Chapter 19 - Chapter 19 - Confrontation with Selene

Ivar smiled, happy with her intelligence; after all, the smarter his servants, the better they could serve him.

"Smart girl. Assuming your sister looks anything like you, I'll greatly enjoy both of your bodies, but you're right. My ultimate plans I will have to keep a secret from you for now, but for starters, I want to rule this city.

And I think that, considering my particular skill set, the best way to do that is by starting from the criminal underworld, which your Sanctuary is a part of."

Alita stopped what she was doing and looked surprised, "A- Are you sure?"

Ivar raised an eyebrow, "Oh? No faith in your master?"

Quickly backtracking, Alita stammered, "No! T- That's not what I meant. I just thought you would want to keep a low profile, considering your- I mean our race?"

Ivar nodded, "Fair enough, but no, I'm a little different in that regard. Now finish up down there, and we will get started on teaching you to turn back into human form and absorb energy."

Alita giggled as she gave his ten-inch cock a long lick from base to tip and said with a wink, "I think there are plenty of things you are different in."

Ivar actually had to control himself so as not to push her down again. He couldn't just have sex all day; he had a world to conquer! This minx might turn out to be trouble…

Before moving on, however, he had a question for her aswell, "If those were all your questions, then how about you tell me why those people were after you yesterday?"

Disappointed he didn't push her down again, but being done cleaning him, she hugged his body and shook her head, "I don't know, Master. I know they were from a rival gang by their tattoos and clothing, but I don't know why they were after me specifically."

Ivar looked at her strangely, "Wouldn't the fact you are sister to Sanctuary's leader be enough of a reason?"

Alita nodded, "Normally sure, but that is exactly why almost no one knows I am her sister. To most people, even within Sanctuary, I am just another member."

Ivar looked impressed, "Smart girl, your sister. Assuming she was the one to suggest that. So how did you end up in the situation I found you?"

Anger flashed across Alita's eyes, "I followed up on a tip from someone I thought I could trust. She is head of security in Sanctuary and sent me to follow up on a tip she said she got from interrogating a prisoner."

She sighed, "My sister didn't want me to go alone, but I was stubborn. It wasn't long after leaving Sanctuary that I was ambushed.

I am not weak, as both my sister and parents taught me to fight, but I was up against three cybernetically enhanced men while my gun had stopped working. I stood no chance."

Ivar looked thoughtfully, "Do you think your gun jammed by accident?"

Alita shook her head, "I don't know. I asked the person responsible for our gear, Juno, to give it a once-over before I left, but I really don't want to think two people, instead of one, betrayed me.

Then again, it would be easy for Andra, as head of security, to access my gun while it was with Juno, so that is a possibility, too."

Ivar nodded, "I see. Well, we will find out the truth and get revenge." Then he grinned, "Or should we thank them? After all, they caused you to end up with me."

Alita punched his chest, "Don't you dare! I'm happy where I am now, but I want revenge!"

Ivar smiled indulgently and kissed her forehead, "And you shall have it."

A few hours later, Alita was practising what Ivar had taught her while he was scrolling through the store. After all, since he gained the pheromone skill, he had killed three men, made Alita submit and fucked her a few times, too.

Because of that, Selene had gained more energy, and he could now spend it on another transformation or ability. There were two things he wanted, so he had to pick carefully to make sure he had enough energy to get both.

Before making his decision, however, he needed to know some things, so he asked Selene, "Hey Selene, can you tell me a little more about the available skills and transformations?"

Unfortunately, he got no response, something that worried him a little as she had always responded immediately so far.

"Selene? Don't tell me you're still angry about before?"

All he got was a snort in return, causing Ivar to smile wryly. Had he gone too far? He needed to keep Selene a friend for now, so perhaps he shouldn't tease her too much.

He sighed, "Alright, Selene, I'm sorry. I was just teasing you. You are my amazing and beautiful equal partner. Would you please help me with this?"

He didn't enjoy apologising or saying please, but he knew when to take a step back.

Luckily, it worked as Selene appeared in front of him again, although she was still pouting.

She said, somewhat angrily, "Don't do it again! I am still a goddess, and you should be happy that I'm fine with considering myself your partner instead of your boss!

Admittedly, I decided on that partly because I observed you all your life and am perfectly aware that trying to control you would only have the opposite effect, but the fact is that I have respected you so far. I've been accommodating and helpful, and I want a little respect in return!

Ivar actually felt a little guilty. Had he truly been acting like a child and she as the mature one?

He sighed, "You're right, Selene. I'm sorry again. From here on, you and I are partners."

Selene smiled, apparently genuinely happy this was resolved, "Good! I want nothing more!" And then very softly said, "At least for now."

Ivar wasn't sure he really heard what she said, so he raised an eyebrow, "What was that last part?"

Selene quickly coughed to hide her slight embarrassment and answered, "Nothing! Now, what did you want to know about the skills and transformations?"

Ivar had to chuckle a little; he had to admit that, although he enjoyed teasing Selene, he wouldn't want to lose his current interactions with her. She could act a little childish, probably because she had had very little contact with others, but Ivar just found that endearing.

He answered, "I want to know about the transformations mainly; they give special abilities depending on the transformation, like my increased speed as a Gale Wolf, which also has some impact on my speed in human form.

But how does that work with my selective shift? Can I shift parts of my body to different transformations and then use all those abilities at full power while still having the human form versions of all my other transformations?"

Selene nodded, "Essentially, yes, although it will probably take some practice to shift your body like that. With enough practice, you may even be able to give yourself only the transformed ability without actually having to transform anything."

Ivar looked surprised, "That's… pretty awesome. And good to know I won't eventually become some patchwerk monster. Giving me selective shift from the start was a great idea, Selene; thank you."

Selene puffed out her chest, "Of course it was! I am a goddess, you know."

Ivar smiled, "Yes, yes, my awesome goddess partner."

Selene nodded, "And don't forget it again!"

Then she continued, "So, did you want to use the available energy to get some new transformations and skills?"

Ivar nodded, "After seeing some of the strange weapons the humans use and exploring some of the information you transferred to me, I realised I need a method to defend myself against their many ranged weapons."

He then indicated a particular transformation in the list and said, "Would this transformation's ability be able to stop bullets?"

Looking at the ability he indicated, she thought for a moment, then said, "It won't stop the larger calibres, nor will it hold for very long, but if you just want to use it to defend from short, lower calibre bursts as you close in on your enemy, then yeah, it should work fine."

Ivar looked happy, "Good! Then, can you give me that transformation and," he indicated another one, "this, too?"

Selene grinned, nodded and touched his forehead. Selene's grin worried him a little, especially since this was the first time he was gaining transformations and not skills, so he wondered if it would feel different.

And it did. He groaned in pain and sank to the ground as he felt like his bones and organs were rearranging himself. He felt as if his body was tearing itself apart from the inside, trying to somehow fit more into it than was physically possible.

Luckily, it didn't take long, but he noted that he shouldn't buy new transformations in a non-safe area. He looked a little aggrieved at Selene; surely she could have warned him?

She just grinned and said, "That was payback for earlier. Oh, and be sure to check your physical stats." Then she disappeared, leaving behind a disgruntled Ivar.
