Chapter 11 - A Dream Felt Real

"Boss, I regret to say that the assassins you sent for the young lady were all executed."

Hearing the report, the man in glasses who was currently writing, paused and put down his pen. He took a sip of his wine, before he stood and dialed his phone.

"B-Boss! How glad I am to hear from you." There was tension as the person on the other side responded.

"Any good news for me?" the man's voice was cold as ice that definitely send chills to the person he was talking to.

"I-, w-we are working on it. I got a hold of the young lady unfortunately we were noticed and was trapped in the mansion. I-it was harder than we thought to attack them, w-we were trapped." The man on the other line reasoned.

"Were you there?" he asked again.

"I-I, W-we- of course. We escaped. N-now were heading to the quarter- "The man ends the call without letting the other person continued talking. "I want him out of the team. Make sure he doesn't see the daylight. "He commanded and went back to his seat placing his shoes on top of the table.

"Understood, Boss. How about the surviving co-pilot?"

"Na… He is not useful anymore. Take him to his resting place." He responded as if it was a normal thing to do. He took his phone and dialed again. It took awhile before the person on the other line answered.

"Fabio! How is my nephew doing?"

"I don't want to talk about it, Oncle." Fabio responded on the other line. The dismay was evident on his tone.

"I know how you feel. My men failed me again. Do you have something in mind?" taking a big gulp of his wine. Now he looks irritated.

"They're definitely heading to Texas. That is the safest place for him, that is his territory." Fabio responded when a woman moaning can be heard.

"Oh come on Fabio, when have you started being a coward?" he uttered with sarcasm. "You know damn well why I need that woman right? We need to know the secrets of her blood. We need to take hold of her before anybody else can." he said while gritting his teeth.

"I know, Oncle. I'm working on it." Fabio answered with irritation.

"Then why can't I see it work!" his voice echoed inside the room.

"Calm down, Oncle Jose .We can't even come closer to the area where the cellar is. It is well guarded. I need to think of another way."

"The cellar can wait! We need to decode the Copper Scroll, the rest of the Dead Sea Scrolls have confirmed that the cellar is just a portal, but it needs a sacrifice. A distinctive noble blood - a blood of an Atlantean." hissed the man. He was so determined to take hold of this woman, no other than but Lellouch.

The Copper Scroll along with the Dead Sea Scrolls were stolen by Jose Martins. Fabio's biological uncle. He is the son of Great Martins who was a descendant of Briar Bigelow a researcher and scientist who devoted her life searching for the remains of Atlantis way back 1930's.

"I told you I'm not interested with your fantasies, Oncle. All I need is my fortune that the woman carries on her head. She can give me heaven and fulfill my revenge." he retaliates.

"We are on the same page, my dear nephew. Just bring the woman to me then everything else will go smoothly according to you plan."

"I will, Oncle Jose." Fabio hang up the phone. It feels surreal finding out the truth about his real identity.

His father, was not the real Fabian Grand and he doesn't have a Grand on his veins. He was the son of the youngest sibling of the Martins Empire, Joaquin Martins, who were exchange to the real Fabian so a Martins can intrude the Grand Empire.

What happened to the real Fabian? He was experimented. The Martins are after his blood. He was tested multiple times if he could activate the Copper Scroll using his blood. It was believed that the scroll is a vessel of memories that shows the event before the disastrous disappearance of the controversial island. That needs a distinctive blood of an Atlantean - which they believe that Grands has.

This is enough reason for Fabio to take revenge on Magnus Grand, the man he thought his grandfather - the one who killed his father in front of him.

On the contrary, Lellouch was trying to convince Alejandro to let her see Felix and Marilyn whom she has not heard off for almost a month. She is worried about their safety and wanted to check on them on her own.

Alejandro on the other hand was so negative about. He does not want Lellouch to leave the mansion.

"Why won't you kill me, instead, if you want to lock me in this place and suffer?" her questions caught him off guard. He stopped what he is doing and close the laptop immediately.

"Why would you say that?"

"Is it normal to you to answer my queries with another question?"

"Well then, how would you like me to answer you?" he answered indifferently.

"You are not answering the damn question!"

"Pardon me, what do you want then?" he smirk.

"I want to see my parents." she ordered.

"They are not your parents."

"I do not care! Just bring me to them!" she shouted and Alejandro's head started to ache again.

"It is not safe."

"Where do you think I am safe? Here in your mansion? How sure are you that this is safer than any of your mansions? You did not even noticed the insiders roaming around your old mansion." it is her turn to smirk.

"This is a fortress, nobody can get in without even checked thoroughly."

Hearing this, Lellouch stomp her feet as paced back and fort in front of him.

"Can I at least call them?" she asked again trying to calm her voice.

"No." he answered calmly. He can clearly see how Lellouch shifted on her lovely face to a thunderous expression.

"Why can't I, Mister Grand?!" she hissed in a murderous tone that never affected Alejandro.

"Because you might be a reason for them to be tracked down by the enemy." and there, she was speechless. "Both of them and you were the targets of the enemy. If they locate where the both of them are through your phone call, it will be the end for them. We are trying our best to protect Felix and Marilyn as much as we can so I hope you understand the situation.

Lellouch slowly took a seat on the end of the couch. She rested her head on the armrest and sighed. "Can you at least tell me how they were?" she said in a low voice.

That made Alejandro glanced at her. She was devastated in her appearance. He smiled, taking the victory on this argument.

"Marilyn just had her heart transplant last week. It was successful and she is on recovery stage as of now. You don't need to worry much of her since Felix is taking good care of her. Besides, we got the best doctors ever known in the country." he assured her.

"I don't even know which country they are in right now..." she mumbled without even looking at him.

"Are you not happy about it?" he asked raising his eyebrow.

"Of course I am... I am grateful..." she answered in a very unconvincing way. "I just missed them. They worried me a lot."

You should not be worrying about them. Instead, worry for your self. When it comes to you, we are dealing a lot of enemies."

Lellouch sighed. "What should I do here? I feel bored."

"Well, we can make a baby?"

It was not long enough when a huge pillow hit the head of Alejandro and that made him chuckled.

"I heard that you love Archeology? Why haven't you pursued being and Archeologist?"

"I-I... It was hard to explain..." she said.

Alejandro stand and sit beside her. "Care to tell? I'm good at patching things." he uttered in an encouraging tone.

It took her a while to answer. But still, she did.

"I had this weird dreams when I was younger. It keeps on repeating and I always knew the end of it. I was inside an ancient dome to which the walls are full of unfamiliar scriptures. At the end of the hall was a huge table where a naked woman laid. In front of him is a man masked in gold, holding a golden dagger ready to pierced her heart. When she was about to get killed, the woman glance at me. That woman is me."

Alejandro was taken at back at what she revealed. He knew what this woman is telling. She is telling him about her future.

"I got curious about my dreams and started having my own research about the doom - hoping to find answers but I failed. The doom in my dream was different and it doesn't match to any doom discovered recently."

That explains why she got interested in Archaeology - to find answers about her dreams.

"Until my dreams become more vivid and I saw myself killed all over again. The moment my blood flows down from my body, the table glowed along with the scriptures on the floors and on the walls. The last thing I saw was that my body elevated in the air. I saw people clapping and the man in golden mask finally spoke to the crowd, welcoming the people to Atlantis."
