Boriat was a gigantic man in size and in strength. Ever since he was born, he was blessed with strength and that was what led him to become a soldier in the army of his kingdom since he was no good at academics not to mention the fact that he was a naturally violent and physical person.
That led him to many wars in a matter of a few years due to the unstable state of the kingdom. He had killed many people and saw even more die. All of that death and blood turned him from a violent monster that wrecked all the battlefields he stepped into to a man who saw no point in unnecessary deaths.
Weren't the people he was killing humans too? Didn't they have families, dreams, and ambitions like he did? Why does he need to kill them? Why do they need to kill him? Such questions passed through his mind during the nights he spent at the frontlines of the war, waiting for the moment he would add another victim to his counter or finally… become the victim himself.
A few years passed in that state, Boriat kept finding himself in extremely dangerous situations. Some of them left endless scars on his body and one of them precisely ruined his face which led him to wear his helmet all the time.
At around his 25th birthday, his kingdom finally collapsed and countless people were kicked out of their homes so they ended up moving to the smaller neighboring kingdom which oddly enough accepted them with open arms. One of these people was Boriat who had no other place to go after he lost his family in the war and had no money or properties.
When he arrived at the next kingdom, he found himself working as a guard in the capital. Until one fateful day, he heard the news that the royal family was opening auditions for the people that would form the hero party that would defeat the demon king.
Seeing this as an opportunity to atone for his sins and save countless lives from the might of the demon king, he decided to join this competition, and using his power, he was able to win and get accepted into the hero's party.
That was a day and this was a day, he was now one of the legendary heroes who ended the chaos of the demon king and was now fighting for his life and the life of his companions.
*BOOOOM*
Boriat's axe swung powerfully, slicing through all the enemies around him like butter. Blood splashed endlessly, coating the man's armor in its colors. Guts and flesh riddled the battlefield, a trace of the violence that occurred and was still occurring.
"Come at me, bastards! Let's end this!!" He smiled wildly as he dashed forward, wreaking havoc wherever he went. The demons tried to attack him endlessly which dealt a good deal of damage to his body from bites to scratches and everything in between, yet the man never stopped for a second.
Instead, he increased his violence and slaughtered everyone around him alive or dead. Every injury he sustained was pushing him to go beyond his limits.
"For the innocent lives that died!"
*Swish*
"For the people that had to lose their families!"
*Swish*
"And for my friends!"
Adrenaline rushed through the man's body like a raging boost of strength. He didn't care about what befell him and instead solely focused on brutally destroying his enemies.
"Hahahahahaha!!!"
Meanwhile, Mino and Arthur, who were too focused on their sides could only feel their morals skyrocketing because of him. Mino's holy sword ignited with white flames as he sent endless sword slashes toward the monsters. The flames were effective in burning and disintegrating every demon that touched it. His speed and accuracy reached a level of perfection like nothing else.
The hero was akin to a killing machine designed to destroy all the demons. He was trained in the ways of the sword and was rightfully the inheritor of the holy sword which he used to kill the demon king once and for all.
Now, he was using that same sword to destroy the rest of the demons.
Howls of pain along with the sound of burning corpses rose to the dark sky. The hero continued his rampage brutally. However, what he focused on was dealing as much damage as he could to the monsters without caring about killing them as there was another individual that was ready to deal with that matter.
'Ok, just follow what the information in my head says and I should be fine!' Gulping a mouthful of saliva, Arthur quickly submerged himself into his shadows using shadow steps before he quickly appeared again in front of his first burning target.
Pulling his daggers out, he swiftly sliced its neck. The monster couldn't even react in time to the sneaky attack as it was swift and precise and even if it could, the flames that boiled its flesh completely took its instincts away replacing them with endless pain.
Before Arthur could even have any moment to rejoice that his first kill succeeded, swarms of monsters jumped on him as if they were waiting for that moment.
'Shit!' Quickly, Arthur used shadow step again to escape. However, his small second of carelessness wasn't going to pass unpunished. Multiple demons were able to sink their sharp teeth into his arms and abdomen.
"Ugh!" Groaning with pain, Arthur quickly shook them off before he submerged fully into the shadows.
"Shit! That hurts!" Inside the shadow realm, Arthur groaned painfully as he touched his body. Blood started leaking out of the bite spots endlessly. "Dammit!"
The injuries were very deep considering the lack of actual armor on his body from previous battles so when the teeth sunk into him, they went straight through the flesh. This was by far the deepest injury Arthur had ever sustained. Never in his life had ever seen this much of his own blood.
However, he knew that he couldn't just stay there as the fight had barely started. So, he clenched his teeth and focused on the fight ahead as it was going to be way more brutal.
With that, Arthur quickly moved toward his next target at top speed. Jumping into the outside world, he quickly sliced with his dagger before he jumped into the shadows again before any other demon could bite him. But, that wasn't as easy as he thought considering the ridiculous number of demons around him. Arthur didn't even have space to actually move his feet from how tightly packed the stampede was.
So, that led to him getting into more and more dangerous situations. Many of the demons were able to grab into him and try to bite him. However, Arthur was able to push them off before they could deal any heavy damage.
That, however, didn't reduce the number of injuries he was sustaining as the number kept rising. At the same time, Boriat and Mino were also getting slowly overwhelmed by the numbers.
The trio slowly dripped blood as they fought like there was no tomorrow. None of them complained, not even Arthur even though he was new to all of this.
Meanwhile, in the back lines, Kali and Ani continued their relentless work to provide support. Ani, especially, had her whole entire mind focused on the ball fire she was creating. The ball was now the size of three people or more and gradually increasing.
"How much time left before you finish your casting, Ani?!" Mino asked from afar as he fended off a few monsters that bit him.
"4… No, 3 minutes!"
