The bodyguard was about to make a move when a cold and powerful voice suddenly came from behind the door.
"Who dares?"
Jael Sweeny ,wrapped in a chill,appeared at the door. His eyes were sharp as a blade as he coldly looked at the two bodyguards. Besides Cate.
The two bodyguards suddenly felt a chill down their backs and silently stepped back.
"Sweeny, why ate you back?" Jael's mother saw that Sweeny's face had suddenly changed and smiled kindly. "Did you forget something?"
"Mom!:Jael Sweeny interrupted her with a frown and walked over to Cate.
Looking at Cate messy hair and slightly swollen cheeks,he frowned slightly.
Cate's heart trembled as she met Sweeny's slightly gloomy gaze.
But before she could speak ,Jael's mother spoke up.
"Sweeny! Don't let this bitch cloud your judgment!"
"Mom,Cate I'd my girlfriend now!"
"What?" Jael's mother looked at Jael Sweeny incredulously. Sweeny,do you know what you're saying? This bitch cheated on you and betrayed you before, and even stole company secrets. Why are you protecting her now?"
Jael Sweeny's face darkened, and his wounds were re-opened, making him feel like he was bleeding again.
He spoke in a low voice, "Mom, I have my own arrangements for these things. "
Jael's mother was unyielding. "Swee,you're too confused ."
"Mom!" Jael Sweeny looked her seriously and said, "I've said before, Cate is my woman now. I hope you won't do anything like you did today in the future. "
Jael Mu was so angry that she almost spat blood.
"Fine, fine, fine!" She said three times in a row, "Now that you have grown wings, I can't control you anymore! I'll say this now, you have one week. If you're still entangled with Cate, I'll cut off our mother-son relationship!"
Swee Mu left with her bodyguards in a fit of anger after saying this.
Robin , on the other hand, was furious when she saw Swee Mu leave. She had worked so hard to convince Swee Mu, but she still couldn't get rid of Cate!
"Swee ney," Robin hurried over to Jael Sweeny, "Don't be angry with your aunt. Everything she's doing is for your own good. As long as you break up with Cate, your aunt will..."
Robin was talking to herself, but she accidentally saw Jael Sweeny' s cold expression and his icy eyes, which made her stop talking.
"Cate is a bitch. She came back for your money. She just admitted it!" Robin couldn't stand his indifference and couldn't wait to expose Cate's true face.
Jael Sweeny''s expression was cold, "I know. Is there anything else you want to say?"
His reaction was too indifferent, and Robin was surprised and stunned.
"If there's nothing else, please leave!"
Robin couldn't believe that Jael Sweeny could remain so calm after hearing that Cate came back for his money.
She was so angry that her delicate makeup distorted her facial features, "Sweeny, Cate is only with you for your money! Wake up!"
"I know. So what?" Jael Sweeny''s voice was emotionless and extremely cold.
In an instant, Robin's expression shattered, leaving only shock. "So what?"
She couldn't imagine how calmly and coldly Jael Sweeny had said those words. In the midst of Robin's shock, Jael Sweeny slowly walked over to Cate's side.
"My mom did this?" Jael Sweeny looked at the swelling and redness on Cate's face.
Cate smiled faintly and remained silent.
"It's a serious injury, let's go to the hospital!" Jael Sweeny said, pulling her hand.
Their conversation and actions seemed to exclude everyone else,which made Robin feel provoked by Cate. Her eyes turned red, tears streaming down her face, and her clenched fists hung at her sides, filled with hatred.
"Cate, don't think that just because you've confused Sweeny, you can rest easy! Without my mother's permission, you will never enter the Jael family's door!"
Robin glared at Cate and ran away.
Watching Robin's back as she left, Cate's mind wandered. She didn't feel any joy from Robin's misfortune, only exhaustion and sadness.
In reality, in a certain sense, there was no possibility between her and Jael Sweeny. She had come back with an ulterior motive and was only using him. And he only had hatred for himself. Their situation was both ridiculous and pitiful.
But when she thought of Jael Sweeny's protection and favoritism, even if it was fake, Cate felt like her heart was being pricked by countless needles, making it hard for her to breathe.
"What's wrong?" Jael Sweeny asked when he saw her lost in thought.
Cate smiled faintly. "Nothing, I just think... it's a bit funny! And, I'm sorry."
Jael Sweeny suddenly froze.
He didn't know why Cate suddenly apologized, but the unmistakable pain in his heart made him realize that he seemed to care more than he imagined.
"Why apologize all of a sudden?" His voice was calm, but he seemed a bit displeased.
Cate lowered her head, unable to meet his gaze.
In Jael Sweeny's eyes, Cate's gesture of lowering her head was nothing but avoidance. Suddenly, he became irritable about her only saying half of what she wanted to say.
Suddenly, Jael Sweeny reached out and forcefully lifted Cate's chin.
His gaze was compelling, making Cate feel like she was being stared at by a fierce beast.
"If you feel sorry, then stay by my side and make up for it!" He suddenly leaned in, approached her ear, and whispered, "Use your body!"
Cate's body stiffened, and a hint of desolation flashed in her eyes.
Sure enough, he still cared, cared about her leaving without a word five years ago. With a bitter smile in her heart, Cate broke free from his grasp, turned her head, and met his gaze.
"Of course, after all, Mr. Jael gave me an allowance, didn't he?"
She smiled brilliantly, her disheveled hair falling messily behind her head, making her look like a beautiful mountain ghost from a myth, causing one's heart to sway uncontrollably.
However, the words that came out of her mouth were harsh, making her heart tighten.
Jael Sweeny's eyes darkened, and he grabbed her waist and kissed her fiercely.
He didn't think about her words, only feeling her lips and breath. Cate also co-operated very well, and the two soon became breathless.
In the eyes of Jael Sweeny, there was no longer any clarity, only the beautiful figure of Cate. He was like a starving wolf, pressing Cate onto the sofa behind him and kissing her even harder.
Cate was kissed so intensely that she struggled to catch her breath. Suddenly, she noticed Jael sweeny's injured hand propped up beside her head. She couldn't help but gasp in shock.
Quickly pushing Jael Sweeny away, Cate sat up and grabbed his injured hand, scolding him, "Can't you feel that your wound has reopened?"
Jael Sweeny was taken aback, looking at his left hand. Indeed, blood had already seeped out, and he only just felt a faint pain.
Cate felt both angry and amused. It seemed that men really were creatures who only thought with their lower body, not even realizing when their wounds had reopened!
