So here is the plan. I would knock Matt out and flee from our houses. Then Matt would make up a story about me lying to him about my sudden diarrhea or whatever sounded plausible.
It was a pretty good plan.
So I chose to go along with it.
"You'll be okay, right?" I asked him with worry.
"Don't worry. We'll make a scenario where you betrayed me, Ken. It'll be fine."
I grew hesitant for a while. And it caused another confusion for Matt.
"What's wrong?"
I shook my head and smiled.
"Nothing. Please keep everybody here safe while I am not here, Mattie. Particularly, Roman. I beg you." I said genuinely. Because Roman is still my brother. I wouldn't be able to see him getting hurt and not feeling the same pain either.
It was hard to leave this pack and him. But it was harder to live under his shadow as the Alpha's sister. Besides, I grew exhausted with their tyranny and cruelty.
