Chapter 9 - The Hybrid(blessed or curse) ---Chapter 9--- Journey to the center of the Labyrinth 2--

"Then I'm also sorry for this," Minos said.

"Full transformation!" Minos muttered, and fur immediately started to form on his skin. But within a blink of an eye, he returned to his normal form, furs nowhere to be seen.

Minos looked at the lady shockingly, who wasn't fazed by his expression.

"Just don't think of escaping. It won't work," she said before leaving the hut.

Minos gritted his teeth in frustration after trying to do a transformation of any kind, whether fully or partially.

"System scan activate." Minos muttered after multiple failures. Zing Scanning… Scanning… Scan Completed!

Name: Chains of Psylocke (Telepathic chains used to mentally capture the dark minotaur god "Decimus" in order for her to escape)

"System, can you free me from these chains?" Minos asked as he saw there was no discoverable weakness.

"Arrgh!!" Minos screamed as he realized that the system had abandoned him in this strange land.

The chains of Psylocke began to shimmer and broke into half, freeing him from the wall they were initially locked to, before disappearing.

Seeing this, Minos became happy and immediately muttered, "Full transformation," but nothing happened.

"Shit, my first transformation without the system." Minos cursed, as normally he just needed to mutter or speak and the system would do the rest.

He immediately remembered that he had the manual embedded in his mind. He started thinking of how to transform, and the information started flowing into his head.

So all I need to do is detect the power in my body, "ki," and spread it all over my body at once. Minos tried to memorize the instruction he got from his mind, getting more confused the more he tried to make sense of it.

What is ki? Minos tried to process in his mind, but after waiting for a while, he got no answer.

He tried asking the position of internal energy, but still got no answer.

Minos tried to process many other questions related to ki, but got no answer from the guide book embedded in his brain.

Later in the day, Minos got tired of lying down on the bed and decided to explore this place, as he had no thought of escaping. The map of the middle circle to the inner circle was in the system, and he didn't know how to activate it without the system's help.

Leaving the little cottage, he met the beautiful maiden who claimed to have saved him, about to enter the hut, holding in her arms new supplies. Seeing Minos moving about, she immediately dropped all she was holding in shock. But before they could reach the ground, Minos caught every single one of the items, handing them back to her. She seemed not to have recovered from the shock of Minos moving.

"H…how are you moving?" she stuttered, asking Minos, who casually replied, shrugging his shoulder, "By moving my legs, I guess."

"Anyway, lil miss, I'm starving. How can you claim to have saved me without giving me the proper nutrition to stay alive?" Minos asked with a hint of pride in his voice. He seemed to enjoy the look of shock she was bearing on her face.

"Erm, sure, I was about to do that." She regained her composure, giving Minos what was in her arms.

Thank God, I caught it before it fell. Minos said in relief, carrying the items and taking them into his cottage.

After unveiling, Minos was shocked that he recognized none of the items given to him as food. Minos decided to keep them in case they were something harmful to his body, since he didn't have the system to scan the food composition for him and he couldn't activate anything without the system's help.

Location::: Akkaba's clan Chief's chamber.

A room with its walls decorated with exotic animal parts. In the middle was placed a throne which was covered with layers of animal skins and on top were placed large horns.

"Great chief, the prisoner seems to be no ordinary man." Xin said in a kneeling position with her head bowed to the ground.

"How do you mean?" the chief asked in a lazy tone.

"Some minutes ago, I went to deliver the food you ordered for him to eat. As I was about to enter, I saw him at the door of the cottage, standing on his own two feet, even after immobilizing him with chains of psylocke." Xin said with her head still bowed.

"Impossible!" the chief exclaimed.

"That's what I thought too and wanted to alert the guards, but decided against it. I used my discerning eyes on him and realized that he hadn't broken free from the chains of Psylocke, but he had weakened the power of the chain more than half of its initial strength." Xin replied before stopping.

"No way! This man can't be human, even the great dark god couldn't accomplish a feat as great as this." The chief said, saying his thoughts out loud.

"So, master, what do we do?" Xin asked, awaiting orders from the chief.

"How long do you think it will take for him to break completely?" The chief asked.

"No idea, my lord!" she replied after a moment of silence.

"Listen carefully, I want you to inform the others that he's no longer our prisoner, but a honoured guest of the chief. And for you, I want you to get close to him and inform us if the seal gets any weaker. Also, try to find out who he is and if he has any special attributes. Also, make sure to add the special flowers to every meal he eats." The chief ordered in a low and calm voice, afraid this special guest would catch a glimpse of his plan.

"Okay, sire, I will make sure it's done as you requested." Xin said, bowing her head before leaving.

As she left the chief's chamber, she headed straight to the cottage where Minos was, but couldn't find him nor the food she brought for him. In panic, she ran outside to alert the chief's guards, but saw Minos up on the tree with the food in his hands.

Seeing her, Minos jumped down from the tree and handed over the food bowl to her. Xin smiled, looking at the empty bowl, took the bowl and moved towards her cottage.
