Seeing a literal three tiered serving cart coming their way with dishes packed to the brim, Arthur could only smile in embarrassment.
Thankfully, Arthur had canceled his serving and only asked for two.
One for Scarlet and the other for Yuki while he would taste a few of the bite size portions.
"Sir and miss, I hope you enjoy our cafe's deluxe serving platter." The waiter, whom I still don't know the name of, said with a slight bow after he placed our dishes on the table. Before continuing, "As for these two cups of tea they will be on the house. They are our cafe's specialty. I hope you enjoy it!"
"Thank you!"
"Thank you, Sir!"
After the waiter left, Arthur turned to look at Yuki, noticing she was also looking at him, he nodded to which she followed with a nod of her own.
Scarlet, after seeing our weird reaction, did not start eating instead asked "Is something the matter?"
[Scarlet continue acting normal. Don't react after you hear what we say.]
[That's right! Sis, make sure you keep acting natural!]
[Why?] Scarlet tilted her head in confusion at their weird remarks.
[The tea in front of you is poisoned!]
[How do you both know?] Scarlet said calmly before looking at the supposed poisoned tea in front of her.
[I'm not sure how Yuki knows, but I've kept my Mana Sense on ever since that black robed man had attacked you. That was how I saw Jeffrey the soldier adding some kind of black powder into your already made cup of tea.]
[I also saw that bastard adding poison when the chefs and waiter weren't looking. Even if I hadn't seen him doing it, I can still see the properties of tea aren't the same as Arthur's tea.]
Scarlet hearing that her tea was poisoned by one of her father's soldiers was instead blushing because all she heard was "I've kept my Mana Sense on ever since that black robed man had attacked you". To her, it sounded as though Arthur kept his Mana Sense on just to protect her from any harm.
[Humph, you could have potentially been poisoned, but you're thinking about such nonsense.]
[Heehee, Yuki you're just jealous!] Scarlet said with a teasing smile to which all she got in response was a [Humph!].
[Scarlet, are you okay?]
[Cough, sorry. I am fine!] Scarlet blushed this time in embarrassment when she received Arthur's voice transmission
[That's good, let's go catch Jeffrey!]
[N-no wait!]
[Hmm, why not?] Arthur and even Yuki were confused.
[Arthur, if you were a customer at Moon's Cafe and you heard that someone's drink was poisoned. What would you do?]
[I would go to another Cafe, but-]
[I know what you're about to say, but even frequent customers would be wary of coming back if one of the customers were poisoned. Even if it wasn't the staff who had done it. Just the fact someone could be poisoned under the staff's watch would scare them away. I do not want an innocent person's business to be harmed because of me!]
[Then what should we do? We can't just not drink the tea, otherwise, Jeffrey would be suspicious that we might have known it was poisoned.]
Yuki, who had been silent for a while mischievously said [Arthur, you can drink it!]
[...]
[Yuki, you can not joke like that!] Scarlet rebuked not liking Yuki's joke.
Arthur; however, thought otherwise..
Puffing out her cheeks, Yuki replied [I wasn't joking, Arthur is immune to poison!]
Yep, I knew it, God just how many gifts have you given me?
[Is Arthur really immune to poison?]
[I wouldn't joke about such a thing!]
[Will he be completely fine?]
[Yes!]
[Arthur, I'll be counting on you!] Scarlet said as she switched the poison tea with the normal one.
[Okay, now that it's over, let's enjoy these delicious cakes.] Yuki said before using her right paw to pick up a chocolate covered cake. [Sooo good! Scarlet, you have to try this one!]
[Yuki, try this orange colored one!]
[No this pink colored!]
As the two girls practically started inhaling cakes into their mouths, Arthur watched with twitching lips.
He didn't fully know of Yuki's background, but Scarlet was basically a princess.
Yet, where was her lady-like disposition?
Were the cakes that good?
At least she was using a fork unlike Yuki who was using both her paws grabbing at cakes and practically shoving them in her mouth.
"Arthur, try this!"
Hmm?
Breaking out of his trance he saw a fork in front of his face.
Since he wanted to see what was so good about the cakes he opened his mouth to which Scarlet pushed the fork into his mouth before taking it back out after it was cleaned of its content.
After swallowing the cake Arthur knew why the girls were so engrossed in eating the cakes.
While Arthur was savoring the cake, Scarlet was blushing while Yuki pouted at her sneaky behavior.
[Not fair, Sis!]
[Why don't you feed him as well?]
[But my paws…] Yuki said, sounding a bit sad. Won't he find it disgusting eating from her paws?
[I do not think Arthur would mind. Also, if you do not hurry, I will feed Arthur again.]
[Humph no way, I'm letting you!] Yuki said before she grabbed at one of the cakes.
[Arthur, open your mouth!]
Not understanding what for, Arthur opened his mouth as he felt a cake being practically shoved into his mouth.
Though it was tasty he couldn't help but cough as he reached for the poisoned tea before gulping it down alongside the cake.
[H-h-how was it?] Yuki said with a stutter. If not for her fur everyone would have seen her furiously red face.
[It was good!] Arthur replied not understanding why Yuki was stuttering. Maybe she was worried his poison immunity wouldn't work? Hmm, that would make sense. How cute…
After that, they all enjoyed the cakes with Scarlet and Yuki feeding Arthur one after the other.
