My mind started to regain clarity, and a sense of well-being washed over me as a vibrant green aura enveloped my body.
At that moment, I couldn't help but think, 'Is it common for people to have wings and weird hollow gaps?' But why did I feel like I was missing these interesting features?
Elsa, who was trying to cure my headache. Her hair was the color of lush leaves, matching her bright green eyes. No matter what, her look was gorgeous and had the same mysterious aura as Garp, but the most confusing part was her lack of wings.
Elsa noticed my look and quickly expressed her disgust. "Are you done ogling over my beautiful body?"
I hurriedly explained as I stuttered, "I'm sorry, it's just... Isn't this unusual hair color, hollow slits, latent wings, and intriguing green magic very common?"
Elsa's patience wore thin, and she replied, "Of course! Those traits are quite common among my kind, you ignorant fool. What you call "magic" is a healing technique, not a spell. Do I look like a trickster to you, Hmph, honestly"
I was very intrigued by this discovery and asked further, "So your kind they are like the angels?"
Elsa puffed out her chest and said proudly, "Yes, we are called seraphim or seraphlings, also known as angels by lower beings. We are tasked with upholding divine justice, and I must say that is a very honorable position."
"It seems your situation is more abnormal than I thought." Elsa took a deep breath.
"As you can guess, you are suffering from amnesia. Originally, you would have experienced retrograde amnesia and anterograde amnesia, but thanks to my healing and your unique healing factor..."
"A strange healing factor? And what do you mean by "healed"? I still have amnesia!" I interjected.
"Can you shut up? Let me finish. Ahem, the reason you still have amnesia is because of your self-healing factor, or simply because it's your unique gift."
"My healing factor?"
"Yes," she confirmed. "I have the power to heal you completely, but your body won't allow it. What's more, it's strange that natural mana itself helps your healing factors adjust to your survivability."
"Natural mana?" I asked
"Simply put, the forces of nature are helping you to heal so that you can survive. However, what is more unusual is the strange cause and effect and unusual fate around you." Elsa explained
"But why can't I recover fully? What do you mean by these anomalies in my destiny?" I asked, eager to understand the mystery of my condition.
Elsa's patience began to wear thin as she explained further.
"First, your brain has a hard time retaining large amounts of memories, especially strong emotions associated with your past. These feelings are so unusual that your brain has a hard time keeping up with them. Secondly, I belong to the "Seer" subspecies. Although I can see the complexity of your fate, I cannot comprehend it. In general, you are a mosaic of mysteries and anomalies."
"I see. By the way, who brought me here?" I asked.
"Why do you have so many questions? It's Garp." Elsa's responded with an annoyed expression.
"What!?" I was shocked, unable to understand why Garp offered his help. I was confused by his obvious hostility. "His tone told me he loathed me, and I doubted he would be willing to help."
"I know. This is why I told you before you'd be fine, because he won't hurt you directly. Hmm, that's weird. Wait!", she realized something.
A smile appeared on my face. "Garp helped me because he knew something about abnormalities related to me."
Elsa seemed surprised and complimented, "Your intelligence is far from insignificant."
She took a deep breath as she explained my condition, "Source amnesia is a memory error where you are unable to remember where, when, or how you obtained your specific memory. As for retrograde amnesia, it is where you lose all your previous memories. In your case, you are suffering both; however, thanks to my healing, you didn't suffer complete retrograde amnesia, and whatever you remember is suffering source amnesia."
"Huh?" I was completely lost, unable to understand any of her words.
As Elsa saw my puzzled face, she sighed," So basically, you didn't suffer total amnesia; you still remember some basic stuff, such as basic elements of your personality, logical thinking, language comprehension, and some basic knowledge, but you won't be able to recall how or where."
I laughed, "Haha, like I'm a 'LOTM' character, just like Klein." (Praise the fool.)
She asked, "Klein? Either way, you will gradually regain your memories as you encounter fragments of your past. However, you should be most concerned about Garp." "Why are you providing me with such significant assistance? I inquired, as I was confused since her behavior was the opposite of Grap's.
"Well, I don't know what Garp wants from you; as for me, hmmm, to put it simply, your condition is riddled with abnormalities, and I am intrigued by the nature and origin of these anomalies within a seemingly ordinary human," Elsa replied, studying me as if I were an enigma.
She paused as she thought about something. "Additionally, your fate is intertwined with our kind, the Seraphlings. So consider it an investment of my time for the future."
'So my memory loss is linked to some unknown abnormality, damn it, why can't it be just a normal memory loss' I muttered internally.
'What about Garp?' I sighed, glancing at Elsa. It seems she appeared to share the same concerns. After a few moments of thought, something clicked in my brain, and a plan appeared.
With newfound determination, I said, "Rest assured, first, Garp will not harm me well until he gets what he is after, and for that, he will surely come after me since he's my only significant lead related to my memory loss, so I have no choice but to face him." I paused and continued with a devilish grin. "For that, I have a plan, so don't worry about it."
In an unexpected twist, Elsa felt a chill down her spine and offered an unusual prayer. It was the first time in her life that she found herself praying for Garp to overcome the challenge that he might face from a powerless, weak human. "You!..' sigh', just promise me not to cause any trouble."
"I won't," I reassured her. "One last question, Where are your wings?" I asked with a friendly tone, feeling more at ease in her presence.
Suddenly, the room's temperature dropped, and Elsa's eyes turned icy. Realizing I had crossed the line, I swallowed hard as a tense silence filled the room.
Recognizing the tension, I backtracked, "Never mind…"
Elsa's order was clear and direct. "Leave."
Confusion clouded my mind. "Huh?"
"I said, Get out. Your presence is no longer needed," Elsa stated, her eyes remaining cold.
I quickly apologized. "I'm sorry." Fear filled me as I walked to the exit.
Just as I was about to leave, I heard a sigh, "Wait! Before you go, I want to give you two suggestions." It looks like Elsa still had a parting gift of wisdom.
My enthusiasm was obvious, and seeing my childish reaction, she couldn't help to resist a teasing remark, "Are you a child?"
"Hehe," I gave a small smile.
"In any case, I'm all ears," I replied.
Elsa proceeded to impart her counsel. "First of all, I would strongly advise you to avoid encounters with high-level or advanced seraphlings since your irregularities and your unique aura may attract their attention, especially until you learn to control it. Second, always remember your status as a 'lower being.' Do not provoke others higher; I may have forgiven you now, but others won't, so be thoughtful of your word easily with higher races."
"I see," I said, confused, 'higher race, status?' unable to understand much about it 'But I will find out later. Let's not ask any questions to annoy her,' I said to myself.
"It would be best to avoid any future encounters with me," said Elsa as she dropped a sad bomb.
A feeling of despair came over me when I heard that I wouldn't be able to meet her anymore.
Noticing my sad expression, she couldn't help but sigh as she offered a compromise. "You can contact me only in the case of life-threatening emergencies. Furthermore, I will allow you to schedule an appointment every six months. But remember, this is only to discuss your memory recovery, anomalies, or urgent updates, understood?"
"Yes ma'am" I enthusiastically agreed.
"Now, get lost!" she exclaimed, pointing towards the exit.
"Huh? But where should I go?" I inquired, unsure of my next steps.
"Simple, once you leave this room, you will find yourself outside there. You will find someone of your species; he is the guide that I have arranged for you," Elsa instructed.
I nodded, left the room, and began the next chapter of my journey.
