Poor Alice.
Her health deteriorated rapidly since her pregnancy began. It started with a simple morning sickness like vomiting and headache. But then the symptoms turned worse to the point she would throw up every time she smelled food. I couldn't understand the sudden shift in her body. But I guess pregnancy hormones did exist.
"Baby, I've made you chicken soup. Please eat some. You haven't eaten since morning." I told her while walking to the bed where she was lying lifeless.
"Chicken soup? You made it?" She asked, looking enthusiastic and seated on the bed.
A weak smile formed on her face as I was walking to her. I gave her a bowl of warm soup that I had made but the smell quickly turned her off.
"God, sorry, Harvey. I can't eat this. I wanted to vomit." She said while placing back the bowl and rushing to the bathroom.
