"So you think that your brother and father are the ones who dragged your mother down?" Cheng Ziang tentatively asked.
"What else could it be," Luoya sniffled, continuing, "They are enjoying themselves on Earth, while mother is waiting bitterly for them in this godforsaken place. I can't even begin to imagine what mother went through while she was pregnant with me. If they weren't going to come, they should've said so, instead of leaving her waiting in torment..."
"Luoya, your brother's days on Earth weren't easy either." After a pause, Cheng Ziang decided to defend Luo'er.
Luoya raised her head to glare at him, seemingly irritated by his siding with the enemy.
"After your father passed away, your brother's situation on Earth was precarious. You know that this world discriminates against half-elves, but you have no idea how insane that world is about half-elves. If not for your grandfather, your brother might have been studied and turned into a specimen by now." Cheng Ziang said.
