After finishing the meal, Amelia Clarke looked at the empty soup bowl in front of her and felt it necessary to say something about her previous statement, "I've had lunch."
"Um... I really did have lunch before, but Mr. Moreland's cooking is just too good, so I..."
Her words were half true and half flattery. Owen Moreland's cooking truly was amazing, and since she hadn't eaten much to begin with, she couldn't control herself and ended up cleaning the bowl.
Owen Moreland put down his chopsticks, glanced at her, and asked in a light voice, "Are you full?"
Amelia Clarke nodded quickly, "I'm full, thank you, Mr. Moreland."
Owen Moreland didn't say anything else and stood up to clean up the dishes and chopsticks.
Amelia Clarke rushed to do it herself, "Let me do it."
It wasn't right to have her employer do the work, was it?
Owen Moreland held back the hand she reached out, "Go sort the bookshelf, that's your main task for this afternoon."
