Mr. Regal arched an eyebrow at Joanna. "Are these accusations true?"
Joanna vehemently shook her head. "No! Absolutely not! She's just trying to tarnish my reputation because she despises me!"
Diane chuckled, her eyes gleaming with mischief, while Jordan observed Arthur who remained in silence. "Well, Arthur, what's your take on all this? Do you trust Diane?" Jordan questioned him.
"Arthur, don't listen to her! I had no idea what went down! I put my life on the line for you! I saved you from those assholes who tried to murder you that night! I did!" Joanna protested desperately, hoping to sway Arthur away from Diane's influence.
Arthur blinked and looked at his father's piercing gaze on him. "I am… I came here to break off the engagement."
