Chereads / MISCHIEVOUS PRINCESS / Chapter 12 - Unfolding The Uncertain

Chapter 12 - Unfolding The Uncertain

Alejandro thought thoroughly as to what Lellouch have shared to him. Everything starts to get clearer. It was a mystery when his mother and Marcus got into a plane crash more than twenty years ago and only the bodies of the pilot and his mother were found. Marcus body went missing still the investigation has not proceeded until now.

The disappearance of the real Fabian was a mystery as well. The old Magnus new that what he killed twenty years ago was not the real Fabian but rather an impostor. The memory was still vivid when the old man told him of what he discovered upon meeting the impostor.

"When the impostor Fabian was presented to me, my body did not glow like it used to be. Our family shared a unique connection that when we are reunited with our dearest for quiet sometime, we glow from the inside." The old man laugh, not regretting the thought of killing the impostor Fabian. Kind of creepy so Alejandro thought it was just a tease.

Now it make sense why Marcus asked him a huge favor before his flight with my mother. He knew something is going to happen to him.

"Please protect my child with all your life. He is still in the womb of his mother. I don't even know if he is really a boy but that child carries a lost civilization - a sunken heritage. If you already have him in the future, please protect him. Protect my child. This is not an order but a plea... "

It's not a simple matter why Lellouch became the target of a strongest Mafia in Mexico, the officials of the Underworld Society and even some officials of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. It's not just a coincidence. They were not after her wealth they are after her as a being.

Alejandro looked at Lellouch intently. He can't believe he is holding a huge price and a pain in the ass. His head started to ache again. Does she really has a blood of an Atlantean? If so, does it mean Altantis is real? How about the cellar? It holds a dark secret that only Felix and his wife knows about.

He massage his temple with right hand. He can't believe he is handling a lifetime responsibility.

"What's the matter? You're too quiet, I'm not used to it." Lellouch broke the silence.

"I wonder how much trouble you have caused me and the upcoming troubles I may encounter with you" He chuckled as he responded. Lellouch frown. As if she has any idea what he has been talking about. "Do you want to learn the truth? "

"About my real identity? You said I'm a Grand right?"

"Yes, you are."

"Then that makes us relatives, and relatives don't kiss." Lellouch smirk.

Alejandro pulled her cheek in annoyance. "Where did you learn to smirk?"

"From you." Lellouch answered nonchalantly. "So indeed, we are relatives, I knew it!" She unconsciously tapped her forehead.

"The answer is NO." Alejandro emphasized his response. "I am the son of the woman your father cheated with." He added indifferently.

"Oh... Thats... That's true? " Lellouch asked, unsure of what to say.

"Your father abandoned your mother when you were still in your mothers womb and runaway with another woman. That woman has a son, and it was me."

"Yes! I get, right! You're just going into circles! " This time Lellouch responded with annoyance. "I'm just surprised that you are a Grand when you don't are not a real one." Lellouch's eyes widened, realizing that her words might be offensive. "U-um, w-what I meant was that-"

"Yeah, I get it. Everything happened because of you. I just realized I was being prepared to protect you." Lellouch was tongue-tied. It took her much time to recover.

"Therefore it was true that you are the man I should marry? " She asked Innocently.

"Yes."

"And you accepted it because it is your duty? "

"Yes."

"Oh... So you are fine marrying a stranger? "

"You are not a stranger. We've kissed a couple of times." Alejandro laugh that started coughing because of it.

"We are a total stranger. You can have somebody's name without even knowing who he or she was. That definitely shows the two of us. We only knew each other by our names. I don't know you and you don't know me either aside from our names." Lellouch tried to find sense from her explanation. Arguing to this man is pointless, she thought.

Alejandro sighed. "I have known you since you were little. You have grown up inside the corners of your home since Felix told you it was never safe for you to go outside the perimeter of your home. I knew you were bullied in high school and was oftentimes bullied since they thought you are weird. When you were twelve you were kidnap when Marilyn tried to bring you to hospital due to high fever. You were saved by men in black and after that incident you were sent to Philadelphia."

"Okay... That's means I am a celebrity..." Lellouch barely said the words.

"More than that. Now, are you ready to learn about your real identity?" Alejandro asked her seriously this time.

"B-But... I am not ready. What if they are only mistaken? What if I am not the woman they are looking for?" she answered with uncertainty. Indeed, she was afraid. What if she is not the one? What will they do to her and her parents?

"There is only one way to find out. We must see you grandfather." Lellouch stiffened. The thought of meeting a very powerful man gives chills down to her spine. She not good at facing people with great identity. What she love is being in her comfort zone or playing with her toddler pupils way back in the Foundation.

Suddenly, she became lonely. She missed the kids. Teaching them new lessons, playing with them and cleaning them to rest is her satisfaction. It makes her at peace. Now her routine has been distracted by this man in front of him. Now her life is like going on a roller coaster ride. It unveils unforeseen emotions she never thought she has.

"The only way to find out is to come with me." Alejandro distracted her thoughts.

"And where do you think we are going this time?"

"Europe."

Lellouch thought deeply. Another oceans to cross just to find the truth. If it is really true then she will continue searching for her real identity, being a Grand might do her such favor. If they got the wrong woman, then everything will go back to where it used to be and she will be reunited with Felix and Marilyn - back to their destroyed cottage and rebuild their home.

She nodded slowly. "I think you're right. This is my chance to get some answers." she said in a low voice.

"I have one conditions though-."

"Oh! Come on! You have all you need, I do not have anything that you want." Lellouch stand, interrupting Alejandro's words

"Yes, you do." Alejandro retaliates and followed Lellouch footsteps grabbing her waist.

"He-hey! Let me go! You maniac!" Lellouch wiggled, trying to scape from his arms.

"Listen carefully. If your identity as Grand will be confirmed, we will get married at Moroco before sunset tomorrow."

Lellouch stopped moving and sighed - a sign of defeat.

"This order is not mine, it is from your grandfather - and that is to protect your bloodline." Alejandro said and released her. He walked past her living her on the living room - alone.

Meanwhile, it was the first time that Marilyn has ever seen the grass field and enjoy the fresh air after her operation. She was sitting on her wheelchair clasping her hands together while Felix came out of nowhere with a water on his hand.

"How are you feeling, my love?" Felix asked very sincerely.

Marilyn smiled. "Never been this better." She look at Felix on settled on the stool beside her and grabbed her right hand. "Have you checked on her?"

"She has been doing so well. She has change a lot - being so cooperative and obedient to Alejandro who kept her safe. I heard the man is going to marry our daughter?" Felix lied. He does not want Marilyn to know about the attacked that happened in Alejandro's mansion in Canada. That would definitely frightened her and affect her healing stage.

"Really? That's weird. They haven't known Alejandro for too long." Marilyn's confusion was evident.

"Actually it was their destiny. It was Alejandro who saved Lellouch when the both of your were kidnapped eight years ago. It was his team. Lellouch knew the truth and fell in love instantly to his savior!" Felix said cheerfully, trying to ease the suspense that his wife was feeling at the moment.

"Oh! Then probably he is! How would Lellouch did not notice that very important thing. That is the only thing that she never forgets about his savior - he got that Infinity Tattoo!"
