Chapter 4 - [003] Unfinished Novel_Ah_1

The original novel is called "Beyond the Abyss", it tells the story of the male lead, Lu Xiu, who grows from a pitiful child to a cold-hearted urban dragon. Lu Xiu has been motherless since childhood and lived with his busy father who neglected him, so he grew up to be a loner who didn't like to talk.

When he was eight years old, his father married a new mother for him, who brought a daughter, his older stepsister, Jiang Anxue. After a tough time, Jiang Anxue and her mother were finally able to enter the wealthy family. Naturally, they aimed to fully capture the heart of Lu's father. As a child with a keen sense of feeling, Lu Xiu did not like his new mother the first time he met her, the aversion and hostility in the woman's eyes made him extremely uncomfortable.

Lu Xiu wanted to tell his father about it, but each time, Jiang's mother would interrupt him and blame everything on the unfamiliarity of a child. Lu's father believed it to be so, hence he did not pay heed to Lu Xiu.

After a few days, the father of his second sister, An Yeran, died.

Feeling obligated, Jiang's mother had to bring An Yeran into the family in order to maintain the image of a good mother.

An Yeran, who has a self-effacing personality but understands the art of reading the room, tried to please her sister and mother. After the death of her stepfather, Lu De, she joined her sister, Jiang Anxue, in bullying Lu Xiu.

They not only locked him in the junk room, beat him up, starved him, but also often cut his clothes with scissors, and expelled him from the house in the winter.

Jiang's mother was pleased with all the actions of An Yeran, so she treated her second daughter a little better.

Sensing the change in her mother's attitude, An Yeran added fuel to the fire, bullying Lu Xiu even more.

At school, Lu Xiu was popular with the girls, and those who were jealous of him knew about his father's death and realized that no one would stand up for him anymore, hence whenever they were in a bad mood, they would drag him to the narrow lanes of school to beat him up and vent their anger.

Upon returning home, Jiang's mother turned a deaf ear and would sometimes even refuse to let him enter the house if his clothes were dirty.

To torment Lu Xiu even more, Jiang's mother dismissed all the servants of the house and made Lu Xiu do all the big and small tasks, which left him always dirty.

When An Yeran first read these parts in the novel, she kept sighing, saying this was obviously a modern male version of Cinderella!

It was also because he grew up in such a dark life that the already reclusive Lu Xiu became more silent, his temper became more extreme and reclusive. Later, he was discovered by his assistant to his maternal grandfather and was taken back home.

His maternal grandfather was a director of a multinational chain enterprise. Initially, his mother fell in love with Lu De, hence she gave up the company's shares and started from scratch with him in A City.

Lu De had no idea about his wife's true identity and treated her as an ordinary girl.

Even after Lu De passed away, he never knew that his wife was the actual daughter of a multinational director.

When Lu Xiu was brought back to his family corporation, he was seventeen. A year later, he returned to A City with resentment against his stepmother and sisters, and he took fierce revenge on them!

Jiang's mother was tormented and humiliated by his people for two days and two nights, and finally she jumped off the building. The older sister, Jiang Anxue, was sold to the mafia and became a prostitute everyone despised. The second sister, An Yeran, was sent to the mental hospital and suffered the crazy humiliation of the other patients there.

In short, his step-mother and her family all received their much-deserved revenge, and Lu Xiu's means of revenge were extremely ruthless.

But as an outsider reading the book, seeing it from the perspective of the male protagonist, it felt very satisfying!

Unfortunately, this book was left unfinished.

As for how unfinished it was.

An Yeran had never seen such a reckless author before, who, after finally offering a satisfying narrative, simply arranged for his protagonist to jump off a building!

That's right!

Jumped off a building!

After tormenting his stepmother to death, the protagonist literally followed suit and jumped off!

When she read this part, it nearly made her cough up blood in anger!

What the hell is this?!

What a joke!?!

Naturally, this book also received a lot of flak from readers. Of the hundred posts in the forum, ninety-nine were scolding the author, with just one being an advertisement.

The posts cursing the author were supported by the readers and spanned several hundred pages. Though An Yeran didn't join the chorus of criticism, she definitely cursed the author's ancestors eighteen generations back in her mind.

In the end, the author couldn't bear the scoldings and finally apologized, but the readers didn't buy it at all, they continued to scold him until the author ended up deleting his account and pen name.

This was the first urban dragon-themed novel An Yeran read on her e-reader, and the reason was that the second sister in the book had the same name as her.

Who knew the ending would be so outrageous.

Recalling the overall content of the book, An Yeran let out a deep sigh.

She never expected in her lifetime that she would actually become this cannon fodder second sister.

An Yeran was a bit sleepy. After drinking the milk, sleepiness surged over her. She reached for the bedside lamp to turn it off, only to discover that she couldn't reach it.

An Yeran felt that the house had its downsides.

Because she can't reach the bedside lamp while lying down!

Once she was really in bed, apart from having to go to the restroom, there wasn't anything else that could make her leave her warm bed!

Absolutely nothing!!

So she left the light on and just turned to her side to sleep.

Living in the world of this novel, An Yeran took it as a vacation. It wasn't real anyway, and she would be back when she turned eighteen. Counting the time, Lu Xiu's revenge on his stepmother's family was also at the age of eighteen, and she would have left this place by then.

In previous novels, those who travelled through had systems, but she was someone who had been accidentally drawn in.

S12 had its own host to serve. To bring her to this world was already more than enough, so she couldn't expect the system to help her.

Moreover, S12 didn't remind her of anything to be cautious about after it brought her here. Therefore, she didn't need to abide by the rules of the novel, and she didn't need to maintain certain attributes like other transmigrations. This makes it quite relaxing.

Early the next morning, the sound of the nanny preparing dishes came from downstairs.

An Yeran wanted to sleep a little longer, but was awakened by a knock on the door.

She rubbed her eyes impatiently, "Who is it?!"

Disturbing her sweet dream, are they looking for a beating?

Then, a soft voice echoed from the hallway, "Second sister, are you awake?"

An Yeran jolted awake!

It's Cinderella!

She got out of bed, walked over, and opened the door. The little dumpling standing on the other side was already dressed in clean school clothes.

The child's appearance was extremely delicate, his skin was as white as milk, and he had short coffee-brown hair, his eyes were as bright as obsidian, he was wearing a white school uniform with a black tie at the collar, the black trousers reaching his ankles.

Seeing her still in her pyjamas, Lu Xiu blushed instantly, "Oh, you're still in bed, sister."
