling streams,

Where sunlight dances in a realm of love,

The secret of your downfall, Agi, lies concealed,

In Earth's ancient patterns, it's slowly revealed.'

When I asked what she meant all she did was look at me sympathetically and told me to be careful that the enemy was closer than I thought.

And for the first time in years I felt FEAR.

"I'm fine its just-

"Alpha" a voice called out cutting me off.

We both gazed at the entrance a guard dressed in their red attire with the pack's logo by his right arm approached.

"There is an intruder" he declared openly.

My lips immediately curved up to a smile swiftly I tipped the blade underneath my feet then caught it mid air.

Fuck the sparing I've been craving this blood lust for a while now.

"Hope who ever it is has a death a wish" twirling the sword in my hand I admired the blade then shared a knowing look with my beta.

"Where is this intruder you speak of" I asked the guard who's demeanor was breaking.

His Adam's apple bucked not daring to say a word he pointed towards the exit.

"Lead the way" my beta said breaking the tension.

We walked down the tunnels to the hollow grounds of the dungeons.

The stench was vile but it didn't seem to bother me any more.

I was used to the sight of blood and the screams these walls held since I rendered judgement myself than having my guards and warriors do it for me.

"She's in here" the guard finally found his tongue.

In unison Zane and I glanced at each other skeptically.

It's been unheard of a female dared attack my pack.

My blood taste somewhat diminished then curiosity took over.

"She was caught sneaking into your quarters"

That was the bloody top floor how was she able to bypass security.

"Where were the guards in duty when this took place?" my beta voiced out my silent question.

"She didn't seem like a threat at first"

"That defines your first rule everything is a threat" I scrowled and he nodded his back straight and face firm.

"This mistake won't repeat itself" he promised.

"For your sake I hope it won't" I shouldered the blade though I kept it close intrigued by who she was.

We stepped through the door to a girl lying on the floor her hands and legs chained and her hair covered her face.

"Arise wolf" I said in my Alpha tone but she made no move to stand. I cocked a brow wondering if she was still alive then stepped forward.

Slowly I pushed her hair to the back of her ear.

Fuck! She was pretty.

I touched the side of her face gently she was still alive much to my relief she coughed out warming up in my hand.

She fit so perfectly then slowly gazed at me with the prettiest blue eyes I've ever seen.

Then she cowered hit her back on the wall shielding her face from me.

I wanted to assure her I wasn't going to hurt her but I stopped myself she was still a threat.

"Agi do you hear that" My beta looked at me horrified.

I gazed up at him wondering what the fuss was about since the dungeon was dead silent,

and that's when it hit me like a pile of bricks.

I sucked in a breath stepping away from the petite girl.

A heart beat.

My hands clutched at my chest, my once dead heart began to race.

In fury I walked up to the girl holding her hand and forcing her to look up at me

"Who the hell are you!" I screamed in her face.

Mate!

The response came from my wolf.
