All their attentions turned to the new guy that entered the room. It was a small room and they were all enjoying themselves while chitchatting with a lot of alcohols on the table and girls beside them.
And not only Sam Halaand and his guys were here.
"Uh, who is this shrimp?"
A bald bulky guy asked with a funny tone. He giggled after speaking.
Sam stood up and walked towards Ethan, he lowered his head to whisper into the boy's ear.
"Hey, what the fuck are you doing here? Did I call you? Take those fucking weak legs and get the fuck out of this place."
Ethan could feel his heart tremble with fear, his eyes were round and almost giving in. He definitely would have given in but from his point of view... this was the motherfucker that killed his mother!!
Sam's response was a powerful blow to his neck.
Although it was still weak, it was the best blow Ethan had thrown in years. Sam stumbled back holding his neck and almost gasping for breath.
"This bastard!" He growled as he held his neck in pain.
The other guys immediately stood up and surrounded Ethan. They were different from Sam and his league. They had big statures and hands so wide that it looked like it can crush Ethan's head on one clench.
His eyes narrowed as he looked at them, a joy seeped into his heart, that he managed to throw a good punch for once but at the same time, fear overwhelmed the joy. How was he supposed to deal with these macho men.
Ethan clenched his fist tighter but before he could do anything, a large hand slapped his head to the ground, he smashed his head on the ground and began to bleed immediately.
He tried standing up but before he could, another hand swept in from the side, tossing him like three meters away from where he was standing before.
They were not awakeneds but against someone with a weak body such as his, we might as well call them awakeneds.
Despite his throbbing head ache and blurry vision, Ethan was trying to stand up again.
"This boy never learns ugh...hey Halaand, can I kill him?!"
"No! My father would kill me!"
"Fine, I'll beat the shit out of him then." The bald guy said and walked towards Ethan, picking him up.
He raised Ethan into the air with one hand and began to slap his face with the other.
The slap was more painful than the one from Halaand, it was burning, and his cheeks became sore after two slaps. Inside his mouth was hurting and bleeding. The guy did not stop and continued to slap him.
...until he passed out.
"Huh? Is that it? He's gone?" The guy said nonchalantly and dropped him to the ground.
"Playtime is over, everyone back to your seats..." The bald man redirected all the crowd with his hands, abandoning the gruesome sight of Ethan on the floor.
Even Sam felt a little pity for him this time.
"You silly brat. Why would you come all the way here for there measly punch to my neck..." He muttered as he cast a glance at Ethan and walked back to his seat.
'What is this?'
Even though he was unconscious, Ethan found himself somewhere else, it was dark and scary however in this darkness there was two source of light, one was blue, beautiful azure blue, while the other was purple.
Ethan's mind naturally drifted towards the blue one. He remembered very well that his mother used to love the color blue. She had even wanted to paint his room blue at a time and he had to go on hunger protest for her to change her mind.
Those were beautiful memories that were destroyed...
'...by these people'
Rage began to consume Ethan's mind just as he neared thr azure light, a red light appeared farther from the two. It was dazzling at the same time it reflected Ethan's emotions.
The flames of the red light were being reflected in his iris as he looked at it.
He drifted past the azure light and grabbed the scarlet one instead.
Like a response to his decision, a scarlet red energy suddenly exploded from his body and surged like flames. It gave everyone a scare and eyes were attached to him again.
Ethan slowly stood up from the ground, his eyeballs had sank inside and only his sclera could be seen. Moreso, he was covered by a surging scarlet aura.
All of them found this situation baffling. It was baffling because majority of the humans do not know about the existence of awakened.
Awakeneds have created and lived a life away from humanity. Hiding their powers from the human, whether it is protect them or to keep the humans from doing dangerous things. The reasons were unknown but it had been a policy that every awakened manage to always keep.
It was also the reason why Emilia didn't want choose a house closer to other people, so humans wouldn't know about their existence.
This spectacle was uncommon and it caused all of them to be speechless. The only thing they could relate it to was moves and it was pretty laughable.
However...
—
Deep inside the ocean, stood a solitary monolith, a steel structure amidst the endless expanse of the ocean's depths.
From the outside, it resembles a grim, fortress-like cylinder, its surface covered in barnacles and algae, bearing the scars of the relentless sea.
Thick chains, encrusted with rust, extend from the prison, anchoring it firmly to the rocky seabed.
A single pod, isolated and heavily chained, juts out from the prison's surface. Its exterior is a clear, reinforced glass that offers a haunting view into the watery abyss. The glass, once pristine, is now etched with the marks of countless decades spent submerged.
It was the unbreakable prison that held one of the strongest awakened in history, a history that was forgotten to even awakeneds.
Crack!
A small cracked appeared on the pod as it vibrated for a brief moment in response to something. This happened at the same time Ethan grabbed the red light.
—
Simultaneously,
Under the earth's surface, buried beneath layer upon layer of the adamantium sheets known, each layer a formidable barrier to the world above. From the outside, there is nothing to suggest the prison's existence. It's as if the Earth itself has swallowed this terrible secret.
The layers of metal sheets, cold and unyielding, were unmarked by any sign of entry. There are no seams, no hinges, no visible means of access.
Inside this subterranean tomb, was a prisoner, encased in a small, pitch-black chamber. The walls are composed of the same impenetrable metal as the layers above, creating an inescapable cage.
Chains, thick and unbreakable, crisscross the chamber, binding the inmate in a straitjacket of despair. Each link is cold to the touch, a chilling reminder of the isolation and hopelessness of the situation.
Suddenly at the same time Ethan grabbed the scarlet light, the chains began to vibrate, the vibration started off slowly but soon transcended into something that began to shake the entire ground of that area. However, it stopped after some time.
—
Lastly,
A grand, futuristic structure, gleaming with pristine white walls and sleek, metallic accents stood in stark contrast to the surrounding landscape.
Inside, the heart of this structure was a vast, cathedral-like chamber, bathed in soft, ethereal lighting. At its center laid a colossal, crystalline healing pool, filled with a luminescent, healing liquid that shimmers with radiance.
The pool is enclosed within an intricate framework of silver, resembling a sacred shrine.
Intricate cords, like delicate ropes of life, entered the pool, meant to deliver advanced medical treatments and vital signs with unparalleled precision.
Deep inside the pool was a man, at the end of the cords submerged into the pool. His white hair was fluttering within the water and he was seated with his kegs crossed and eyes closed.
However, they shot open as the man felt it too. The coming alive of the scarlet aura.
"My friend, you are back." He mumbled with a smirk on his face.
