Chapter 8 - ☆ Chapter 6, Threat Now Found. ☆

"We are two travellers, sent by the Goddess for a big mission." Aster began to explain, but the girl grinned.

"Why would she...." Her voice trailed off as she saw the sword Aster had sheathed. "The Holy...Sword?"

"Yes, did the Goddess say anything about the sword?" Lily asked curiously.

"It is said that the one that holds the sword is the person that she has placed her final hope, authority and power within..." She closed her eyes, thinking. "Why are you travelling here?" She added.

"We need to gather materials from the next town over, if you could, may you tell us the way through?" Lily answered.

"Of course I shall, follow me." She now beckoned them to come along, as they walked down through the woods.

The woods were mostly trees, with a path cut out with diverging ways, rocks near the grass, and little rocks on the grass itself.

The grass was vibrant and cut short, the life here was blooming perfectly.

"You see, with the growing need for transportation to the next town...we have to tend and keep the forest, and its inhabitants safe." She began to explain, before suddenly, something approached them, like a shadowy figure, with armour on, and a dark spear.

"For...Rex... daemoniorum...!" He said perfectly in Latin, he recognised that word, it meant 'Demon King.'

"Whats the matter with him?" Lily said.

"What the!-" She began, suddenly summoning a Scythe as the strange being attacked her with his spear, a standard design, black mostly. The blade was normal metallic grey colour with a purple star symbol near the start of the blade with lines of the same colour going down to the part that holds the balde to the scythe.

"Everyone, prepare for battle!" Aster commanded, drawing his blade and running at the shadow man.

Lily blasted bolts of energy at it, harming it and giving Zoe a chance to slash the spear away, kicking him back.

Aster stopped as Lily suddenly yelled.

"I feel like I can..." She seemed drawn to the recovering shadow, placing her hand on his head, her hands glowing.

The man began to screech as the shadow seemed to melt off of him?

"There!" She gasped in joy as a man in dark, clad armour and a green hood covering his head so only the face armour could be seen appeared from the shadow. "He's...back to normal!"

"Wha..." He panted, looking up at them. "Where am I?! Commander Zoe?" He got up, stumbling.

"Your ok...I promise...just go back to the building...explain why you were like tahy to them, and then get them to write a report." She explained, authority in her voice as he nodded and scrambled off, leaving them to wonder.

"Whoever did that..." Zoe began.

"Will pay!" Aster finished.
