Days passed into weeks and weeks fled into months. I had been very impatient counting the days until I could meet our babies. I even found my new habit of checking the calendar every morning. Who knows counting days could be this fun?
Alice's pregnancy had turned nine months yesterday. It meant there would be only a few days left until her labor day. I should be ready whenever that alarms ring. Should I always be on the code red and stay around her all day?
Damn, how I wished to do that if I could.
But first thing first, I should buy the stuff my babies need. I had some time to do that today. So I drove straight home after my lunch only to pick her up and do some shopping for the babies together.
"Hey, Baby. Need help?" I said when I saw her was a little struggling tying the ribbon on the back of her dress.
She turned and looked at me while grinning.
"Yeah. Can you help me with this?"
