Louise sat beside Sonya's bed while staring down at her as the doctor packed his equipment.
"It would have been a serious problem if she had been in there longer. I have prescribed some medicine for her. Hopefully, she will wake up after an hour or two," the doctor said before leaving.
The room fell silent. Louise took Sonya's hand and rubbed it before caressing her cheek.
He felt like punishing the person who put her in that condition, but that person was himself and no amount of beating could take away the guilt he was feeling.
"I'm sorry Susu, I was just trying to tease you and this happened," he murmured. If he had known that she would get hurt, then he wouldn't have disconnected the Wi-Fi. He wouldn't have even requested that she cook for him.
The more he felt remorseful, the more he plunged into depression. Suddenly, his head began to hurt, and his vision seemed to be changing.
