The next day when she woke up, Su Hui felt a bit groggy. She found herself in her room, fully dressed, and under her blankets, she tried to remember but couldn't recall how she got home the previous night.
"You're awake!" Gu Fan stood at the door, arms crossed, leaning against the door frame, with a look that was somewhere between a smile and a smirk, as if he was amused by something.
Confused, Su Hui asked, "May I ask, how did I get home last night?"
Gu Fan assumed a thoughtful expression, then replied, "Uhm, well, I can say I did what a friend should do, I stepped in to help when you needed it."
Upon hearing these words, Su Hui furrowed her brows slightly, guessing what might have happened, yet not quite certain. Having no recollection of the previous night made her feel rather vulnerable now.
Gu Fan wore a mischievous grin, "To be honest, you're quite heavy. I had to exert quite a bit of effort getting you into bed. My arms still hurt from it."
