Chapter 8 - : Serpents Slither

Quinn was in a very tough practice with Ariel, in the garden time differs from time on Earth for this is a completely different realm. 2 hours in the subconscious realm is 2 minutes in real world, and Quinn has been in tough training for a week in the subconscious realm. A week of non stop training, even in his realm his body was experiencing some changes. His body was becoming more refined, his muscles tightening.

He had only practiced for 168 minutes in his real world, but the knowledge of his power he now possessed was greater than those who practiced for years. And he was only feeling a fraction of the real power of Light. That means, he has only practiced for 2 hours and 48 minutes in the real world. He still had time to rest before going to school tomorrow.

Ariel looked at him, 'This kid is not bad at all, if other spirits can see what's happening here…they'll all want to be inside of him. I'm glad he was chosen by Light, so much potential. When the day comes, let's hope he's the one who will survive.' Ariel uncontrollably chuckled for a bit, "Am I that weak to you that even sparring with me is like a tickle to you?" Ariel was surprised by Quinn's question, "Not at all, I'm just admiring how amazing you've grown to be in this last few hours."

'What a keen sense, I only chuckled for less than a fraction of a second. But he was able to pick up on that? Hmm, now Vassago your demise is inevitable. He will wash the evil away, talk about light at the end of the tunnel.' Ariel suddenly decided it was time for Quinn to rest, "Quinn, I think it's best you return to your own body and rest up. You're still a teenager and not resting well may affect how you perceive things."

Quinn was feeling kind of looked down upon, so he felt like this was a break he could use. "Okay, I hope my visit here was not for nothing." Quinn said as he bowed, Ariel laughed a bit, "How noble, your visit was not at all educational. I learnt something about a certain experiment that's been going on for decades, and I believe I am very close to reaching the correct hypothesis."

Before Quinn could even talk, he was back in his own body. 'What? How did I get back here so soon? Wait, she didn't really kick me out did she? Ohh yeah, she did. She first act all noble and treats me like a king, and today I get thrown out.' Quinn didn't believe how Ariel treated him, but he had to accept reality. He turned to the side, and closed his eyes getting ready to sleep.

When he was about to sleep, he heard waves in his room. He thought it was just a dream, until he opened his eyes and saw the ocean reflecting in his whole room. He thought this was a sight to behold, and was admiring the beauty of his room. He stood up and sat like he's in a meditative stance, "Huh, if only my room could stay like this forever. I'd be…huh!?"

Quinn was suddenly surprised when the waves' reflection suddenly took a manly like form, "What the hell is happening? Is anything that's normal even normal at all?" Quinn wanted to scream, but he also didn't want his parents to wake up. "Ska rasa monna, ke kopano ya bohlokwa ena," the human-like waves' reflection said. Quinn's jaws dropped open, he didn't know this language, but he can somehow understand deep within his heart what the figure said.

"Uhh, buddy…you might wanna talk in English, okay? If you are here to attack me, I'll cleanse you." The figure slashed out at Quinn tearing him to shreds, but healed him instantly after it did that. Quinn felt the pain for only about 0.22 microsecond, but he understood the difference in power between himself and the figure before him. He behaved well, "What do you need? If you aren't here to kill me, then what use am I of you?"

The figure went closer to Quinn, examining him, flying around him like a fish in the ocean. "O kgethile hantle monna yane, monna ntshale morao." Quinn once again didn't understand what was happening, he figured if he understood it…it's not enough, this figure will keep playing with him. "If you don't speak in a language I understand, then I'm going nowhere with you." The figure looked surprised, it's like it had Quinn under its spell, but Quinn broke free before it was more dire like it was meant to be.

It figured wasting time arguing and debating with Quinn was more dire than the situation at hand. "Follow…me…SHE…needs…to…meet…you." Quinn then followed the figure into the deep ends of the sea, what surprised Quinn was how he was in water but he was still breathing normally. When they were swimming for about 15 minutes, he could see a big palace from afar. 'What's this place? I sense a very powerful existence in there, who is it?'

Soon after landing in the Palace Yard, different kinds of small fishes were swimming inside.

But they all stopped when they saw a human, soon after seeing him. They all swam faster in his direction, Quinn thought this was his last day on Earth, 'It doesn't end like this, does it?' He closed his eyes and waited for death, but seconds have passed and nothing happened to him. He slowly opened his eyes, and saw the fishes swimming in circles around him.

"Hey, Mr…? Who are you? Mr. Waves? What is happening?" Quinn said so, slowly looking at the figure which emerged in his bedroom. "His…majestic…powers…inside…you." Quinn could understand the broken English spoken by this figure, he paid it no mind and looked at the palace in front of him. It was build with sea shells, and was very huge and built on a cave so that the voice can be heard throughout the ocean. It was built in place, where it was neither hot, or cold. But mild all year long.

The palace doors opened, and when the fishes saw this…they swam faster than they did when they were swimming towards Quinn. They were swimming towards the figure who opened the door, 'Who is this?' Those were the only words that came to Quinn's mind.

The figure who opened the door had a majestic aura lingering around her, that the fishes couldn't get enough of. She had beautiful hair that was flowing like a waterfall, and it was oceanic blue in colour. She had a golden dress, with patches of rainbow-coloured scales on it. Her crown was made from the bones of a Barracuda, that was pitch black in colour.

"Surface inhabitant, this is no place for your kind to be adulterating!" Quinn was shocked by the way this figure spoke, 'How fearsome, this voice is even scarier than the looks! What am I gonna do? What am I gonna do? Is this how I really die? This is bad! This is bad!' Quinn's voice was resonating in his head, he was too confused. "Surface inhabitant, in this garden Serpents Slither." After hearing those words, Quinn heard a loud screeching sound before he lost his consciousness.
