The curtain has a few holes, so sunlight may enter the room. Cali is roused by the cheery chirping of the birds. She repositions herself, and her eyelids flicker open as she does so.
Warm kisses envelop her forehead. Nik says, "Good morning, sleepyhead," in a playful manner.
"What time is it?" Cali inquires with a groggy tone, struggling to keep both of her eyes open.
Nik tells her it's noon while placing random kisses on her everywhere.
"Noon?" Cali erupts in shock. Since she has been out of work, she has developed the bad habit of sleeping for excessive amounts of time. These days, she has a relatively sluggish feeling.
"How long have you been awake?" Cali asks while keeping her eyes closed and savoring the shivers that his kisses leave behind.
"About a few hours ago," he answered.
