When Cali enters the DelaRoy estate, the first thing that catches her attention is how quiet it is. She will definitely hear the sound of a pin dropping. Everyone within the enormous estate seems to be holding their breath in anticipation of either the lion roaring or the thunder clapping.
The housemaids who are often seen sweeping, vacuuming, or dusting in the living room, corridor, or garden are nowhere to be found. That may be due to the fact that it is already late. Already 11 pm! The position has a reasonable pay rate, but in exchange, it requires regular overtime. However, this is a far more desirable alternative to being unemployed and entering the competitive job market once again. Cali lets out a muffled sigh.
"Miss Harrison, we need you to come to the study immediately. They are all currently awaiting the arrival of the younger Mr. DelaRoy." Cali acknowledges the maid's reminder with a tip of her head and expresses gratitude to her for being so kind.
