I think I've rested enough. Let's do this, Minos said, transforming his lower half into minotaur legs and starting his journey to the center of the labyrinth at lightning speed.
The labyrinth is divided into three circles: the outer circle, the middle circle, and the inner circle, which is known as "the center of the labyrinth". Minos sighed after reading the information the system had on the labyrinth.
According to the system's information, Minos was still in the outer circle and it would take him two days to travel between each circle. After traveling for a day and a half, the dull deserted look of the outer circle started to show signs of life as a few trees began to appear in his field of vision. Luckily, he hadn't faced any other monster after his battle with the ghost of Dario's past. Minos was tired and totally spent when he suddenly sighted a river not too far from him. Using the last of his strength, he ran towards the river, but something strange kept happening: the faster he ran, the further the river went. Becoming frustrated, he activated partial transformation on his legs and ran with all his might towards the river, but no matter how he ran, he seemed to never be able to catch up to the river. At the brink of giving up, he sighted a bridge that was covered with growing grasses and shrubs.
It must be the bridge to the middle circle. Minos muttered as he moved towards the bridge. The moment his leg touched the bridge, he felt immense pressure on his mental self. Persisting, he walked a few steps forward. Every step felt like hell to him as he felt his body losing strength fast. A few steps away from the end of the bridge, Minos was almost losing consciousness, but he gritted his teeth and kept pushing forward until he reached the middle circle.
The middle circle, unlike the outer circle which was just a wasteland, could be called paradise as it seemed to flourish more than an actual forest. It was filled with green plants and trees. Minos lost consciousness immediately after crossing the bridge as his mental self still felt like it was being attacked and the force just happened to worsen after crossing the bridge.
***** Back to Earth***
So you're trying to tell me that you haven't been in contact with the chairman since the party? Luca asked Lin Chu, who was strapped to a chair for the umpteenth time now.
S…Sir M…Mr Luca,I…I wasn't even in class the last time Minos attended school. I was at home. Please believe me, Lin Chu said stuttering as tears rolled down his cheeks.
The word on the street was that Minos went on a stroll after class that day and never came back. It had been almost a week now and Mr Luca, using the power of the vice chairman of Rexxon, had already arrested the Chus and brought them to his private torture house where they were tortured day and night.
It had been two days now and the Chus seemed to be truly clueless about Minos's whereabouts. Luca thought, raking his hair in frustration.
You over there, he signaled a guard standing by the front gate of the torture house.
Release the Chus; it seems they truly aren't part of this. Luca ordered, putting his hand into the pocket of his coat and bringing out a lighter for his cigarette.
***Labyrinth***
Minos opened his eyes and was welcomed by an unfamiliar sight. He quickly sat up and realized he was no longer in the forest. It seemed like he was in a hut of some kind as he carefully inspected the roof and realized it was made of straw grass. "I see you're awake," a voice said, interrupting Minos's inspection. Turning his face, his eyes locked onto one of the most beautiful girls he had ever seen in his life. She had a well-rounded face with a fair complexion, medium-sized breasts, and a nice backside. She was what Minos would call a godly work of art.
"I'm sorry, I saw you in the forest and it seemed like you were attacked by the spirit of the forest." She said softly, approaching Minos, who just realized he was restricted by chains on his arms and legs.
"So, what's with the chains?" Minos asked.
"I'm sorry, that's the only way I could bring you back to my village." She apologized.
"Eyo, it seems you're awake." A baritone voice came from the door. At the door stood a huge man with a scarred face, bulging muscles, and no hair.
"Please get these chains off me." Minos said, looking at the huge muscular man and the pretty damsel.
"Eyo, no can do, son." The bulky man said with a smirk on his face.
"And why is that?" Minos was quick to ask.
"Have you ever heard of the word 'prisoner' before?" The man asked.
"Baldy, I'm no man's prisoner." Minos said, releasing a strong aura.
The bald man looked at Minos and laughed out loud.
"I'm sorry, kid, we saved your life and that's the only way you can repay us."
"I never asked you to save my life." Minos said as he was sure that even if they hadn't found him, his recovery state would have activated and healed him or his system would have found a way to block the pressure. Either way, he wasn't going to die.
"You ungrateful scum!" The man spat, rushing over to Minos, grabbing him by his neck and about to punch him. But he stopped as his hand was held by the lady who couldn't watch her patient get busted up again by this man's ego.
"I'm sorry, Lady Xin." The man quickly apologized, seeing the intense glare from her.
"Leave!" She immediately ordered and the bald man hurriedly left. This action really surprised Minos as he was already preparing to counter the punch from the bald guy.
"Xin is it?" Minos asked but got no answer from the damsel.
"Please let me go. I'm kind of in a rush. I need to be somewhere by now." Minos finally said in a very humble tone.
"I'm sorry, but you already heard him. The decision is not for me to make." She finally said after a while of silence.
"Then I'm also sorry for this." Minos said.
"Full transformation!" Minos muttered and fur immediately started to form on his skin and…
