Lellouch was following Xanders lead in the woods. They have to go back to the crash sight and try to find some clues to where Alejandro might be. They were too close to the area when they heard gun shots. From the sound of it, it seems like the armed men have been into a serious or close fight.
"What's going on?" Lellouch asked covering her ears. The loud noises are getting closer.
"I don't have any idea. I need you to stay down and stay here. I have to see it for myself so we will know who our enemies are." Xander commanded.
"No! Take me with you! I won't get in your way, I promise. Just take me with you!" Lellouch hissed in her whisper.
Xander shoke his head yet he can do anything. The woman already crawled forward without waiting for his approval.
"Hey! You're on the wrong way!" It was his turn to hissed but then he followed her. "Will you just listen for a moment? You will get us in trouble!" He whispered as soon as he crawled beside her.
They stopped on a huge rock beside an Oak Tree. Leaning on the rock, Xander slowly creeped to have a glance of armed men who were gathering nearby. After a while, he positioned himself back to hiding.
"Whay have you seen?" Lellouch asked.
"It was terrible as I thought. We have two groups of enemies." Lellouch was shocked. Now it's getting more complicated.
The gun shot continues and it seemed nobody wants to back down. Xander wanted to have a pick again when Lellouch grabbed him with force. He almost got hit on the head if Lellouch haven't done what she did.
"Will you calm down first? Stop taking a look at them or else you'll get shot!" Lellouch reprimanded him. Xander look at her with amusement. He knew she was in panic. Her shaking hand can't deny it, but she tried to conceal her nervousness. "We will figure out another way. We will get a gun an-" Her plan was interrupted when someone called out to her.
" I know you are here, Young Princess." A voice of a man echoed on from the megaphone. "Just so you know, we are here for you. No more drama, just show yourself before I kill your bethroted fiancee."
Lellouch eyes widened as she stares at Xander whose face was clouded with anger. The man talking is no other than, Fabio.
"How come he located the crash sight immediately? " Xander thought when Fabio was terminated on the mission.
"Oh dearest cousin, I know you are there as well!" The man uttered sarcastically. "You really think your father trusted you that much? You were just a decoy!" and the man let out a sinister laugh. "Your father knew that Alejandro would never trust anyone but you, so he asked you to continue spying in behalf of me. And look how perfect the plan was succeeding! Nobody will scape this island alive."
Two men carried a body from the back of the truck and throw it on the grass. The body groan in pain.
"Here's your darling, Young Princess. You decide his faith. It's very simple. You surrender yourself and he lives. You continue hiding and he dies." Fabios statement was emphasized that it stabbed right through Lellouch heart. "Shall we start counting to ten?"
Lellouch's eyes widened. Surprisingly he can fell Alejandro's presence. She glanced at Xander confused of what to do.
"One... " Fabio began counting.
She was so desperate to save Alejandro yet was so afraid at the same time. Xander move closer to her and held her shoulder. Her body is shaking like crazy.
"I-I... " She tried to say something yet nothing came out from her mouth.
"Two... "
Lellouch closed her eyes and breath out. Tears flow on her cheeks like running water.
"Three..."
She gave in. She was about to stand and revealed herself when Xander stopped her midway.
"Four... "
"Will you trust me?" Xander asked her.
"I've never been so trusting in my entire life." Lellouch responded honestly.
"Five... "
" Know that whatever happens, this is the best way I could think of as of the moment." Xander explained to her.
"I'm ready to whatever it is." Lellouch stared at him, intently.
"Six... "
" This might hurt but I believe you will survive, if you truly are the real princess."
"Seven... "
"Wait- What are you going to do?
"Eight... "
"Awaken a demon. "
"Nine... "
Without a word, Xander cut the skin of Lellouch's neck. Blood drops like rainfall.
"Ten... " .. "N*mshka..."
Fabio and Xander called out at the same time and in a spun of time fiery creature ascends to the sky. It landed on the spot where Lellouch and Xander are hiding and a demonic face appeared in front of her.
It offers his hand towards her and a hypnotized Lellouch took it. The creature grab her light body closer to her and its long tongue lick the dripping blood from her neck. The creature can't resit it anymore and bit her neck sucking Lellouch blood. Lellouch began to look pale and Xander began to shout at the creature in front of him.
"Alejandro! You're killing the Princess!" The creature stopped and look at the lifeless woman in front of her.
Indeed this is Alejandro who just turned into an evil creature.
"Remember why I called you out!" Xander commanded him.
"Just who do you think you are to order me, human?" A cool voice echoed.
"She sacrificed for you. Now it's her who needs your help."
Alejandro examined the body of Lellouch. He can still feel it's heart beating. "She is still alive." He uttered and handed her over to Xander. As soon as her body was pla e on Xander's arms, the creature flew and massacred the other human beings around.
Alejandro discovered that there are three groups of hunters that pursuing them which involved the men of Jose Martins, some FBI Agents and the men of Fabio.
Unfortunately, Fabio did not recognize the demon in front of him. He was hysterical seeing the monster devouring and smashing the bodies of his men in front of him. And when the demon approached him, he was alreading peeing on his pants - crying like a baby.
The demon was reasy to attack Fabio when it noticed a thing hanging around his neck. A necklace of a crusader. The demon stopped midway and roar in front of Fabio face until the man passed out.
The necklace around his neck is an heirloom of a crusader who battles the demons a long time ago. Therefore Fabio was a descendant of a crusader.
According to his research, there have been three survivors during the attack of the crusaders and these three have passed down the heirloom to their descendants. That counts Fabio among the three.
On the other hand, it was the first time that Xander witnessed Alejandro turned into this monster. It was a secret entrusted to him that started when Alejandro asked his help to seal him in a cave for three days.
He thought the man was crazy to ask such favor when Alejandro's face so damn serious, he obliged. As soon as they reach the mouth of the cave, Alejandro asked him to guard the cave no matter what happened.
When the night came, he heard a loud roar. Animals of different kind came out running from the inside of the cave. Xander was skeptical to what was going on yet he stayed where he was. It was Alejandro's clear instructions not to let anyone come inside or else they'll see the end of their lives.
After the three days, Alejandro crawled out from the jungle, totally naked. His body was full of cut and bruises. He said he needs to unleash a demon during an specific period of time. Then Xander realizes that it was an eclipse the other night. Alejandro unleased a demon during the eclipse.
Looking at Lellouch right now, Xander has proven her existence. He observed thoroughly how the wound from her neck heals. He even tried hus best not to blink so he won't miss every details of it. And so the wound was gone, no scars, no traces at all. Lellouch breathing started to calm.
Indeed, she is the key to his real identity. Now he knew he was never alone. All this time, faith have crossed their path.
Saving Lellouch eight years ago was the beginning of everything. Upon holding the little girl in his arms he felt a sence of belongings, an explainable spark that arouse inside of him. It's a welcoming feeling, just like someone coming home for a very long time. The feeling was great! And when he saved her on the cliff and held her in his arms, same feeling aroused again like they haven't meet for a very long time. His longingness was very evident.
No wonder Alejandro would do anything for this woman. All this years they have secretly watch her from the distance like a madman or as a stalker as they call it. He has been secretly protecting her and executed privately those who tried to cause her harm. Even the men with inverted tattoos who have been trying to abduct her when she was still in college.
When it comes to Alejandro, Xander never really understood the man but still respected him. The only thing that he will never forget was to call the name of the demon when the situation involves between life and death.
