Aizen never felt so happy before. He has 3 new skills as of now and it was still counting. More would be better as he imagined.
After burning the tents. The charred camp was what was seen. The smell of burnt skin wafted in his nose. Aizen went on his way toward the nearest village. As his memory of this map still functions, it was just near this camp.
He paved the path as he headed north. Several goblins were along the way and he saw more outposts. Spikes of wood were seen in their defenses.
Aizen attacked and used his shield to bash them. evading the strike of the club from the enemy. Several goblins attacked and their strikes were all evaded.
He leaped above them and made a death from the above attack and stabbed one goblin with his dagger. Pulling the dagger out, he then slashed the remaining enemies that defended their camp.
Aizen immediately saw more goblins that appeared as they exited the outpost. He then attacked them with his weapon. A sword on the right and a dagger on the left.
He was immediately surrounded by their numbers. They were twenty-plus all in all. He was attacked in all directions and then he defended. Slashing with prowess he countered their attacks.
He blocked one strike then kicked it in the chest. He then blocked another strike and slashed him with a rising slash. Diagonal towards the enemy.
Slash!
Aizen used his dagger and stabbed one goblin in the neck and then twisted it. Blood spurted out of its neck.
He was attacked on his back and then he leaped in a backflip. Slashing the ones that were there upon his landing on the ground.
Aizen immediately attacked more enemies as he dashed toward the fray. Making the enemies flee from him.
But Aizen didn't let them easily get away. He then attacked with his weapon and they were hacked on their backs.
Aizen killed more in the past inside the game. He felt like it was just natural as of now. He was a god-rank player in the past and has killed more than one can count. He was a merciless patron of death.
Immediately, he killed all that was present on the outpost and then he rested. After that, he drank water from his canteen. Minding it, it was about to run out. He needed to find a water source or he would die of dehydration.
He sat on one chair and then saw torches still burning. He then grabbed the torches and threw them into the tents. After he burned the camp, he proceeded his way.
More outposts were met along the way and he did the same thing towards them. He killed them all and burned them to the ground. Making him smile as he did so.
Even the bodies of the goblins were included in the fire. All smelled roasted flesh as he watched them burn.
Aizen then went on his way. From his location, it was only one mile to the next village. It was called a fishing village "Braun" as they were fishing on the rivers near the lake. Aizen went towards it and heard more cries of goblins in his surroundings.
As he expected, this place or location has many goblins infesting the nearby villages. He thought that many had already died fighting them off and they were only villagers. What weapons could they afford to fight them?
And so he traveled forth towards his next goal. And the place he would go was just near the goblin camp. The place must be infested by their numbers for many years from now.
And so he hurried. He passed by several broken carriages and saw that it was all looted. All have rotten corpses with them and broken crates. He managed to loot one health potion and stamina potion on one broken crate that was left.
It was looted but was not grabbed as it was accidentally hidden on the side. Maybe the looters were also hurrying up. The looters were also possibly goblins and may have made a mishap. It was an accident that Aizen benefited much from.
Aizen immediately put the two bottles of potions into his potion belt. Being a noble sure has its perks.
He then traveled towards his destination.
As he went forth, the wind blew bitterly cold. And it sent shivers down his spine. The wails of goblins bathed the surroundings and he didn't even have a torch with him. Only the moon was lighting up the darkness.
It was then, that he arrived in the village and the docks were silent. Animal sounds and frog croaks were heard in the surroundings.
Aizen saw that the place he had arrived at was not so good. He then saw a mysterious man on the docks and he was paddling a boat.
"Wanna ride? We will go to the fishing village shortly," the old man said to him.
"Sure!" Aizen replied.
He was flabbergasted that there was a person here in this rickety place. A dangerous place and he was solitarily waiting. Might be a good thing to ask him.
"Why are you here in these fishing docks sir? It is a very dangerous place," Aizen said as he scratched his chin.
"A very dangerous place indeed. But this is what I am doing for a living. Might suggest that to a more dependable person but we are barely having food. So I got to work. Well, this is not all, I have to buy food for us later on in the market,"
"You see, time has lost its essence. We sometimes forgot that it was day or night now as it was always the same whether we work or sleep," He coughed.
"Yep, you are right," Aizen went silent.
He and the boatman were traveling by boat toward the nearest village.
The waters were murky and the trees were dried up. Also, the howls in the wilderness were spine-chilling and gloomy. Hoots of owls sounded and they reverberated in the surroundings.
The boatman was paddling the boat with only a lantern hanging on the front of the boat. The man was aged and had a white mustache. He was only wearing a shirt and it was tattered from many years of usage. A dirty white shirt and tattered pants were his clothes.
The water sounded with every paddle of the boat. The man then coughed and asked, "What is your name?"
"I am Aizen, dear sir. Just a traveler and an adventurer," Aizen then smiled at him.
"I will warn you, son, there was a great evil that has befallen this land. It spread like a plague, devouring the once bright villages and settlements into something we have never seen before. The Braziers were put out one by one by mysterious entities," the old man paused and Aizen saw his sweat trickle down his face.
"You know the heroes, son? The ones that fought the evils? They all made a feast after they defeated the evils. But guess what after that? They showed signs of corruption and they slaughtered the people. Maybe the evils have corrupted them before their defeat! It was maybe the heroes that corrupted these lands. Once the Bringer of hope but now a Harbinger of darkness," the old man then gulped his saliva.
"Don't worry mister, I can protect myself," Aizen then patted his biceps.
"Haha! I see, I hope you survive. Many didn't survive to tell the tale after arriving in that place. As you see, that wretched place was teeming with monsters now," he said when they arrived at the docks.
"Well, wish me luck! I will go now," Aizen said to him. He went to take the first step on the docks. Making it creak in the process.
"Do be careful, well see yah!" he began paddling his boat and then went back. His face was expressing worries as it was illuminated by light.
