Chapter 1 - Prologue

To others, Kyle was always shy and nervous. It was as if he had been in seclusion for many years, then suddenly forced to interact with human society. In Kyle's entire life, nobody had really liked him, except his close family. Most of his life had been spent without much human interaction with new people. Games were his solace, away from reality, where he could do whatever he pleased.

Recently, he had become attached to a new game. Called "Unnamed" by its developers, it was a fun and intriguing multiplayer game. People observing Kyle at this point could only see him doing less then 10 things per day: Sitting at his work desk with the melody of the rain or sun slowly driving him to just do enough work, sleeping, eating, showering, basic things, and sitting at his computer with a slightly cracked monitor and a RGB keyboard that only partially worked, playing games.

The rain was pacing down the window and creating a slow, dribbling melody that would help you fall asleep. Kyle smiled, and continued playing with the rain driving him. Across the window, he could see the family-run restaurant, still open, bustling with activity as people went in and out. Today, Kyle had decided. "I am getting the hardest achievement... tonight!" He had decided to pull an all-nighter, investing his time into it. Turning on the light desk lamp to his right, shuffling, it turned on, and more light flooded. He could see better now. With the rain, which always seemed to make him work better, this would be a great session.

...

Kyle had turned to watching videos and reading web novels in the midst of the night, as his progress wasn't going anywhere unless he waited for the final objective to spawn. Turning around, the clock with a slightly cracked edge said it was 1:30. "I need to use the restroom before the fight." Kyle would need to use the restroom, as the fight could take upwards of 45 minutes. Using the restroom, the fight had begun.

...

In the game, Kyle's character, a Level 85 wizard, was fighting a powerful monster. Chanting [Fire Gale], he had to constantly use [Gale Movement] to outpace the monster. The monster wouldn't be going down easily, either. Jumping up, he avoided a giant claw that had just hit below him. Hordes of weaker, yet still strong monsters were slowly heading towards him.

[Fireball] A few fireballs should hopefully wipe them out, but the boss used the delay caused by the spell to make a slash at Kyle. Barely moving away in time, the wind caused by the force of the slash pushed him away a few miles. The monster, in Kyle's opinion, was too strong. It was too powerful. One hit, and Kyle would be dead.

"I'm running out of mana!" Kyle had the critical realization he was running low on Mana, and knew he needed to finish the fight in one go...
