Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Knock Off the Player

Controlling a dozen Beastman Warriors, Zhou Tian acted as if he hadn't seen the players, as if he were on patrol like usual, slowly moving towards them.

Zhou Tian recognized the identity of these players, but they were not clear about what made Zhou Tian different from the regular Beastman Warriors. As a result, when Zhou Tian led his subordinates towards them, this group of players did not notice Zhou Tian and his Beastman Warriors at all.

In the end, when Zhou Tian and his group were right next to these players, one of the players in the group cast a fireball towards Zhou Tian.

From the behaviour of these players, Zhou Tian could see he was visible, but the Beastman Warriors next to him seemed invisible to them.

In such a circumstance, Zhou Tian naturally knew how to utilize his advantage.

When that player cast a magic spell at him, Zhou Tian rolled to the right without any hesitation, successfully dodging that player's attack.

After Zhou Tian skillfully dodged the player's attack, the fireball that was thrown by the player, under Zhou Tian's clever manipulation, hit one of the Beastman Warriors standing at Tian's side.

When the unexpected attack happened, this peaceful Beastman Warrior, as if he suddenly saw the players, immediately growled angrily and attacked them.

"What happened? There was only one Beastman Warrior, how is there another one now?" The sudden appearance of an extra Beastman Warrior startled the players. Nevertheless, they weren't too worried about their safety. After briefly chatting, they quickly started a coordinated attack against the charging Beastman Warrior.

Considering the situation in the game, not to mention the Beastman Warrior, even with Zhou Tian, there was no chance of competing against the player's team. However, from the very beginning, Zhou Tian had not planned to fight these players. So, even if the players dominated the strength for now, they might not necessarily be able to defeat Zhou Tian in the end.

When those players started fighting with the Beastman Warrior, Zhou Tian, hiding on the side, had successfully made more Beastman Warriors join the fight through his commands.

Once hit by the players, the Beastman Warriors who could not see the players could then locate them. Utilising this revelation, Zhou Tian successfully made the Beastman Warriors he brought with him enter the fight with the group of players.

The subsequent events were rather simple. Even if the power of that group of players wasn't weak, after the Beastman Warriors surrounded them, these players, who were originally not superior to the Beastman Warriors, naturally wouldn't be their opponent.

In the end, after a brief skirmish, the players quickly retreated.

However, after finally advancing the situation to this point, Zhou Tian was naturally not going to let those players leave alive easily.

Thus, when those players were retreating while fighting, Zhou Tian seized the opportunity to strike.

When a few warriors managed to block most of the Beastman Warriors' attacks, allowing the priests and mages in the player's team to attempt a retreat, Zhou Tian, who had been idling, suddenly appeared behind them.

"Watch out."

Although the ongoing battle didn't allow the players to divert too much attention, when Zhou Tian appeared, they still noticed him in the first instance.

However, when the warning was given by the players, it was already too late for the priests and mages to escape.

After all, the current battle situation was highly unfavorable for the players. Even without Zhou Tian's presence, it was highly likely that they would all be gone. Thus, when Zhou Tian suddenly ambushed the mages and priests who were incapable of close combat, these players who were already at the end of their ropes had no chance of competing against him.

In the end, when Zhou Tian stormed out from the shadows, it took him less than five minutes to successfully slay those players.

However, when Zhou Tian successfully killed those players and fully expected gains, the final result was a great disappointment.

Just as he treated those players as NPCs, Zhou Tian killed them for experience but could not gain any other benefits from the process as he had previously thought.

In fact, after the players died, their bodies, like in a video game, exploded and dropped some potions and equipment. However, Zhou Tian could not collect these items off the ground no matter how hard he tried, which was quite frustrating.

In the end, Zhou Tian only gained a little experience from this combat.

Compared to the idle time before, gaining some experience now was a step up. However, he was not happy at all because there were great hopes placed on this operation. Initially, Zhou Tian thought he could gain something beneficial after killing those players. Now, suddenly finding out that there were no additional gains after killing those players deflated his mood completely.

Just as Zhou Tian was infurated that he couldn't pick up the equipment and potions dropped by the players, the rarely seen Beastman Warrior showed up, to Zhou Tian's surprise.

"Come with me. The Chief wants to see you," the Beastman Warrior said casually before turning around and leaving.

After hearing the Beastman Warrior's words, Zhou Tian immediately followed him.

In the game, the area where Zhou Tian stayed was part of the Novice Area. The members were composed of levels one to three playing the Beast Slave Area, levels three to five playing the Beastman Warrior Area, and levels five to ten playing Boss fights at the Beastman Tribe.

Within this series of areas, Beast Slaves were the lowest-level monsters, and if it was the Beastman Chief, he was naturally the final game boss.

As Zhou Tian found it hard to handle a level five player, any Beastman Chief who could directly threaten several players under level ten, naturally seemed like a powerful enemy to him.

Therefore, in the face of Beastman Chief's summons, whether out of respect for his powerful abilities or his status, Zhou Tian took it very seriously.

Following the Beastman Warrior carefully, Zhou Tian left the area he originally operated in and finally met the ultimate boss of the Beastman Clan, the Beastman Chief, deep within the plain where they lived.
